This is normally a harrowing experience. With the possible exception of the food section, most Dollar Generals I've been to look like a tornado went through the store with a vengeance. Not so with this branch. I was shocked by two things: First the aisles were wide, easily accommodating two people side by side. Second, the aisles were well organized and *neat*. It was actually a bit disconcerting, as if the natural order of Dollar General itself had been disrupted. The store had customers, but it wasn't particularly crowded so check out was quick and easy. In addition to being in a nice town, this is a great example that other Dollar Generals should aspire to be.

They have huge sections of clothes (women/men/children), shoes, housewares, small appliances, media (video/music/books), toys, games, and even a small section with furniture. The prices are MUCH better than what I had recently seen at a different store. They do have a parking lot, which gets fairly busy, but I've always found a space. To drop off items for donation, you can just bring you car to the front of the shop, and there are large plastic bins where you can place your items. There is usually an employee there who can advise you, and can also give you a slip to fill out for tax deductions. Tip - If you do drop off items for donation, they have been giving out coupons you can use in the store too. We were able to get an additional 20% off this way!

Many Dollar Trees that I go to do this which is pretty annoying, but some Dollar Tree stores that are apparently run better than this one, the manager will open up another at least to cut down the line, usually after there is a build up of at least 5+ people. Did that happen here? NO. What is wrong with the people here? There were 3 Dollar Tree staff that I saw working but only one on register, but the line...There were at least 10 people behind me and about 4 ahead of me each person with several items. Looking up and seeing a single line filed down into one of the aisles of a store is unacceptable. No apology or acknowledgement how long it was taking. It really annoyed me because I only had one thing, that I really needed. I could've spoke up but I know I only would've got a response that would frustrate me more. I've only been to this Dollar Tree once, but I can say it's probably the lousiest, laziest one in terms of customer service and experience I've seen and we know Dollar Tree stores aren't exactly the place to come for a happy shopping experience but this visit was just bad. I generally like Dollar Tree, but this one is not one I'll not willingly visit which is sad because it's pretty convenient. Skip this Dollar Tree in favor of the next closest one.

I paid $5.00 and was supposed to receive $2.17 in change, but I received only $2.15. Customers should not have to search around the store for a small or poorly visible notice to find out that their cash change may be rounded. If a policy affects the amount of money a customer receives back, it should be clearly communicated before the transaction. The cashier also showed very little enthusiasm or willingness to address my concern, which made the experience even more frustrating. This feels like a management and customer-service issue. Better communication, clearer signage, and more attentive customer service are needed. I hope management addresses this policy and how it is communicated to customers.

The first time I was here was when I was a toddler in the 90s, and now I'm old enough to see what they have, and yes I've been here a few times. This store has a huge clothing section, and limited selections of pajamas, slippers, undergarments, luggage, bath towels, table cloths, kitchen supplies, and shower curtains. Most of the areas were very organized, but the kitchen supply area was a little messy. But then again, I don't come here for that. So what do I come here for? It depends, but usually it's for pajamas, table cloths, and shower curtains. But I don't get all of them in one visit. Sure, I can get those anywhere, but why here? REALLY LOW PRICES. Other stores would charge higher for these items, including Wal*Mart, but because these are closeouts, you won't expect to spend A LOT on just one item. Regardless of brands and low pricing, I've never had a major issue with anything that I got here. Keep in mind that because this is a closeout store, what they have on the shelves and racks is all they've got. During my recent visit, I needed to see if they had any short-sleeved pajamas as mine were getting close to being worn out. But all I saw were the winter ones, and when I asked to see if they had any, they politely told me that what they receive and stock is all they've got. I was disappointed, but I understood. Maybe they'll have it next time or something. But I didn't walk out empty-handed though. I was able to get a new table cloth at a cool price since my old one was just way too out-dated. Customer service is always fine. Overall it's a really fine store. I will always stop here whenever I'm in the area, particularly when I'm coming back from Ikea or Jersey Gardens Mall via US 1 & 9.

The customer did not even defend themself and was not even allowed to as the manager and others around the store joined in holding the customer down allowing the assault to continue. After they were separated, the manager and assistant manager continued to taunt the customer, even twerking and cursing at the customer. Then proceeds to lie and spin the entire story of the event which was caught on camera. She even Lied to the police once they showed up.

The main floor is women's clothing and shoes, the floor below is children's and men's clothing. I was especially struck by the shoe section at this location as I found a pair of Sam Edelman boots and a bunch of Uggs! This location has a handful of dressing rooms which is helpful when thrifting. Again, like the other locations, prices are higher here than Goodwill type thrift stores, but I think it's worth it because the merchandise is trendy and in nice condition! Definitely worth stopping in!

My criticism of this store and all similar are the lines. There often is only one person, sometimes 2 handling a huge line so as you've stocked up on your $5 goods you now have to wait to be checked out unecessarily. Another annoying thing is they always ask for your zip code. No doubt for information of what area shops their store, it's annoying though.
