There was so much mozzarella (it should be an accent not a big goofy blob) I couldn't eat it. The waitress started to take my bowl away and I explained (she didn't bother to ask) that I couldn't eat it because it was so salty. She said oh sorry about that. That was all. Then the food.... eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was so thick and heavy and extremely greasy. Red pasta sauce tasted like unseasoned tomato goop. The noodles were cold and under cooked. The whole thing was smothered in goopy mozzarella. It was awful. I only.took a few bites and couldn't eat it. My son got the manicotti. He said the same about the sauce (we both have bad heartburn from it) and he said the inside of the manicotti didn't taste like anything and the filling was runny, not firm. He said it was gross. Our waitress never offered to fill our drinks. We were not offered any dessert, not that we would have eaten any. The bill was $90 before tip. We were royally screwed. It was disgusting and I'll never go back.

Got that pretty heavy from this pizza, in every bite (got the deep dish). Everything else was good. Cooked the right amount of time, the sauce is good, solid cheese pull action, but I couldn't get over that taste pulling down the experience of each bite. I don't know if this is a consistent thing here or a one off bad day or week kinda deal, as this was my first time here. I'm spoiled by Rosati's of Belvidere, where everything I ever got was perfect every time, except their soup in a pan "lasagna" :( Since I get around a bit for work, I would just go back there, or maybe one in Chicago. I love pizza, I'll drive for a good pie. Still better than being in southwest Florida any day though, it's pure overpriced celebrated sub-mediocre down there 99% of the time, and no Chicago style.
