The dolphin show at seaworld was fantastic! super fun and I loved hearing the kids around me get excited! I hope the dolphins are treated better than I've heard they were in the past! I do highly recommend watching the show! I'm 29 and I felt like a kid because the energy was just super fun and it was my first time there! Bring out your inner child! Oh, the classic SeaWorld dolphin show. What creatures dolphins are! They're so intelligent, yet so beautiful and cute and quirky and playful. The way they interact with humans both in captivity and the wild is just fascinating. Though I prefer to see my dolphins in the wild at a beach, I think SeaWorld does a pretty good job with this show. There's a beginning actor who almost acts as a jester in the pre-show, making jokes and entertaining us until more people fill in. I compared the setup of the dolphin show to the orca show, and the biggest difference was that the dolphin show by far had more live action of the animals, whereas the orcas had a heavy focus on entertainment. Thinking about the animals in both I think this approach makes sense. I've been to SeaWorld before their controversy and after, and the place where I noted the biggest change was in this dolphin show. It's quite interesting how much it was transformed. Even though it's more performance-based than the orca show, it's maybe a third as performance heavy as it used to be- believe it or not. I think the changes are definitely for the better. The old show was actually way out of hand, and there was so much going on it almost brought the dolphins out of focus, which is supposed to be the main reason to go. Even just the landscape of the show is so different. It's much more natural looking now, so then your eyes aren't distracted by a giant, flashy stage. But I have to say, even with all the changes for the better, I didn't enjoy this show as much. The dolphins are incredible, and I like that they still have taken a more educational approach. But something just was lost in translation for me. Maybe I'm numb to the coolness of dolphins because I live in Florida and see them decently often for a human, but I don't even think it's that. It just seemed like the dolphin show was lacking a little substance. They perform all these neat tricks and stuff, but it just seemed still too much. Like it was a hollow performance, if that would make sense. If you come to SeaWorld, certainly you should attend a dolphin show! But hopefully you'll have a different experience than I did. read more

This theater has gone through some changes in recent years. It was a closed stage with sets that aligned with a narrative story being acted out on the stage. Now the stage is open and gives you a clear view of the Dolphin training area pools. The focus of this show is on educating the audience about methods they use to train dolphins, as well as teaching about caring for the environment to protect dolphins in the wild. The trainers take the time to talk to guests and answer their questions. They are all very knowledgeable. read more

These male bottlenose dolphins are highly trained and happily rewarded with buckets of tasty fish! They dance, do flips high in the air and take out their big fins to splash their trainer or you if you sit close enough! Next time ha ha! We learned this particular type of dolphin has a type of camouflage that protects themselves from predators, pretty cool! I would highly recommend attending this fun show, we had a great time and cannot wait to come back! read more

One of the best shows at Sea World! Enjoy a little dance party and get excited with an MC pumping up the crowd! Then sit back and watch and multiple dolphins come into the stage area and start swimming around and jumping out of the water! They explain how these tricks are normal behavior for dolphins and the benefits these actions have for the animals in the real world. It's the most entertaining show! Dolphins always look happy and make for some great photo opportunities and wow moments! read more

At the risk of anthropomorphizing animals, this show has some of the cutest and most engaging animals available at Sea World. They even just look like they're smiling at you. They can't seem more playful and happy than they do, and that helps you want to watch them. The stunts and tricks that they engage in, the banter of the group and everything makes it a pretty good experience. In fact, the only negative I can say is how loud the sound and music are. My wife had to completely sit and plug her ears during the show because of the unbelievable volume. That old saying, "If it's too loud, you're too old." Well, I guess I'm too old, but at least I still have my hearing. read more

