The place seems to be OK but the helpers seems to be on the wrong job. They are not happy of what they are doing, just doing the motion, or just simply don't care. The first time we were here we sat for 10 minutes, only to be told that they don't have their congee ready for another hour. Why not ask what we want if they know one of their main offerings are not ready in the first place. We left and proceeded to "Onoy" instead.
We went back because my sis told me their congee is different from what I used to had. So, back here for another chance if their congee is worth it, I ordered it with tofu and pork. What a disappointment it was, the congee tastes just salty and nothing else. The rice in the congee is not ready, it seems like it was just boiled for 30 minutes, the rice is not "putok" yet but just to start the business they are serving them already. Usually congee places have their employees wake up early so that they can prepare their "lugaw" and have them ready when they open. It seems like nobody wants to wake up that early. What is more irritating is that the tofu ("tokwa") was served when I was already almost done with my congee. You can hear what seems to be the owner telling the cook, "Sus!, Ano ba ba, ubos na ang lugaw wala pa ang tokwa." To top it of, we were the only table of customers that morning. read more
