Today (June, 15, 2018) My friend and I went to this Dollar Tree to get one thing. As we got to cash register we saw the light was off but the employee (Kaitlin) was standing at the cash register, my friend went up to her to kindly ask if she was open, the employee walked away to go talk to another employee while walking away she said answered my friend with a very rude "Not anymore". That was strike one. I usually am a pretty understanding person, I'm not short tempered. When Kaitlin called us up to the register to check us out she already seemed to be in a very unhappy mood. I tried to explain to Kaitlin that it was very unprofessional to walk away from a costumer when they have questions. Which she then replied "I have 3 people talking to me! Next time I'll go directly to you and not them"... she said this in a very rude tone. I've worked in retail before, so I do understand the struggle of having to do/listen multiple things or people. I would have never snapped at a costumer like that. That was strike two. I tried explaining to her that it was rude to talk back to a costumer that's trying to give her advice... she gave me the biggest eye roll. That was strike three... A Latino couple and there kids were standing next to us and saw this happen. The Latina women said in Spanish "how rude, she been acting like this for a while." I replied (being Latino myself) "I'm sorry this is really unbelievable." I have never experienced this type of unbelievable behavior from an employee... if you can't handle the pressure of working in retail there are many jobs where you don't have as much pressure. It's not my fault that you're having a bad day. On our way out she said "have a nice day" in the most snobbish way and then turned around to talk about us (my friend and I) with the cashier behind her. Let's just say this very patient, understanding, doesn't take himself serious guy, wasn't very happy in his visit. I don't want to cost anyone there job... but god damn teach your employees respect. read more
