I think it has the best variety, value and great tasting food in Uvalde. There is something for everyone. Our favorites are the Monday green chili enchiladas. I've eaten hundreds of green enchiladas over the past 50 years. These are the BEST! Other favorites are stuffed pepper steak which we get the home fries ( delicious) with the small upcharge of queso . This also comes with a side salad to start. Again- one of the best we have ever had. The description of Julio's says barbecue which we only had once and it was great on the tacos. I've never had their breakfast tacos but the drive thru is always busy with the take out tacos. The sandwhiches, chicken fried chicken and big salads are great too because the salad dressings taste home made. Restroom break was needed, and like some gas station restrooms, this one isn't horrific, but it's not one to get too comfortable in either. Hands washed, and back into the main part of the store, I got my coffee, and was almost tempted to get some breakfast tacos being put together from the women working the hot foods section. Yet, that Hwy 90 beckoned me to get on the way to San Antonio. Friendly, helpful employees, (this is small town Texas after all), and not bad coffee (I've had enough bad, hot brown water in the past).
