It's one of those shops I'm glad isn't close to my house or I'd be over there wayyy too often adding various colorful furniture, knick-knacks, and bric-a-brac to my stale beige apartment. The shop features two rooms devoted to all things imports. The first room is mainly small items, from jewelry and candles to clothing and other decor items. If you're looking for a gift for that hard-to-shop-for friend, this is the place. The second room is full of seriously gorgeous furniture and larger household decor items. Dressers, chairs, beds, dining sets, tapestries, lamps, rugs...it's all in here and it's all just begging you to dig out the ol' credit card and re-dec your place to look like you just returned from a six month excursion through Southeast Asia. The staff are super helpful, too. I was looking for a wall tapestry for my daughter (who is trying desperately to add a boho vibe to her bedroom). The store employee showed me the different sized tapestries and helped me pick one that most suited my kid's vibe. She said if my daughter didn't like it I was welcome to come back and exchange it for a different one. (Luckily, she liked it!) Someday when I win the Mega Millions I'm going to head to Wander and buy one-of-everything.

But then newcomer Spirits Free arrived, and although at first it seemed the store had an identity crisis, leaving the sign blank with no name for months, the character of the shop, now aptly named 'Wander', really took an independent form. The space was brightened up considerably and filled with affordable merchandise from around the globe. Add nice music and an uncluttered layout and voila! You have an inviting, warm place to buy lovely things for yourself or gifts for friends. The merchandise includes home decor and objects of self adornment. From tribal style to Yoga style, there's something for everyone and every season. You can't just pass by, you have to wander in :)

What can I say, I like being stylish :) and supporting local artists. Adhesif has a very distinctive style that I appreciate both on an aesthetic and on a good-for-the-environment level, as all of the pieces are made out of other items of clothing. You might also find some cute buttons/broaches and hair pieces here. The prices are for handmade, so they may be higher than you're going to find elsewhere, but you can also wait for "Nifty for Fifty" which is a sale that the owner hosts every spring. It features lots of independent designers, including Adhesif, and everything is under $50. The only downside to this store is that it's very specific. Luckily, Forysa is next door so you can get in more shopping and browsing than if you were to make a trip specifically for Adhesif.

Then I found Adhesif Clothing and Melissa and my wardrobe and views of fashion and fear of colour have completely changed - and only for the best. Melissa - the owner - has an amazing eye for style and brings unique and colourful pieces of fabrics together - mostly from salvaged, vintage clothing that she has creatively reworked into awesome, colourful and one of a kind pieces. Her enthusiasm and willingness to share her knowledge of fashion and style and her brilliant pieces have transformed my once boring wardrobe into one that is exciting and vibrant. Even my husband comments on my new-found style and each morning my mother must see what 'Adhesif' piece I may be wearing. She says I have such beautiful clothes and I agree. I am thrilled with every 'Adhesif' piece I own! I find that I rarely leave the house without at least one 'Adhesif' item. Each of the pieces I have collected builds on the other and the colour palette and style allows me to mix and match items to help create a selection for all occasions. See, I've learned so much. I'm just an ordinary person who has extraordinary taste thanks to Melissa. Except for the basics - it's a one-stop-shop for me. I am constantly getting stopped and complimented on my outfits - thriii-llinggg. :) Melissa, thanks for the education and my amazing wardrobe.

She called over several employees and security to count my items because I scanned my cat litter with the hand scanner. She harassed me and embarassed me the last time I came here too, the exact same lady for the same issue. I spend $300/week at this location, tons of other places would treat you better as a regular customer in this competitive economy, I'll never be shopping at Walmart again. Superstore just gained a customer!

I put my dollar loonie coin token in the slot and the darn key lock wouldn't come out. Luckily it worked on the other cart beside it. They made a huge change in the checkout area where they converted a large portion of the regular registers into a huge self checkout area. Kinda disappointed at this change since i almost never use self checkout. Granted, it was a little late at 9:30pm, but there were no full serve regular registers available at the time. (only if you pay in actual cash, which i didnt have.) The staff person was nice and rung up my items for me after i requested help. Avoid Wal-mart's homemade pastries! Their cherry turnovers were improperly baked making them super hard to bite into. The amount of cherry filling inside was also lacking. I felt i wasted $6. As i was making my way to the parking lot with my items, i got a unpleasant surprise because there was that fight broke out between the security gaurd and some brazen shoplifters. The shoplifters ran into the wrong store door so it didnt open but they still managed to force themselves out eventually. The security guard tried to grab their stolen goods in a epic tug-of-war match and ultimately lost. The shoplifters got away! Kudos to the security gaurd for trying to stop them. It was a 4 vs. 1 tug of war so he was outnumbered. Also kudos for him vigilantly shooing away people that didn't wear a face mask, which was required, during covid19 . On the plus side, I found a good $2 off deal on shampoo. But best of all, I got a great deal on Purex toilet paper, and there were still plenty left. Got a few packs to use during the second pandemic wave. And yes, you can buy more than one! Score! Overall not bad...3/5.
