Even though we were there on a weekday during their lunch special, we were not given the lunch special price. Their ice machine was broken and they only had lemonade or canned soda, which I declined. We ended up paying almost $15 per pizza, no lunch special offered and still charged me $1.08 for ranch dressing. I had never been here before and the employee heard me say that and didn't mention a lunch special price or anything. Bad business! Also, several employees were there standing around. Other than us there were only two other customers. The place was dirty, several tables needed cleaning and no one was in a hurry to do that. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place! Before I realized they didn't even offer me the lunch special I also tipped when I paid. I would not have tipped if I had realized that. And I'm a huge advocate for tipping!! The service was excellent; our waitress frequently stopped by to offer refreshments, extra plates, and to check in on us. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, green chile, and ricotta cheese. My friend ordered the turkey pesto sandwich, which he also said exceeded his expectations. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is more of a small intimate feel. Came here on a Thursday evening around 7. There was only one other group at a table and us. The…read moreserver politely reminded us they close at 8 which I found odd seeing as we still had an hour. My family opted for a variety of items on the menu; pizza slices, chef salad, meatball sub, and meat lasagna. The food came out surprisingly fast and tasted fresh and hot. Everyone enjoyed their dish with the exception of my daughter who got lasagna. She wasn't a fan of the sauce, it was savory and she prefers sweet. I tasted it and liked it, so it's just a matter of preference. The lasagna came with a ton of sauce and melted mozzarella which I loved, but she prefers more of a traditional form. Again, just preference differences. Two guys arrived around 7:20 and I observed the server clearly irritated and grumbling under his breath on his way to greet them. He informed them they close at 8 prior to even seating them and said they could only be served if they ordered right away. They happily agreed, but I was a little put off by it. You would've thought these guys waltzed in five minutes before closing based on how the server treated them. I contemplated knocking off a star based on the server's urgency to close up, but opted not to because the food was very good and the service was as well notwithstanding the closing issue.
