Service is difficult to receive during the holiday season in all of the Dollar Trees yet it is expected. This Dollar Tree is exceptional in that it had all the Ioni Veil of Allure & Day Dreamin products I was looking for, and it was easy to find. The store was neatly organized. The lines were long for all the cash registers yet I was just happy to get all the products I wanted in the store. I also purchased the Glass Skin Glow Collection products for some experimental skin care. Exceptional Ioni Veil of Allure products: ( $1.25 each ). They were better duplicates of expensive high end luxury brands or more expensive department or drug store brands for a fraction of the price. These products I bought and sampled of Ioni Veil of Allure were impressive: *The Rose Gold Face & Body Illuminator (Better duplicate of the LumiGlow from L'Oréal) * Raspberry Blush Stick (Best Blush) * Cosmo Lip Oil (Best Dollar Tree Lip Oil) *Plumping Gloss Heart Shaped Lip Stick ( unique plumping lip gloss stick with a sheer lip balm like formula ) * Eyeshadow stick (high impact color - a fraction of the price of Lancome & L'Oréal - *chocolate martini liquid lipstick *warm toffee matte lipstick So many cosmetic & skin care items for only $23. OMG this location used to be a dump as most Dollar Trees have become. This one for my last visit..... no boxes blocking the isle, the employees were polite . My only issue is dollar tree is not the one of the past. Check your prices because it's no longer $2.00 or even $1.25. They raised the prices on their party/catering to $2.00 how dare they. I stopped here in hopes of grabbing a few small items and grab myself a drink. Parking was easy and I was able to get into the store without difficulty. Inside was surprisingly big. And to my surprise, it was well stocked and organized. I was truly impressed since that isn't always the case. I browsed a bit, always taking my time going up and down the aisles that are specific to food. I'm always on the lookout for something new that they might carry. I always play it smart in one of these by grabbing a basket instead of a cart. That way I am not loading myself up with items I don't necessarily need. Where the downfall is for this one is the registers. I swear Dollar Tree is the Walmart of dollar stores. They have multiple registers, but only one employee to run them. The is the best Dollar Tree around. It's well stocked in spite of no overnight crew which I hear is about to change. Selections I don't find in any other store. Manager Eric and his assistants actually work and know what they are doing. It's not their fault parents bring unruly kids in and let them loose. Those associates are not babysitters! read more

You'll always know how much something costs at a Dollar Tree. The staff are nice here. They have great cleaning items, snacks, greeting cards and containers. You can frequently find brand items, especially in the food rows. Dollar Tree stores take manufacturer coupons, so sometimes you can actually get items for free. read more

This location of Dollar Tree is not too bad, especially being in the very busy Potomac Mills area. Selection is good and the place is kept very clean. Store is also well designed, with good signage that will help you find what you need quickly. The only problem I have experienced with this store is the lack of open checkout lanes during busy periods. BTW - This store tend to get really busy during the holidays and major celebrations like Halloween and Valentines Day, because it is a cheap place for buying decorations. Generally I would be writing to say that I wish they had more staff, the lines can get pretty tiresome. However, overall the people that they do have are wonderful. They somehow have managed to keep competent, friendly people working there. I have been able to find items here that would cost me 2-12 times as much elsewhere and stock up on some items whenever I can (you never really know what they will have). Again, it's a dollar store so the bar isn't real high, but they do a better job than many. read more

