HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! GREAT WORK AND STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE!…read moreI had an excellent experience with Founders Insulation and owner Brian Handy. Brian's a great guy--knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and easy to work with. He clearly explained what was needed, what was optional, and why. He showed exactly where the insulation and air-sealing problems were, giving me complete confidence in his recommendations. There was no pressure to add unnecessary work, and everything stayed within budget. Work included removing old attic insulation, extensive air sealing, insulating the attic to R-60, sealing the attic hatch, adding insulation to vaulted ceilings, and spray-foaming problem areas and a cantilever. The team did an incredible job. I was especially impressed with how thoroughly they cleaned up afterward. Most importantly, I've noticed a significant decrease in my heating and A/C costs since the work was completed. Excellent communication, quality work, fair pricing, and no surprises.

After getting several quotes, I chose Founders insulation to remove my old fiberglass insulation…read moreand replace it with cellulose. I would give them five stars for their prompt communication setting up the initial appointment, for providing a competitive quote and then answering all my questions about the insulation product they were going to use. I felt my concerns were heard and responded to respectfully, especially by the owner Brian. The crew that did the removal and installation were also punctual, friendly and took good care of my property. Despite working long hours in 100 plus degree conditions. The only reason I dropped a star was because after the dust settled and we were able to access the attic we noted a few things that bothered us. Most of these issues could have been easily addressed if the installation crew had been more communicative with us throughout the process. Instead we had to deal with these issues afterwards which was rather frustrating and took several weeks to resolve and required us to call in other contractors. I would still recommend this company for all the things that they did well. But more and better communication from the work crew would have made this an overall five star experience.

A completely unprofessional company. Getting them to show up at all is a chore, and when they do,…read morethey have "equipment malfunctions" that keep them from doing any work. Out of 5 days of spray foam work, they only did real work once. Also, they almost killed our cat by using the wrong foam, despite telling them he would be home. Luckily they had an equipment malfunction. We're two weeks into a 3 day job with no end in sight, and no insulation on our house.

I called Pride Insulation to give me an estimate on adding insulation to my home. Hal called and…read moregave me a time and date for the estimate. Warning sign #1 - Hal arrived 20 minutes late but I thought oh well things happen. Warning sign #2 - When I showed him where the attic hatch was he informed me he didn't have a ladder and asked if I had one he could use. Warning sign #3 - Hal then informed me that the light on his phone wasn't working well and asked if I had a flashlight he could borrow. After supplying Hal the items needed he finished and gave me an estimate. Afterwards I had several questions and tried to reach Pride Insulation. I left several voice mail and email messages. No response. Finally, I left a deserved review on Yelp and quickly received a call from Hal (Pride Insulation). Hal said that this review would hurt their business and asked if there was anything he could do to help the situation. I explained that I had called and sent email and had no response. And if this is how they treat a potential customer image what kind of response you would get if there were problems once the job was finished. Hal agreed to work and correct the problems. We agreed for him to do the work on Monday February 27, 2017. I paid him 50% after he argued that he usually gets 100% of the money up front! Hal then said he would call me the next day to set up the insulation install. So I waited all day Tuesday. All day Wednesday. All day Thursday. No call. Tonight, Thursday evening I called Hal and canceled any insulation install and requested a refund of the deposit. Be careful doing business with any insulation company that: (1) Arrives late with no call. (2) Doesn't have a ladder. (3) Needs to borrow a flashlight. (4) Won't return phone calls or email. (5) Asks for 100% deposit. (6) Doesn't do what they say they will do.

I used Prime Property Inspectors on the recommendation of my agent in 11/19. Unfortunately, some…read morevery blatant things were missed which ended up being very costly. There was severe water damage to the subfloor under both upstairs bathrooms. That portion of the subfloor was the ONLY part that was visible and accessible during the inspection, yet in the subfloor section of the inspection it was marked as functional. The choices were functional, marginal, non-functional, or not inspected. If it was at least marked as marginal or even mentioned in a comment, I would have inspected it further and probably backed out on the contract. Unfortunately, I did not discover this damage until after settlement. I called the company and spoke with one of the owners, Ray. He was pleasant and came out quickly to take a look. As soon as I showed him the areas that were missed, he immediately offered a refund of my inspection fee without question or protest. But he also made it very clear that the cost of the inspection was where their liability ended and they would not cover any repair costs due to their mistake. I think I'm pretty reasonable, and do not expect an inspector to be able see through walls and find hidden damage. However, this was out in plain sight and could not have been looked at before filling out the inspection report. I also understand mistakes happen, but at the end of the day they would not make it right. I was left holding the bag for a huge repair bill that would have made this property not worth it and could have (and should have) been avoided. The inspector was exceptionally knowledgeable about housing issues, potential solutions, and misc. advice. They provided guidance on a range of issues from structural issues in the basement to roofing to smaller items, such as AC sensor placement. Additionally, they were honest on the limitations of their knowledge and recommended additionally inspections by licensed inspectors where needed. We used the report to identify issues and negotiate a fair price for the property.
