Disappointed with the service and quality under the new ownership. I asked the server what kind of…read moreveggies were in the special omelette and she wasn't sure so she checked with someone. She came back and said "every kind of veggie we have" so I asked for no peppers. My omelette arrived along with the gluten free sun-dried tomato toast I ordered. The omelette had peppers and my toast was completely raw and doughy. The server never checked back in so we were able to get a different servers attention and told him about the bread being raw. I asked for a new piece of bread or just a piece of white gluten free bread if all the sun dried tomato bread was raw. He returns with the same piece of bread stating it was a new piece. They clearly cut off the end I had bit into and just microwaved it. It was warm but still doughy as it clearly wasn't fully cooked.

I asked for the hashbrowns to be cooked well done. and they came out just like everybody else's large and undercooked for hashbrowns service was great food came out in a reasonable time very satisfied.

Yesterday, with blinders on, I would not be sidetracked. The CB was excellent. Perfectly cooked w a nice charbroiled taste. The bun held up it's part of the bargain. It was lightly grilled and didn't fall apart (this is very important). Sauteed onions rounded out the experience. The burger was in my top 12 all time, and I've tried them in hundreds of places around the country. Fries ok, nothing special, but at least hot. Prices very reasonable, barmaid Cathy a fixture (and personable and efficient). Lots of friendly locals. Anyway, so many great choices on the menu, and daily specials. Wish it was closer. 5 charbroiled stars

Don't you just love a good Irish bar/restaurant!! The atmosphere, the Irish decor, the noise and…read morelaughter. Ireland would be proud of this gem! The apple sangria was tangy, sweet and well balanced. Really went down well. So well I had a second one-to ensure it was as good as I thought. It was! They ran out of the prime rib special (it looked amazing so I'm not surprised). I got a French dip sandwich which was tender and well seasoned. Loved that the roll and the au jus were still hot when it arrived. The garden salad had fresh crisp lettuce and lots of veggies. I highly recommend McCarthy's Pub It is Sarmhaith (Gaelic for top knotch/excellent).

For a café with more serving space than cooking space, you'd think they couldn't pack a punch, but…read morethey do. The café here, West Street Coffee & Tea, uses their square footage to pack a few tables, and a bookshelf or two with possibly the proprietor's gifted collection for customers to read. The West Street Coffee & Tea helps you feel at home stopping in for some coffee, a selection of a quick breakfast sandwich, a pastry from the bakery across the parking lot, or some other treat. I have enjoyed a quality and consistency of service, not only filling out punches on my loyalty card, but appreciating both my drinks and my meal. The kitchen staff has served me quickly when they are not my talented cashier and barista as well--though do consider this a compliment worth tipping the staff for their ability to know how to run a café in part or in whole. The West Street Coffee & Tea boasts a humble parking lot, but the sizable line of parking spaces allows cars to park and then usually drive forward to depart. This fits that the five to six tables are set well in each of the rooms they rest, with ample light from the interior and exterior. I could imagine the drink staff would keep up with a variety of orders that are park and departing, so be mindful that there is parking at other corners of the plaza rotary on busy hours like at other restaurants within Amherst. Busses do travel by, and I'd suppose those from the PVTA that go between Amherst and Hampshire might even stop here. For a quite accessible location, I can only imagine they enjoy being a secret delight of this area of south and east Amherst.

Looking for ice cream in Belchertown is difficult! So hoping that the McDonald's ice cream machine…read morewas working, we made our way to that restaurant. Three people were already ahead of us, but they were long-waiting for their order. More people came in after us, some door-dash types and some ready to order at the counter. Finally! A staff person finally acknowledged us after several minutes and took our order. But after about 5+ minutes, I was informed the caramel machine was broken. So I opted for the hot fudge. By the time I actually received the sundae it was after another 5+ minutes that flew by slowly. I took it over to the table and found the ice cream already half melted, creating a mess in trying to eat it. I finally succeeded but needed to wash my hands. Going to the bathroom I found a sign on the door stating one has to ask for a key at the service desk to get in! Ugh, I hated the idea that I had to get back in that line?, but I tried the door and found it unlocked. Upon entering I found a mostly clean bathroom but the soap dispenser issued very little soap because someone had taken it apart and those parts lay across the top of the sink. Fun. After all of this, as I was eating, I noticed the constant long lines of vehicles winding around the building, waiting for the drive-up. So when we left we could not even back up out of our parking space immediately because of the back-up almost to the road. What an experience all for some ice cream.
