This dollar store is the closet to my house and it's sooo gross! I will go out my way to avoid it sometimes! The floors are dirty and the roof is always leaking! I just stopped at the Dollar Tree at Kuykendhl near Supermarket Walmart. Went to the Kuykendall store to exchange some items. Got up to register & the manager was extremely rude about it & deliberately lied about the return policy saying we could only return $1 items with other $1 items, $5 items for same amount & so on. She then threw the poor girl ringing us up & yelled at her for not knowing this. I went over to Loretta location & talked to the general manager which informed us that no that wasn't right & agreed ReGina or Eugenia had lied to us. I went back & called her out on it in front of the employee that she publicly embarrassed & told her she should get outta there & go to a different store. Lifes to short to work for a lying miserable B-t-h. If you don't have to shop at that location, don't. Employees are awesome, manager needs to go. read more

Walked in to buy a small knife to cut my apple with. There was one lady at the register and when I walked up she said "no". What she meant to say was "I'm sorry ma'am I'm not open yet" and direct me to where I could check out. But nope. I just got "no" So by reason of deduction I walked to register 2 of which the light was on and waited but no one was there or came and I was ignored for several minutes. The NO woman walked passed me once then came back and grabbed my knife and took it to the original register I was no-ed at. I said "I thought that one was closed" and she replied "No I just wasn't ready for you" with a bit of an attitude. It's 2pm maam? On the day after Xmess. How do you not have a register available and be able to deduce a customer that would like to just check out quickly and go finish her lunch?? Keep your knife. I'll go to Walmart and buy an apple corer. read more

Always out of stock. Filthy carpet. I don't know how this location stays in business. When I visit other Dollar Trees in the area it's just the opposite! Called the corporate office and no one would answer the phone! It's sad because this area is super busy and deserves a better dollar store. read more

This place is always so messy. I feel sorry for the employees, they can't keep up. Obviously ownership or management is not doing a good job of keeping up with it either. I actually saw an employee trying to pick up and another employee come and tell them, "Dont bother it will be a mess in an hour. This is the closest dollar tree to me and I refuse to go here. I went into this Dollar Tree to pick up a few items. While the cashier scanned my merchandise I was getting out my money. I stood there when he finished waiting on my total. He says" I'm waiting on you to pay." I respond" there is nothing on the screen and you didn't say anything." Cashier then says "you should have looked at the screen." Last time I checked I was a customer making a purchase and should been told my total if I was taking too long. I told him I didn't have a need to purchase from him and he can void the transaction. I waited for the manager on duty to come up. I explained what happened he became belligerent and told me to move around. The manager had to tell him to be quiet several times as she spoke to me. The energy he used in that confrontation could have been used to tell me what I owed and been on my way. This young man only scanned items and stood there waiting on the customer to respond. His lack of customer service and bad energy will keep out that location. read more

Unfortunately, today I had one of the worst experiences of my life at dollartree of kuykendhal and 2920. Not only the store was not well stocked, it was dirty and looked worst than a third world country place. The employees were rude and careless and the cashier overcharged me. When I asked for my money back, the "manager" told me to go get something else from the store . I wanted or not to get another item,, I had to because the cashier with her attitude wanted me to pay more money.. needless to say that this was the last time I visited this specific store. I don't recommend it to anyone cause I don't want them to have the same experience as I had. read more

I love this location, the employees are always friendly and willing to help when needed. I come in here quite a bit to get items for making gift baskets or for giveaways and they always help and check in with another stores if they don't have or have enough of what I'm looking for. My only con about this place is that they don't have the refrigerated food items like some of the other locations do. read more

They usually have what I am looking for. This time they had the plastic wrap and aluminum foil for my kitchen needs.

Big store, so many items, no frozen food but awesome beauty items/ and nail polish named brands. Also great shampoo and conditioner beside everything else being $1. Cashier has no personality though, but maybe just that lady. read more
