I absolutely love the store. I would go down to the Bay Area all of the time and stopping at Daiso…read morewas always a must. I went on opening day to the Daiso in Santa Maria. It is just like any of the other Daiso stores have been to. The prices are extremely affordable. They have so many unique items for sale. Everyone refers to die so as the Japanese dollar store. Everything ranges in price from $1.75 to I believe $15. They have pricing guides up and down the aisles to teach you how to identify the price of items. They offer a variety of Merchan nose from plushy's, school supplies, and stationary to snacks, cold beverages, and household supplies, and a little bit of everything in between. The aisles are a bit narrow, but I feel when the hype dies down and not so many people are in and out of the store it won't be an issue. On opening day, the line to check out was very long, but it also moved at a great pace. The employees were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about where things were located in the store. I definitely enjoyed my first trip and I will be back for many more.

I went here looking for a ramen bowls and they had a lot to choose from. The store was well organized and clean and the staff were great. All the food was fresh and well put together. There's a surprising amount of craft supplies at this location and so many things on each aisle, you will want to se aside atleast an hour if you want to see everything. I received the worst customer service today. They made no announcements prior to me and another young lady were in there shopping and come to find out. They didn't have any registers unless you had cash. I call back later cause the young lady told me that she would hold the merchandise and they said that the register still weren't up now I just called before closing and they said they put stuff back and they weren't holding stuff which I think it's a very big inconvenience and very rude considering they said that they would hold in and put my name on the merchandise now I have to go in there and spend another two hours. I've been shopping here for t-shirts + sweaters since high school. This store has not changed one bit! I appreciate their consistency and minimal offerings. I know that when I plan to go visit young's, they'll have exactly what I'm looking for and I'll be appreciated as a long time customer.
