I shopped at this Dollar Tree at Kresge on 3/10/2023 @ 7:30 p.m. I normally enjoy walking through…read moreand seeing what kind of deals are available. Like Aldi's, I always get much more than intended. It's fun looking for deals and I have found products I like as a result. However, this time during check out, there was only 1 Sales Associate available. When I walked up to the checkout with my items, she was in a heated discussion with two other customers that at the register. Initially, I thought there were problems at the register. The associate was very loud and speaking in another language that I didn't understand. Eventually, I realized that there wasn't a problem with the register. The Sales Associate must've been angry about something and was spouting off to her acquaintances or friends. I do know they weren't saying much. She was doing most of the loud talking while they listened. No attempt was made to let me know that she knew I was waiting and would be with me in a moment. No apologies were made for my waiting while she was having an in-depth conversation instead of doing her job. I was annoyed, but tried not to express that. It was similar to having a line of 10 people with only one cashier. I guess because of Covid & the difficulty in finding employees that are good, sub-par customer service is the standard at some places. Not sure if I would go to this Dollar Tree again. The one on Lake Road in Sheffield Lake is much nicer.

I love their little holiday trinkets. Being a teacher, this is the place that I go to purchase items for gift bags for miscellaneous holidays. Some items I would never buy at this store and some things I think are a really great deal. All of the Dollar Tree's that I have been to have been pretty messy. They don't seem very organized.

Okay, first off I have nothing against the people who work here. It's not a career with endless…read moreadvancement and my hat's off to them for working hard and wearing a lot of hats. Last time I was here, I saw them collecting carts, then stocking shelves, followed by checking me out. Every retail store is having problems finding help, so that's why you see so many, what used to be called "weirdos," but heaven forbid you should call them that now. Blue hair, tattoos up you neck and face, and the mandatory nose ring are now "normal." Not sayin this store has that going on, just explaining what's out there and why. It's the "hey look at me" generation, not look what I can do. Anyway, my issue is with the folks who actually run Dollar Tree, the corporate people. Now that you're no longer just selling items for $1.25 which used to be $1.00, please stop making all these smaller sizes just to keep the price low. No one wants a 3 oz. toothpaste unless they're traveling, and I think we've all figured out your deodorants cost just as much per ounce as WalMart, but kuddos to you sneaky devils keep the container is the same size. Before Wuhan Flu (sorry, Covid 19) we used to buy your cookies all the time. There were 8 individual packs in the box for $1.00 When the Communist China Wuhan Flu hit, you cut the box down to 4 individual packs. Overall packaging looked the same, but only half the amount of cookies. Hey, 100% price increase overnight. (Shhhh, no one could figure that out?) Then a few month later, all prices go from $1.00 to $1.25 so now we're actually paying $2.50 for what used to cost a buck. But don't worry, Joe Biden and his minions (handlers) inform us that "inflation was only 3% percent," so feel better now. You should change you name to China Tree.

A good dollar store. It has plenty of things to choose from. I have complained to the store manager, to the corporate offices, yet it continues. I only go there because they accept my insurance flex card. No more, I will go to Walmart from now on. It's out of my way but atheist I don't find moldy cheese, and rows of product past their use by date. I have filed a complaint also with the BETER BUSINESS BUREAU. The Marc's in Elyria Ohio doesn't have the customers safety in mind. I will also contact the Lorain County Health Department

I'm staying across the abandoned mall at a hotel and was hungry. First time in a Marc's. I thought it was a grocery store but it's oddly packed with some of everything -but also lacking a lot of the usual grocery store departments. Like, I took a few laps and couldn't locate the bakery. And there were shelves bursting with pickles, mayonnaise, and ketchup, but oddly very little ice cream options. I tried to find sliced meats and cheeses to make a sandwich, and I did eventually find a cooler, but it was in the same place with a bunch of odd stuff like gardening suppplies and grill charcoal. The store is old, worn, not clean. When I stepped in there was stuff on the floor, dead plants. So strange. I bought a couple of things, but I don't think I'll return. I wish there were other grocery options, but Elyria seems quite limited in that regard.