The dolphin show at Seaworld, Orlando is pretty much the worst show they have. Sorry, I just recently saw them all and it IS the worst show they have. First off, it's in a beautiful open-air theater area. The show starts off odd with some quite stupid back story about some girl that wants to walk on the waves and do stuff in the ocean. This leads a poor pink-clad dolphin trainer to do some idiotic dances and other stuff throughout the show that no self-respecting animal trainer should ever have to be subjected to. On with the show. Dolphins come out and do a variety of jumps and tricks for maybe 5 minutes. Then the show goes HORRIBLY wrong! For about 10-15 minutes (depending on if they do the whole thing or not), divers jump into the pool (feet first, odd) from high platforms and a bunch of birds fly around. Then people do some wire work (they're suspended over the pool) and a bunch of other junk that is best left for a circus. Oh, and MORE BIRDS. At this point, I'm thinking that it's a bird show. Seriously, up to 4 birds are constantly flying around the stadium over people's head. My guess is they do this to distract people from the train wreck that they are watching in front of them. Well, now we're 20 minutes into the show, and the dolphins come back out. Yep, FINALLY! They jump around, some trainers ride on them, and things are pretty neat for 5 minutes. Then it ends. Yup, over. Don't know what the heck Seaworld person decided that the public didn't really need to see dolphins at the dolphin show and took out the parts they had years ago where they talked to the audience about dolphins and how to train them and brought kids down to pet them. NONE of that happens anymore. It's like one big off off off off Broadway productions of BIRDS, featuring dolphins. Think of how much those songs that "ft. Jim Bob" actually have of Jim Bob singing. That's about how long the dolphins actually perform at the dolphin show. It's an embarrassment to an otherwise great park and someone should be fired, rehired, and then fired again and again just for the sake of the magic and amazement and fun that they ruthlessly sucked out of this show. My pictures are a bit misleading. I'm showing a lot of dolphins. Consider them to be like the 30 second previews for a horrible comedy movie that only has 30 seconds of funny, that's all you're going to see of dolphins. read more

One of the best shows I have seen in a while. Everything from the dolphins to the acrobats to the staff. Top class. The music is absolutely spot on. Make sure to note the show timings and the weather conditions. Most water based shows get delayed or cancelled in tricky weather. We were lucky to enjoy this super fantastic show without any interruptions due to Mother Nature. I especially loved the sequence where one of the performers rides on the nose of the dolphin. So special. The 5 or 6 dolphins jumping in and out of water in unison was spellbinding. The acrobats jumping into the water and then suspended back up to the heights - a little cirque de soleiel. The time goes by in flashes and before you know, the show is over. So one piece of advice I would absolutely emphasize on would be - don't waste time taking too many pictures or video recordings. The show is simply spectacular. I did take a few pictures but I am so going back again tomorrow to this show again to enjoy it without any self created distractions. Even the parrots that fly around the stadium are such a joy to watch. If you are at the Seaworld - don't miss this show for anything. read more

This show is spectacular ! The trainers are well in tuned with the dolphins , so cute . The show is not interactive with the audirnce which is something I would suggest . The do fly parrots over the audience , great touch . They usually have acrobats but this one particular time they did not perform , bummer . A must see when visiting SeaWorld ! read more

I was surprised by this show! Overall, really cheesy, forced backstory and dancing, but the dolphins were beautiful and the tricks they did were great (flips, having actors ride them in the water). Come 10 minutes early, and do note the splash zone seats. This is a short show and will consist of other animals, but I didn't expect it to be solely a dolphin show. read more

The dolphins were beautiful...graceful...and all the things you would expect...but... BETTER... The trainers did a wonderful job and it was nice to see them in the water with the dolphins!! The show has other things such as high divers...water acrobatics....and birds performing with dolphins...how cool is that!loved it! i will defiantly go back to seaworld just to watch this show one more time! read more

It has the dolphins doing their many tricks along with their trainers getting in with them in the water. The acrobatics were like a Cirque de Soleil show but in water. Misleading name. There's practically no dolphins involved, which I'm actually happy about. This show is just acrobats flipping and doing some random crap. My favorite thing in Orlando.... hands down. I love this show. To me this show is pure emotion. I have seen this show a few hundred times and I get emotional at the finale every time! This show features amazing Atlantic Bottle Nose Dolphins and Short Finned Pilot whales. Along with parrots, finches and a stork. The show features two act breaks with divers, bungee jumpers and an acrobat. Just open your heart and embrace the emotion. It is just so amazing. You will want to buy the music after you watch this!!
