As soon as you walk in you realize this isn't your average thrift store. The store is well laid out, organized and has that fantastic smell of used gear (but in a good way); it all brings back good memories of the past. They have a good assortment of records (yes vinyl is making a comeback). And they are dirt cheap; mostly costing less than a buck! I picked up two records and it cost me a toonie. How great is that!! The store shelves are organized in a great way, great friendly and inviting owners, wonderful jazz music was playing in the background, housewares, books, clothing, toys, electronics and even furniture were available to snap up. Be careful, walk into Junk in the Trunk and you'll be walking into a time-warp that you may not want to leave.

They are ice skates that have been customized and turned into roller skates. In great condition and were fairly priced. I've only ever seen leather white or black vintage skates but these are suede and red! I've been looking for a pair for months and this is the first pair I have ever found and I lucked out by them being my size! I've already took them out for a spin and they're perfect, just need to switch the indoor wheels for outdoor wheels and I'm all set! They had a wide variety of booths with everything you could ever imagine including a booth full of video games and my personal favourite Pyrex! Definitely worth the drive from Calgary and will be stopping here more in the future! The staff was super friendly and kind!

I admitted I had tried on the dress that had a sales tag on it and she told me that I wasn't allowed. I told her there was no sign saying otherwise. She was grimacing at me and shaking in place saying that I broke a cheap replaceable claw clip that was used as its 'hanger' . Lots of sarcasm and domineering attitude from this very young woman, saying "of course, just assume everything!" In a high pitched tone. if you want a fun experience, this is the opposite of the place you want to go. Terrible service, lackluster and dirty clothing available, store cleanliness in general is allergenic and dust filled. Dont waste your time.

I want to speak of my experience with Taffeta and Tulle in Airdrie…read more Communication...no follow ups, no mock up as promised .....no deliverance of product and services. Imagine paying $3800 10 months ago and promised X Y Z....having my maid of honour fly from Toronto for this experience. 6 weeks before your wedding you are told there is no dress. She wasn't able to tell me where my dress was, when it was sent to manufacture, no tracking on my gown. She could not tell me who was answering my text messages her or the assistant, the first of June when I kept messaging to inquire. That is what I experienced when I have tried in vain since February to get my mock up and dress in time for Aug 4th. No communication, no returned emails, no returned phone calls, no reassurance that the dream 1930's inspired wedding dress to go with our 1930's inspired wedding. No remorse from the owner...zero empathy. Good luck getting a refund....she had no intentions of providing the refund. She has no issues blaming all ongoing problems she has suffered on her assistant who no longer works there & personal issues she is suffering from. My fiancé and I had to literally chase her....source her private phone.....and force a refund from her via EMT as she never processed the one to our credit card. (Which she claimed to do infront of us) We were sent a portion one day via EMT and still had go back and source the rest the refund. Calling her - to get a response for the rest on our money. We then had to purchase another dress equivalent to the cost of the 1st dress, and pay in full for an off the rack dress. I am still upset as the new dress is not my custom made gown I dreamed of. We are 4 weeks from our wedding and she could not put herself in our shoes...it was all about her. I don't love the dress I had to purchase, I feel my experience is now jaded and I don't feel the same about the dress I had to buy. I asked her for a vial of humalog (my normal insulin), and she denied my request because I didn't have a prescription with me or my health care card... INSULIN IS SUPPOSED TO BE PROVIDED OVER THE COUNTER, WITH OR WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION/HEALTHCARE/INSURANCE (at full cost, which I was prepared to pay), AS IT CAN BE A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION TO NOT HAVE... Luckily, I was able to make it to the Airdrie Walmart pharmacy in time, before they closed, where they were quick to provide me with what I needed with no questions asked.
