This is the latter type, and they all seem to be very similar (Bethesda, Agrace, etc). Less crowds, traffic, anxiety, and clutter than Goodwill and St Vinnies, but also less selection. Check back regularly and you will find some treasures. For the most part the prices are fair. If I specifically need something, I start with Goodwill, because I have the best chance of browsing. But I dont always feel like stopping in Goodwill just to browse. Versus it can be very peaceful to stop in Boomerangs, or similar. I've probably been there a dozen times since they opened, and bought something 3 of the times. They have furniture, which not all thrift stores carry. The staff has always been helpful.

It's great that they know me by name, what firearms I own and are interested in, and greet me when I walk through the door. Other shops all the way to Milwaukee don't even ask if they can help you, and don't have much to buy. Top Pack's selection is enormous! Thankfully one of my co-workers brought in this cake from Costco to share. Walking into the breakroom, I was mesmerized by the beautifully and assiduously crafted cake. Four different layers make up this behemoth, a chocolate cake base sandwiches layers of creamy chocolate and white mousse, which is topped by a chocolate ganache frosting. As if that's not enough, brownie chunks can be found embedded in the mousse layers and there's crispy chocolate straw-like decorations decorating the top. The girth of the cake is large enough that it's a feat getting all those layers in one bite. For me, the brownie chunks were a bit superfluous as they were eclipsed by everything else going on. On the other end of the spectrum, the chocolate ganache frosting was my favorite as it was thick, fudge like, and full of flavor. I found all that chocolate paired well with a cool glass of milk. It's not enough to make me run out and get a membership, but if you love chocolate cake, you might experience a little FOMO without snagging one of these for your next party (or just for yourself). Woodman's Market is a local Wisconsin brand of markets that puts every other market I have shopped at to shame. They are community focused and worker owned, which is really cool in today's corporate driven retail environment. In addition to their mission, they are solely grocery driven, meaning they focus on food, and lots of it...you will not find a wide variety of clothing, toys, seasonal items, etc...here, just food, lots and lots of food, and drinks. The store itself is MASSIVE, overwhelmingly so. However it is so thoughtfully laid out and spaced very well. Aisles are wide, sections are very clear and well defined and again, the selection is unreal. This is repeated throughout the store with every section from produce, veggies, snacks, frozen, meats, drinks, etc... In addition to the impressive variety of goods, Woodman's also has a gas station, service/lube station (oil changes), car wash and of course a well-stocked and good sized liquor store! Legit, everything. The store is well maintained conditionally and was very clean, inside and out. Service was top notch as well. From the cart attendance to the stock associate to the cashier...all were great! Overall, Woodman's Market is currently my favorite grocery store in the country.
