So a dollar tree is a dollar tree (funny how most things in a dollar tree no longer cost just a dollar.. But then again 5 below has things that cost more than 5 Dollars in the store...:p) There isn't much to say, other than that this was cleaner and more organized than others (not counting some unopened boxes because the employees at these stores, plus when I needed help the employee actually went to check the isle he was telling me what I was looking for, was, rather than just sending me off and me finding out his instructions were wrong.. which happens more often than you would think in these kind of stores. They also had more than just one person at the checkout with a line of 10 people waiting to pay.. they actually had 3 people at the registers. So overall ok, however when paying we weren't asked if we wanted a bag and my wife was on crutches which would make it impossible for her to carry the items.. plus the carts have a long metal bar to ensure they aren't taken outside the store (and either stolen or left at random locations), so we wouldn't be able to go far if we didn't have a basket we bought where we through all of the stuff in. I understand the reasoning but what happens in practice means with no bag you juggle your things till the car . So, I would go back, but go with proper expectations. read more

The store rarely ever has a cart or a basket to properly shop, the location closest to my house closed. This is the second closest location to travel to. I am always tripping over stuff on the floor cashiers that have been there for a long time. Some are very nasty or rude as if you were an inconvenience to be checking out of the store. Definitely not a fan. I would definitely prefer to go somewhere else . The other cashiers that were transferred from the store that closes have always been very friendly and welcoming. I try to go to their line when I'm there. Not a fan of this place! read more

I go to this Dollar Tree almost every week and they're usually ok. The past 3 times I've went tho, they haven't had ANYTHING!! Been looking for gallons of water, some candy.....the shelves were pretty much empty. Also doesn't help that the place is almost always a mess. Hire more people cause you guys need the help!! read more

I buy all my potato chips and snacks here because they are 50% and sometimes 100% cheaper than most supermarkets and delis. They come from the same distributor yet I can't imagine why anyone else would go and pay two times the price for a $.99 bag of potato chips or other snack for two dollars in a supermarket. Totally mind-boggling.. This is what primitive mind setting is all about. I only buy things here that have expiration dates and the balloons are only one dollar each including the helium. read more

I wish this store was cleaner and more organized. However, it has a ton of useful stuff such as carpet cleaner, post its/other stationary, calendars and greeting cards for $1. It's a measly buck for things that you need which would run $18 at Staples (not exaggerating). I would not purchase pet food here, but they had an extensive selection of brand name (Friskees). I came here for seasonal items and they really deliver for any holiday. Tons and tons of adorable stuff Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween and Easter etc. Try popping by after holidays when the stuff goes on clearance and it's even cheaper! Great for party favors, cards, wrapping paper etc. just know you'll have to dig and it's kind of a maze. read more

I am giving 5 stars because base on the customer service, and the items I purchased. Honestly, they carry similar items to other dollars stores, which has great variety. But the staffs there are so polite, patient and helpful. They are especially kids friendly. They totally deserve more recognition. read more

This has to be the most anxiety producing store on Staten Island. The store is an absolute disaster! You can hardly walk nor move through the isles with your cart. It's like this every single time I go in there not just some days. They are extremely understaffed with huge checkout lines and only one or two registers opened. There is never staff on the floor I guess this is why each isle is packed with boxes and nothing on the shelves. I don't know if they have a problem regarding there inventory or what but this store is terrible! Only pro is large parking lot and if you know what you want you can try and find it in one of the boxes out in the isles. I seriously had to walk out today it was the worse I ever seen it. read more

This store has always been a total dumpster fire. Yesterday I got screamed at by the cashier for trying to use the item divider. She was horrified that I tried to put it on the conveyor belt and was yelling "THAT'S MINE, GIVE IT BACK" and everyone was staring. Male cashier did not acknowledged me nor thanked me for my patronage. He was quite affable to the customer in front of me who had A LARGE BILL ! I HAD TWO ITEMS. CASHIER was affable to prior customer and busily chatting with the female coworker. Something needs to be done with this store. As others have stated, this location is quite disorganized. That said, the service is (relatively) prompt and the selection is up to par. Definitely worth going to in order to pick up a few cheap essentials during your shopping trip. read more

I should note this review was also posted by me to Google Reviews, but I am posting it here too to raise awareness on my issue. This store used to be one of my favorite stores to visit. A particularly mean cashier named Kate has ruined the experience for me though. One day I was buying some chips for my grandson and I had to endure this problematic cashier. She was a very mean person who kept yelling across the store to other employees, and seemed more focused on her cellphone and grunting at me than properly doing her job. She got snippy with me when I took a few seconds to take out my wallet. While I did walk out with the chips for my grandson, I walked out in sorrow over what this store has become. Thankfully the Dollar Tree by the Atrium Cinemas is still around and is a much cleaner and nicer location than this one. I feel safer and happier going to that one over this one with the mean cashier named Kate. read more

By far, the best Dollar Tree on Staten Island. No refrigerator or freezer section but but they make up for that in having so many items!

I wish I could give 0 s.. Omg what a horrible experience ! How is this place still opened ??? There are aisles blocked , so that you can't even walk around . Isn't that a fire hazard ? - the people that work there don't seem to care , they just keep on piling up the boxes. Carpet is stained .. I think you should spend the extra money and shop elsewhere ! THIS STORE IS VERY UNORGANIZED. THE MANAGER IS RUDE TO THEIR EMPLOYEES AND COSTUMERS I'M DISGUSTED!!! I was there the other day and there was a young lady doing the register, her shift was over and she had to go home. The lady on the register told the manger that her shift was over since that's the time she been put on to leave and she had school right after, but the manger started screaming at her disrespectfully and hulimating her infront of costumers that she couldn't leave until the time the manger wanted her too leave and did not care at all! The manger went back to the room after she finish verbally attacking the employee, leaving her to giant line full of costumers ALL BY HERSELF WITH NO HELP while the manger is too busy in the back not doing her job. The employee seemed shaken up and overwhelmed I felt bad for her, she was just trying to do her job. When the manger finally came out of the room, a costumer said something to the manger about how she just mistreated her employee and the manger also was screaming at the costumer to get out of the store if you don't like it, ect ect. If there is a lady that is short and old that wears a yellow jacket REPORT HER IMMEDIATELY SHE IS DIGUSTING HER BEHAVIOR IS UNACCEPTABLE HOW SHE TREATS PEOPLE GET HER OUT!!!! read more

This was the dirtiest, messiest dollar tree I've ever been to. The shelves were all disorganized and the floor was filthy. This place was gross. I blame the management. Packages were opened and things were spilled all over. And there were no carts anywhere. I had to walk through the parking lot to find a cart. This place was nasty. This store is a hazard to shop in. You have to maneuver around all the boxes, nothing is ever put away , the store is a total mess!!!! I go to the dollar tree stores in New Jersey , and the stores are neat as a pin. A district manager should really look into this place it is horrendous!!! read more
