I'm honestly furious with how Black Friday Deals handled this entire situation. I understand they…read morehave a no return policy -- that's not the issue. This wasn't a normal return. They charged me for items I did NOT intend to buy, items I never asked for, and to make it worse, these were damaged products just sitting on their messy, cluttered counter. The place was such a disaster that it was easy for these items to get mixed into my purchase without me even realizing it. Since no itemized receipt is offered and an added "surcharge" is tacked on, it makes it even easier for these practices to go unnoticed since they move you out so fast. And when I tried to correct THEIR mistake, they hid behind policy -- a policy they somehow think makes this type of situation acceptable. This isn't customer service. This feels like a company using a deceptive business practice and refusing to take responsibility for slipping damaged items into a customer's purchase and then acting like it's the customer's problem. People deserve to know exactly how they operate before spending a single dollar with them. Honestly, it's embarrassing that a business thinks this is acceptable behavior. If this is the standard they're proud of, that says everything anyone needs to know.

The Black Friday Deals and Discount Store is a bin-style discount shop that sells overstock,…read morereturns, and liquidation items from Amazon and other major retailers. The store operates on a tiered pricing schedule: items are restocked on Thursdays (when the store is closed), and Fridays start at the highest price point--$10 per item. Prices then drop each day until Wednesday, when everything is just $1. If you're looking for the best deals, I recommend going on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Even if you're on a tight budget, you can find items worth gifting or reselling for a profit--everything from electronics and beauty products to home goods and gadgets. If you pay with a credit card, expect to be charged a small additional fee. One experience worth noting: I picked up a multi-pack of false eyelashes, wrapped together in one plastic bundle, but was told at checkout that I had to pay for each item individually--even though they were clearly packaged as one. I found this frustrating and chose not to purchase them. Digging through bins does require time and patience, and yes, you might feel a little dusty by the time you're done--but that's part of the bin store experience. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy bargain hunting and don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, this place can be a goldmine.

I was there today approx. 3pm; not one person in there greeted me as I entered dispite the 'loss prevention' security personnel looking me up and down, and two cashiers located near the entry, but the three spanish men immediately behind me was loudly greeted with, "Hi, welcome to DD's'. Not one employee smiled, offered any assistance, or acted as if they wanted to be there. The female cashier spoke in a harsh tone and the young male cashier barely said a word or even looked at me. I now tend to only eat what I find at Smart Shopper. I especially like their vegan/vegetarian options which are cheap here but very expensive everywhere else. I love the eclectic mix of items, you never know what they will be selling. It's like a treasure hunt. Some people complain that some items are out of date or close to, But in 4 years I have only had 2 bad items and both were chips that tasted a little funny since I waited 6 months to long to consume them since I bought them. They say you can return items that are bad, but I never have since prices are so cheap. The staff is wonderful and they all seem happy to work here. They seem like a family. Three suggestions for people shopping here: Don't buy 10 of one item if you have not tried it before. Not everyone will like the Diablo Doritos. If you do like it, go back in and buy more because they may not have any tomorrow. Pick your shopping cart wisely. Some have bad wheels and will make for a wobbly and noisy shopping experience. I make close to 100k per year and this is still my favorite store. Sure, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Publix is nice, but $30 worth of goods at Smart Shopper would cost you $90 at the other places. It is definitely a large size store and they utilize the space well. They carry electronics, home goods, housewares, kitchen items, outdoor items, furniture, mattresses, gardening items, toiletries, clothing, electronics, and pantry items. The deals are pretty good, and sometimes they have things on clearance (watch for food items, since the dates are either close to the sell by dates or even past the sell by dates). I mean, I wasn't really in the market for specific items, but we found a meat probe for a good price, and actually some snacks too. It's too bad that I didn't live closer because they had patio furniture for sale at this one, and it would've definitely been worth the drive! The food aisles were plentiful (not like a different location that was mostly slim pickings). They do change out their inventory regularly, since this is a close out type of store. It was pretty clean and organized too! And from what I saw, service was pretty top notch--a few of us were looking for advertised deals and the staff (register people) hopped off and assisted with all of our questions and walked us over to the areas we needed to go to. If I'm ever in the area again, I plan to make a special trip out to this store!
