I honestly got the best souvenirs from this place compared to a typical souvenir shop. Kendall was awesome and very friendly. I wish this place was closer to me so I could stop by more often. I was in the area having lunch when I came across Junk in the Trunk, thrift store in Ogden. I…read morealways love walking into thrift stores and seeing what people have discarded, only to be rediscovered by someone else. As soon as you walk in you realize this isn't your average thrift store. The store is well laid out, organized and has that fantastic smell of used gear (but in a good way); it all brings back good memories of the past. They have a good assortment of records (yes vinyl is making a comeback). And they are dirt cheap; mostly costing less than a buck! I picked up two records and it cost me a toonie. How great is that!! The store shelves are organized in a great way, great friendly and inviting owners, wonderful jazz music was playing in the background, housewares, books, clothing, toys, electronics and even furniture were available to snap up. Be careful, walk into Junk in the Trunk and you'll be walking into a time-warp that you may not want to leave.

I finally decided to go inside because I really needed a pair of sandals for our trip to Mexico, and I was having trouble finding exactly what I wanted. I ended up leaving the shop with the perfect sandals but also a cute dress that matched. I mean, I couldn't help myself! All of the clothing is in great shape and smells clean. The prices are also very reasonable. I have a bad habit of always going to the mall or the outlets when I want to shop for clothes, and this entire time, there has been a great alternative right under my nose. Shopping consignment/used helps our environment, so spend away at this cute little consignment shop!

They had a good selection of jewellery, some pieces were really nice. I found a simple salt water pearl necklace for $19. There were some pashmina scarves in a corner of the store, for $29. I found some cute purple shoes for $25, I thought that was a bit much since they were a bit roughed up. It was hard to see the shoes because they were under the full clothing racks. I looked though the clothing and found that most of it was aimed toward older women. There were some nice belts, Micheal Kors for $30. Overall the prices were not that cheap, though most of the clothing seemed to be name brands. They only accept consignment by appointment, starting on specific dates for seasonal wear. You get 40% of the sale price. I would probably return to check out ClothesHorse again, but I wouldn't hurry back due to the prices.

Got a Marant top, and a brand I'd never heard of, but they had a huge selection of stuff and I wish I'd had a little more time. Things were neatly organized by color and then by style- for example tops started sleeveless, graduating to short sleeves, then long sleeves. But all sizes mixed in- but that's part of the digging fun. Staff was so lovely and helpful, quick to offer a dressing room start seconds after I started carrying something. Also exciting that they have color coded tags. I felt like Charlie looking for that golden Wonka ticket, and was thrilled that my most expensive item was 50% off. Total score. Left there buzzing from the variety of prints, brands, and fabrics. If I were a local, this place would be in regular rotation.
