Basically was ignored my entire time here. I understand the desire to pre-close and get your shift over with but there was a lack of human decency because I was not even acknowledged by the two women who were working the night shift. Just sad honestly and I don't usually leave reviews but this really rubbed me the wrong way. They both had AirPods in and said not a single word to me which is wildly disrespectful. Tell me why i tried so hard when "Viki" was absolutely rude!! The most unhappiest human I've encountered today. I'm sorry I didn't have smaller bills and you had to break my $20! It's the holidays!! This location always has plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall. The place is kept clean and well maintained. They offer a nice variety of items including seasonal merchandise. Customer service is mediocre. Like other Dollar Tree locations, they are super understaffed. Whenever I come here, there is only 1 check out line open, causing long wait times. I understand it is not the employees' fault; management needs to work on opening up at least 1 more check out station to decrease wait times and lines. read more

I was checking out, buying a couple of birthday cards and saw that they were selling gift cards to other stores. I asked the cashier, Nancy, if they are able to provide a gift receipt and if there are any additional charges. She said yes to the gift receipt and no to the charges. So I paid for a $50 gift card and she handed me my sales receipt. Upon asking for the gift receipt, she tells me the sales receipt she gave me is the gift receipt. I told her that's not going to work for me and she can just process a return. She refused and said no manager in store until morning. I told her that was unacceptable and she told me she'd call the police if I gave e her any issues. Poor customer service. Bad attitude. Lack of knowledge. Overall a huge thumbs down. There are other similar stores with much better customer service. They have lost my business forever. Nancy needs better training. read more

Great concept, but stolen. True, 99 cents store has so much better prices (hehee), but how can you go wrong with cheap cheap and more cheap items? Great for greeting cards (all $1), gift wrap, holiday items, and off-brand/inferior cleaning supplies. All else...crappy cookies and candy, frozen items, etc. Wrong location, too. I mean c'mon, this doesn't belong in snooty Westlake Village. The store is fairly new, but it feels old...and smelly. Has a place for me, but rarely. read more

The old Caucasian man who works at night is racist af. I came in, an educated Asian man, living in agoura hills, to buy: packing tape one time, wrapping paper another time, and some greeting cards the most recent time and I always have to deal with this guy. I always greet him politely and he stays entirely silent through the whole transaction. I stood at the door and waited to see how he was doing to deal with the people behind me and he was entirely a different person. The lady behind me happened to be white. He was chipper and friendly. I had the worst experience at this store. Nancy was the cashier that night, she thought she could double charge me for an item because I was distracted with my small children. When I came back in to bring it to her attention she was very disrespectful and said " you were distracted, i told you I was ringing it up twice" Regardless of being distracted, doesn't give anyone the right to rip me off. Shopped at this Dollar Tree on a weekend evening. This is best organized and cleanest Dollar Tree I have seen. The aisles are wide, the selection is great, and the employees are helpful. There are some great deals here. The only downside is the store was nearly out of all balloons when I visited. read more

Store is spacious, however, seems to be understaffed. Long lines at checkout. The yarn bin has been practically empty for the last 3 months. Although this is a nicer location and space, the Thousand Oaks store seems better managed. Indeed has a position listed for store manager here and the pay is less than $40k annually. First, everything is $1 which really sets it apart from the other dollar, .99 cent stores that say art at that price and go up. Clean place to buy cheap stuff. Basic but generally decent household supplies. I like the 10 pack of disposable razors, and use a fresh one each week. Some of the foods, drinks and candies are name brand. read more

I wasn't able to get the employees name but whoever the lady that worked Saturday night on 2-11-23 was extremely rude. She had dark hair and was the only employee on shift tonight. She told me I wasn't able to exchange 3 items I had previously purchased from them because I didn't have the receipt. I told her that I am able to do that if the tags and stickers are still on the items. I've done it before with them and it is on their website. She didn't care about what I was telling her and was blowing me off with a very rude attitude and demeanor. I dont recommend this dollar tree. read more

Why even have multiple cashier stands, when you only ever have 1 open? There are 20 people in line and not only can't you open another cashier but have to do a money count? Seriously. I went to this location while passing through about a month ago with my 14 year old daughter. There was an adult gentleman working that made my daughter feel uncomfortable. My daughter and I were located in different aisles and she sped to me to let me know one of the workers couldn't stop looking at her and smiled without saying anything while he looked "up and down". As I looked up the gentleman walked into the aisle, stared at my daughter then turned around when he noticed me giving a snarky face and pulled my teenager towards me. My kid was creeped out and we walked out briskly. I was going to complain to a manager but no one was located in front of the store so we just left. One thing to note is while a lot of teenagers my daughter's age might look more mature, that is not the case for mine. I didn't get the guys name but he was a taller, slender male likely of Hispanic decent. I would call or do something more concrete than a yelp review but there isn't much here for local authorities or even corporate. I am also a single mom and would like not to be in harms way. Thankfully we don't live there and can choose not to visit this store- I just had to say something in case someone else experienced something similar that can provide something more concrete. read more

Obviously there are great prices. No doubt about that. The problem is the service. These people take so long to check out customers. It should be a quick swipe through the scanner. I feel like I'm watching a slowed down video when I am checking out at the dollar tree. The employee is looking about 25. If they looked older 75, I could under stand the lack of speed. These kids should be thriving. Not taking 40 seconds to swipe each item. This store truly is a disaster! It's been open for awhile now and I thought by now they would have their act together, but no, aisles are strewn with opened and closed boxes that look like they have inventory to be put on shelves. The shelves are a disaster, there are never enough cash registers open, nor enough carts. Many times they are out of gas for the Mylar balloons. It's a mess and has been that way since it opened! Looks like they don't have enough help or good management! Get your act together Dollar Tree, the store on MOORPARK is so much better run. read more