Manager "Shelly"Closed the doors at 9:45 and wouldn't allow anybody else in the store . She said she had the max capacity .. she turned away about 5 people .. there were only 2 people in the store .. my mother being one of them. She closed the door on a customer and said she wasn't trying to be there all night because she'd been there since 4pm. My first visit EVER to any of these stores. The cashier on 9/28/16, Pennee (I believe), spent several minutes between EACH customer checking her cell phone and complaining about having to work two jobs, blah, blah, blah. We ALL could have gotten out of the store 10 minutes earlier if she stopped checking her phone and shut her mouth. If I want whining, I'll call my family. They're experts at it! It also took 5 people in line before a 2nd register was open. It was my first visit ever to this store, I had to walk around to find someone to help. When I did find 4 people working there, or at least with name tags, they were talking and checking their phone. I was made to feel like I was interrupting them for asking for directions. There was boxes ALL OVER the place, had to navigate the aisles like walking through my grandson's bedroom with toys all over the place. I've never seen so many employees on their phones WHILE working! I didn't know you can be PAID to be on the CELL PHONE! Especially when customers are asking for help. It took a fellow customer to tell me why there weren't any prices on the shelves. I thought it was like Dollar General, where everything is generally a buck. Nice surprise, but there were nothing on the shelves. I wasn't sure what some of the products were. But then I guess I'm used to reading when I shop. It took some getting used to. The shopping carts really needed to be cleaned, thank goodness I only wanted a few items. If I had to shop here often, I wouldn't want that yuckyness touching my food. For example, why pay 79 cents for a 15 oz. can of green beans at a dollar store, when you can purchase the same item at the grocery store for 68 cents? On the other hand, a quart of boxed milk goes for a buck at Dollar Tree, but the grocery store price for the same item is almost three dollars! Here is one last word of advice. Treat any dollar store visit like the weekly shopping for groceries. They have mice!!!!! Last time I was in there mice were running around everywhere! I noticed immediately and ran to a cashier, but she just tiredly told me they'd had a bad mice problem for a while now. This place sells snacks and children's toys! The Dollar Tree store at Potomac Mills is great. The store is well stocked. I'm not if it is the manager I see but he is very helpful. And if you can't find something, walmart is right across the street. I don't buy food out there...and actually sometimes walmart is cheaper. I went into this store this morning ... at check out the cashier was so rude. Her tag said g.e.t on it ... I ask for things to be bagged a surtway and told I know how to bag. Very rudely. . The man behind me told her he was paying with debit and she said I don't care how your paying just pay.... very disappointed this how your staff treats people. It's not everyday I walk into a dollar store. It's usually because I have some extra time on my hands or I'm just curious at what's inside. This isn't my first time in this dollar store. I have been to it before years ago. I do have to say it has not changed! It still provides cool products all for a dollar. Things like Knock off Tervis Cups, Candy, School Supplies, those Cups you can put fruit in, household goods, and much more! The isles are ok in terms of organization and product placement. The employees seem depressed, but helpful. I have to take a star away for the sad fact that this place is basically standing with four walls, an uneven floor, and some sort of covering, leaky roof. The reason I do give it four stars is because -- hey! -- it's a Dollar Store! It serves it's purpose as that and you get what you pay for! If you consider yourself high end or germaphobic, this is not the place for you! This is the first time I went into this location in about 2 years. I just had to grab some toothpaste and Halloween supplies and even had a friend come to visit to inform them they have everything you need. Once I go to check out it was three lanes open so I just choose the closest one to the door because I was not trying to buy more than what I needed. So as I go to put my things down one cashier says go to the other register because she was in training but I was confused because you do not turn customers away. So her manager I assume was trying to help her with a transaction while I was just waiting for at least 10 minutes. I just know that I will just stick to my regular location for now on. read more

Never had any issues until yesterday when I went to the store because I needed a few things and I was in the area running errands. I grabbed what I needed and walked to the checkout. Only one register was open at that time and a lady was in front of me waiting for assistance for her husband to pick out balloons and they were going back and forth about what balloons the wife would like to get. I said "Excuse me ma'am, would you mind if I can check out real quick?" Mind you, I only had about 6 items. She turned around saying "Huh?" So I repeated myself and she said "No I'm waiting for my husband" Well, as I mentioned, she was being picky about what balloons to get and should have picked it herself BEFORE approaching the register and hold up the line for 10 minutes. While they were going back and forth, the lady at the register could have checked out me and probably two other people. There were like 5 people waiting in line. I felt so bad for the husband. Right before the lady in front of me was done, they opened another register and the lady behind me was kind enough to offer me to go to the other register but I had already put my items down. So I was next in line and the lady at the register, her name is Donna, was so rude and gave me an attitude the whole time.
