As Dollar Trees go, this one has the kindest employees, especially their employee named Lorna. She is always helpful and personable. I bought 22 picture frames at a different Dollar Tree location. Upon removing the plastic wrapping of the picture frames, I noticed that three of the frames were really scratched or cracked. I asked Lorna, at the Torrance location on Knox if I can exchange them. Without question, she got the manager and exchanged them for me right away. As a teacher, I constantly purchase things at Dollar Tree for my students, things to use in the classroom, or for my students to make things for parent gifts. I was saddened that the prices of things went up, which makes it very difficult for teachers to buy in bulk. Final review for year 2025! You never see something so often you become so blind to it? I think this happened to me when it came to this place. I've even dined at one of the eateries here and went to another Dollar Tree after not realizing this one has been here all along. But typical of all other Dollar Trees. This one was a bit crowded (with peeps picking up supplies for NYE) but staff handled it well. The whole place still looked pretty clean without a lot of clutter. The cashier was in really need of help from a coworker. Cashier called for backup as the store line was getting really long. Only one register was open. No other help from anyone else. Cashier stated that the other workers there never work or help. It took a while for the other worker to come out from the back to help and by the time she came out, all she said in an irritated voice was "the line isn't even that long, did you still need me to help?" She immediately turned around and left to the back of the store not helping. It took her so long to come out that by the time she got there she missed the long line. When she left, now the line was getting longer again. I told the cashier that was terrible of her coworker to leave her working alone. I was told that during the holidays that same worker left the cashier alone to work one line when it was extremely busy. I asked the cashier if that was manager and the cashier said yes. The lazy worker that left the cashier alone was the manager?! Her name is Jocelyn. I felt bad for the cashier that had to work by alone when the team lead is supposed to be supporting colleagues. The cashier was confiding in the customers almost as if begging for help. The cashier said they do nothing but just hang out in the back. My suggestion is proper training and removing the useless supervisor. It was embarrassing to see the supervisor leave the worker helpless in front of everybody standing in line listening. I felt bad because the cashier was confiding in me at the line but I think was afraid to say anything to the manager. I told the cashier not to worry and to take their time that it's not their fault. She was calling for back up multiple times calling for the manager and and no one ever bothered to come and assist her I felt really bad for her. Josie who claimed to be the manager & Lorna needs to be fired! I visited the store today the store opening time was 9am. I was there a bit early so I sat in my car and watched the manager Josie leave the store. She didn't return until 9:15am to open the store laughing. 10+ customers outside waiting for her to open. I expressed to her that it was ver unprofessional and other businesses such as Walmart or Target wouldn't open their doors 15 minutes late. I asked for a customer complaint number, because it made no sense to leave a complaint with the person that opened the store late and she told me she don't have a number and to google it with her smirk on her face. I then asked can I have a number on her boss. She replied and said she was the boss. I expressed to her it's always a chain on command and I know that it's someone over her. She was very dismissive. Called me several b*tches. Then her older coworker Lorna joined in and said that she don't have to answer any of my questions and to just leave me standing there. This location is pretty big with plenty of parking! I recommend that if you go here, do not enter the parking lot from 190th street because you'll be forced to drive through the shuffle that is Walmart parking. Take Normandie or Harborgate Way to Knox and enter from Knox. Last time we were here, my sister and I came on a mission to buy pipe cleaners and reinforcement labels (for something we saw on Pinterest) and even though we didn't find the right size for pipe cleaners (they have it at the Redondo location), they had the reinforcement labels! We also scored some much needed coffee filters. We also walked up in down each aisle and every 5 minutes we would say "Oh, it's good to know they have this here!" Like floral tape and smalls bins for organizing. They already had their Valentines Day stock so I got my two for $1 Valentine's Day cards for my nephews. I went in for couple things with my husband &child it was busy and 2 registers were opened but one was a guy n he was helpin the customers ahead with balloons! It's a Dollar Tree so not much to review. Just that it is as essential as the Walmart with which it shares the large lot. Don't go expecting to find something specific as stocking here is hit or miss (but it has improved drastically from where it was two years ago, still don't bet of actually finding specifically what you are looking for). My experience with the lines here for checkout has been fine. In fact I feel that it moves faster than the lines in the neighboring Walmart but it would be nice if they opened up additional counters as the line begins to grow and smile at customers once in while :). read more

