I wouldn't use this company. Unless you want to pay $200 for a surface level cleaning, and Terrible customer service. I won't leave a bad YELP unless the customer service was really terrible--in this case it was some of the worst I've ever had. (Check out my review of Best Portland Cleaners--they were awesome!). Sorry in advance for the long review, but it explains our experience: My boyfriend and I used domestica cleaning services 3 times. The owner below states in her response that my boyfriend "the homeowner" or her "client", but that is incorrect, I live there as well, so we are BOTH the client. Also in all of my email correspondence to the owner, I CC'd my boyfriend, and he was in agreement with our dissatisfaction of the cleaning service and customer service. It doesn't matter at this point though, the owner obviously took the time to write a long list of excuses for her poor service and cleaning job, and place the blame on me (the paying customer). After the last cleaning my boyfriend and I were both home and we agreed that it wasn't a good job. The floors were still dirty in the kitchen and downstairs. We didn't see any sort of mop or device that cleaned hardwood floors, as the owner claims below ( I even sent her a picture of the dirty floor). When the owner reached out to my boyfriend (she had his contact info, not mine), it wasn't to see if he was satisfied with the service or to ask him how the cleaners had done, she referred him to their website and wanted to give me him a list of the services they provide (or more, what they don't provide). She said we'd have to pay extra per each window cleaned, it's not included in their standard cleaning fee. So, basically what's included in a $200 cleaning fee is again, surface cleaning. I let the owner know that we weren't satisfied with the cleaning service says and gave her a list of reasons why (which are stated above). I told her we review the website, which states that they "hand wash the floors and baseboards". I never saw the cleaners enter the house with a mop or anything resembling a mop. I even sent her a picture of the dirty bathroom floors and baseboards so she could see that her cleaners had not done a proper cleaning job. She responded by lecturing me about the differences between a cleaner and a maid. This immediately made me feel like she did not really care about her customers needs or ensuring customer satisfaction. It was like, she was my customer and she wanted to argue with me to prove some point. Then, it gets even better... She did offer to have the cleaners come back the next day because We weren't satisfied with the service, so I will give her credit for that. However, because my boyfriend and I were offended by the way she treated us, I didn't feel like having the cleaners come back at first. I did respond, the very next day, that we would actually like the cleaners to come back since we paid $200. Instead of just apologizing for the poor service and agree to have the cleaners come back, she proceeds to tell me that her cleaners " of course clean the floors and baseboards". Basically calling my boyfriend and I wire, since we are both there during the whole time the cleaners are there. She also went on about theist policy of only coming back after 24 hrs to fix a cleaning service and that now it was 5 days past that, but she wanted " to close this matter". Again, acting like she was the customer, I mean I have never received such poor customer service and I was pretty appalled by this time. read more

Hired them to do a last minute cleaning of a family member's home. The family member is disabled, and so unable to deeply clean on his own, but was worried about how he would be treated by people in his home, how the cleaning solutions would affect his assistance dog, and how much it would cost. The Domestica people were FANTASTIC, pleasant, respectful and unobtrusive, cleaned the room my family member would be spending most of his time in first, and then cleaned around him. The environmentally friendly, non-toxic cleaning products they used put him at ease in regard to the dog, and the cost was WELL short of what he (and I) had been expecting. Would HIGHLY rec these folks to anyone! read more

Highly recommend Domestica! I used them on multiple occasions for move-out services--they fit me into their schedule on relatively short notice, and most importantly they did an excellent job for a reasonable price. When I walked into my former apartment with friends to do a last once-over, they said "wow it smells GREAT in here!" read more

I hired this company to perform a deep cleaning on my house before we were hoping to begin every other week cleaning. When I arrived home thy afternoon after the cleaning I found many things as unsatisfactory. There was soap scum still on the shower tiles. The refrigerator and oven were not cleaned at all. When I spilled water on the floor the paper towel used to wipe the hardwood floors was covered in dirt. I ended up spending part of my short weekend to clean up after this cleaning service. I emailed the company about the issues and they offered to come back and correct their mistakes but since I had already done that I asked for a lower price. This was denied and in a very rude manner. I ended up paying the entire fee to avoid any more contact with this company. read more

I've used Domestica for both my home and business for years. They are dependable, on time and cool. The best part is that everything smells like lavender when they're done. Highly recommend! read more

I've used this company for over 10 years for everything from move-in, move-out to weekly, bi-weekly and monthly cleanings, depending upon the needs. As staff has changed, there have been times when details with depth of cleaning have occurred, however, because of management openness to feedback, any issues communicated have been addressed promptly and without issue. The staff have always been kind, professional and flexible with my schedule. Of major importance is trust and Domestica has mine completely. Once an item was broken during cleaning and a note was left apologizing and assuring us it would be paid for or replaced directly (only once was something broken). Sometimes they leave notes about our cats antics when they are there, which is a nice treat to come home. It feels like an extension of family. read more

We've been so pleased with having Domestica keeping our home tidy for the past 10 plus years!! Such a professional, thorough, and considerate crew, and they clean our place like it's their own home! We're a messy bunch with an active kid, and shedding dog, and the stuff of 'life' around our place and they always make our space feel revived, sparkly and smell darn good too! Add to that. we're so grateful and pleased with the natural products they use to clean our place and it always smells revitalized and breezy once they've visited. I've also had Domestica on task to help clean my messy work space, and they've made our office sparkle too! Domestica-thank's for making us look good!!! read more

Fantastic job. Hired Domestica to do a thorough deep cleaning in preparation for selling the house and they managed to clean up dirt on the vinyl floor that I've never been able to get up. The stove was sparkly like the day I bought it and everything smelled so fresh. Very satisfied. I should of hired them years ago to do a monthly clean for me! read more
