I looked down at my gas tank status on my car's dashboard. I had an eighth of gas left. Luckily, I found this Petro-Canada across from the restaurant where I was to meet my friend and decided to fill my car up. The gas price was the same as my usual Petro-Canada station in the Beaches, which is slightly cheaper than the GTA on the whole. The downside is that there are cement medians at this intersection. I needed to turn left into the gas station, but you either have to do it in a roundabout way or do a u-turn at the intersection. I chose the latter and managed to ultimately hang a right into the gas station. I am rating this gas station higher because it has a Starbucks. The last time I dropped by such a setup was in Ottawa a couple of years ago. It was close to the hotel that I was staying at. It is such a perfect combination. You can either go inside the convenience store to get your Starbucks fix or use the drive-thru that was doing steady business when I was there. I pulled up to a gas pump and paid there. My Petro-Points card, 407 ETR discount card, and credit card all got swiped. Done! There was paper towel that I used to touch the pump. The pump has a lever that you can use to have the gas flow automatically into your tank without squeezing it to death. This station is nicely maintained. I did not drop by the convenience store. I'll need to do that and perhaps Starbucks next time. I had an enjoyable experience. If I do need to get gas around this area again, I'd happy return. (127)

Everything was grouped together really well. All of the kitchen, general household, and bathroom cleaning supplies were all in one big aisle along the right wall. They always seemed to have a few options for each item even things like disposal vinyl gloves, toilet bowl scrubbers, and mop systems. I was happy to see that they carry a limited selection of Scrub Daddy products. These were $4 each which is a little cheaper than what other stores are charging. When I went to checkout, the cashier was very pleasant. I was in and out of there within 5 minutes. Parking is easy in the plaza and it's actually very close to the 403 on ramp, so the whole trip was very quick.

I said to him " I thought you might like to know some employees are talking loudly about how much they hate their jobs in front of customers" This person replied with " I talk about how much I hate this job all the time HAHAHAHA" I have only ever seen very few employees with any kind of class working in a Dollarama. She said that she was running a bit late, so it was going to be 2:45 pm. I was good with the later time. The eatery that we had chosen is in the same plaza as this Fortinos. My eyes lit up when I feasted them on this store. It looked amazing from afar. I needed to get some groceries, so I decided to spend some time here before meeting up with my friend. I haven't been to a Fortinos in ages. Markham had one eons ago. Richmond Hill is my closest one these days. I haven't been there, either. I should go more often! I parked in a lot that felt like a lower level. I wasn't imagining things. This Fortinos has an elevator with parking available downstairs, too. Staff members were counting how many people were entering and exiting the store. I grabbed a cart and walked in. I was mesmerized by everything that I saw. I'm sure that if you looked at me, my eyes were wide open with excitement. There were huge meatballs and arancini balls at one stand. You could get a stir fry with noodles at another stand. The pizza slices looked so good! I completely stopped in front of the bakery. The most beautiful artisan breads were staring at me. It was carb love at first sight. Fortinos has never been a discount supermarket. However, the variety and quality are superb. I don't mind shelling out for fancy salad dressing, vine tomatoes, and sugar-free, lactose-free ice cream. I managed to get a package of ice cream sandwiches that were both sugar-free and lactose-free. It was heaven. I felt like I normal human being eating them! I love the beer section. I got a can of low-carb beer from Belgian Moon. Who knew? Staff were so friendly. One of them guided me to an open cashier. The woman was great cashing me out. I had an excellent shopping experience here. I would have spent hours at this store. Thank goodness I had to meet up with my friend. Otherwise, I would have been broke by now. Oakville is lucky to have such an amazing grocery store. I'd return when I'm back here again. (135)

I like that you have the option of getting a lot of pre cut produce and also things like half a melon since I usually can't finish the entire one. I was there about a week before Christmas and a lot of the seasonal stuff was already on sale. They had one fresh cut Christmas tree that was in perfect shape and $20 off its original price of $60. Some other things like hot chocolate and the gift loafs were also on sale. There is a self checkout area that makes grabbing a few things really convenient. If you have a Longo's membership, you scan your card after you've selected to pay.