I can count on this place for daily necessities, such as: cotton balls, dental floss, bubble gum, a phone case, and just about 10 different types of hair brushes. Yes. Those are necessities. Lol I came here today looking for supplies to make candy leis, and I struck gold! Dollar tree has a wide selection of different goodies. Its really hard to just settle on a few :/ haha. I always liked Dollar Tree! Even more than the 99 Cent Store. When I still lived in Anaheim, I always went to the one in Buena Park across the street from the Buena Park Mall. Good times! I came here today because 99 Cent Store didn't have any interesting boxes or containers I could use to better organize my makeup. I was about to leave with some decent black basket things in hand when I walked down the party aisle and discovered their beautiful gift boxes. They were adorable! They all came in gorgeous floral patterns and other awesome designs, available in a set of 3 for just $1! It cannot get better than that! Typically, you'd probably pay at least $5-10 for those things. I also got some shredded tissue paper to put on the bottom so the makeup doesn't stain or ruin the boxes either. I'm looking forward to organizing my makeup tomorrow using those boxes! They also have a great selection of vases and other glassware. I bought a glass cup and some shiny pebbles so I can place my cosmetics brushes in. I left the store very happy today, knowing I spent no more than $6 on stuff to make my own makeup organizer... especially after seeing a $25 organizer at Ulta Beauty :\ Too much money for such a thing. They also have tons of jigsaw puzzles as well, and I totally picked up one just to have something to do when I'd like to relax. This location is supposed to close at 10 PM on a Saturday night, but it actually closes when the manager Luz decides to lock the doors. I arrived at 9:53pm, knocked on the door, and the manager cracked it open and asked me how many items I wanted to purchase. I told her I was just here to get some water. She said okay, come on in, and locked the door behind me. I asked her why she was locking the doors before they are closed, and she says it just depends on the location. She got angry with me and did not tell me thank you, have a good night, or anything else. I will never shop at this location again, and they have lost my business. Unbelievable. read more

Went in on a whim then suddenly had an idea for event I was doing this weekend. Asked an associate for assistance and he went above and beyond to help. Found out his name was David and he was the manager. I think he went in the back to check on items at least 5 times with no complaint. Best customer service I have EVER experienced at a Dollar tree. He made sure all my breakable items were securely packed and box taped up! He even carried my boxes to my car. Can you say above and beyond?!! David made this impromptu stop a breath of fresh air! This store has a problem with maintaining neat and well stocked shelves. Things seem to be just put anywhere and most times not in any kind of order unless it's a seasonal item which is always near the front. A real good manager would get this store up and where it needs to be. By the way all the employees that hang out in the back warehouse need to come to the front and get some of the long lines cleared. read more

At approximately 6:00pm cashier Lorean was the only cashier for 12 to 15 guest and because of covid19 I became uncomfortable waiting so long to be rang up for my items I asked Lorean where's her back up she replied he's on a lunch break. Supervisor David admittedly left off his break and yelled to me "leave the store". I told him I'm going no where and he pulled cashier Lorean off the register and told her not to ring up my items. She began to cry and say he's the boss I have to do what he said. David took his phone out and called the police department and stated he wanted them to come and arrest me or make me leave for no reason. David roam the store even attempted to pull Lorean out the store with him while on his cellphone with 911 dispatch. David just made a huge scene and disruptive behavior endangered us all. Covid19 requires proper social distance David had none. More importantly he refused service to myself and several other guest. This was a 15 to 20 minute ordeal brought on by Supervisor David. I love this location. Place is organized and clean compared to the one in Sepulveda close by the 110 fwy. I actually live closer to that Dollar Tree that's by the fwy, but I prefer to make the drive to this Torrance location just because I can get a better selection and the place doesn't give me a headache when I step in the store and do my shopping. I appreciate Cortney who helped me out at checkout. She was very accommodating and patient with me even when I had to use my coupons (when some cashiers frown on customers who use coupons). That kind of customer services makes me feel good about my transaction and overall experience as a shopper. I love this store even more because of that! I love The Dollar Tree as a store, but this one is horrible. The last 3 times that I have been here, they have no shopping carts available and are not apologetic for it at all. I am pregnant and have a toddler so there is no possible way that I can come here without a shopping cart. The store is always a disaster, even when I come right when they open. It's unfortunate that customers are leaving without purchasing anything just because you don't have a shopping cart for them. I will definitely be taking my business to another Dollar Tree or the .99 Store until you can figure out your customer service. read more
