Parking was a disaster; between the outdoor church services in the nearby park, and all the exercisers, I was just driving down the street to leave when somebody pulled out and I got their spot. After walking around to the back of the building, there were four vendors set up. I thought - is this all there is? - and then finally I noticed people were using a different back entrance to gain access to the actual flea market. Directional signs would be a major plus next time! Inside there was an excellent selection of vendors, piled far and wide into narrow rows. I would have loved to have spent more time perusing, but it got so crowded so quickly, it was impossible. One trip through and I was done. If you don't like crowds, this is NOT the event for you. One final thought - please, for the love of all that is holy, leave your strollers and your pets at home. Carry your babies, or don't bring them, but there was certainly not enough room for the overwhelming number of carriages and the mass of humanity that filled this tiny space.

I also liked historic neighboring buildings that are starting to get repurposed as the area starts to blossom. Next door is a custom woodwork and furniture shop. The Heights YMCA, Carnegie library building, Waterworks Park and Ulele Restaurant, Cafe Hey, Oceanic Oriental Market, and Cafe Hey are also nearby. The indie vendors are the main attraction at the Indie Flea. Several crafters of leather goods, belts, purses, bags, a lovely smock and bag maker, Dark Cycle and other local t-shirt and clothing design companies, some cake and donut vendors, a few food trucks, candles, soaps, wreaths and succulents, cards, vintage items and such as well as good people watching. And fight Mayor Buckhorn's TBX highway expansion that will decimate, destroy and divide these historic neighborhoods once again in favor of suburban commuters and Buckhorn's big business construction buddies.

I'm honestly furious with how Black Friday Deals handled this entire situation. I understand they…read morehave a no return policy -- that's not the issue. This wasn't a normal return. They charged me for items I did NOT intend to buy, items I never asked for, and to make it worse, these were damaged products just sitting on their messy, cluttered counter. The place was such a disaster that it was easy for these items to get mixed into my purchase without me even realizing it. Since no itemized receipt is offered and an added "surcharge" is tacked on, it makes it even easier for these practices to go unnoticed since they move you out so fast. And when I tried to correct THEIR mistake, they hid behind policy -- a policy they somehow think makes this type of situation acceptable. This isn't customer service. This feels like a company using a deceptive business practice and refusing to take responsibility for slipping damaged items into a customer's purchase and then acting like it's the customer's problem. People deserve to know exactly how they operate before spending a single dollar with them. Honestly, it's embarrassing that a business thinks this is acceptable behavior. If this is the standard they're proud of, that says everything anyone needs to know.

The Black Friday Deals and Discount Store is a bin-style discount shop that sells overstock,…read morereturns, and liquidation items from Amazon and other major retailers. The store operates on a tiered pricing schedule: items are restocked on Thursdays (when the store is closed), and Fridays start at the highest price point--$10 per item. Prices then drop each day until Wednesday, when everything is just $1. If you're looking for the best deals, I recommend going on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Even if you're on a tight budget, you can find items worth gifting or reselling for a profit--everything from electronics and beauty products to home goods and gadgets. If you pay with a credit card, expect to be charged a small additional fee. One experience worth noting: I picked up a multi-pack of false eyelashes, wrapped together in one plastic bundle, but was told at checkout that I had to pay for each item individually--even though they were clearly packaged as one. I found this frustrating and chose not to purchase them. Digging through bins does require time and patience, and yes, you might feel a little dusty by the time you're done--but that's part of the bin store experience. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy bargain hunting and don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, this place can be a goldmine.

Some items are more "cheap" quality than others but overall, decent. I love the showrooms and being able to touch and experience what it actually feels like to be in that room. I drove 100+ miles and picked up my kitchen. After spending a few hours assembling the cabinets I realized that the cabinets were not the right size. 30" vs the 36" I had indicated that I needed. I was Not happy but decided to just deal with it and use what I was sold. When I went to install the cabinets on the wall I realized that the over the refrigerator cabinet was 24" deep instead of the 14" that I had requested to match the depth of the rest of the cabinets. This was a deal breaker for me as this cabinet door would not open due to it hitting the refrigerator hinges. I called customer service and spoke with someone that I could barely understand and explained the situation. When I was done explaining, the line was disconnected!!!. I started over and spoke to another person that was hard to understand with a dog barking in the background. This person set me up with an online appointment to resolve the problem. Six hours later I had the online appointment where the nice person that I could understand explained to me that they only designed kitchens and had no authority to resolve the situation. He then gave me a phone number to call to resolve the situation which was the same number that I had originally called. I called again and the individual I spoke to didnt seem to have enough knowledge about their product to help me. At this point I asked to return the cabinets. Ikea will pick up the cabinets in 9 DAYS. Then 5-6 business days later I will be refunded the money. So now I have to wait two more weeks to be able to reorder cabinets elsewhere because my money is tied up by this fiasco!
