But if anything it's creepy and unnecessary makes everyone feel uncomfortable having a worker stare at them intensely. I went a couple a weeks ago and me and my boyfriend got integrated and accused of stealing ONLY BECAUSE I GAVE MY WALLET AND KEYS TO MY BOYFRIEND AND HE PUT THEM IN HIS POCKET we felt so uncomfortable after the incident and interaction with this lady. Nobody likes being accused of stealing we tried to explain to her in my broken Spanish we did no such nothing and she looked back on her ipad and zoomed in on us and apologized. if you do go, make sure not to pass any personal items to anyone and put them in your pocket or sweater if not you'll get accused of stealing too

I walked in just to check it out. Lots and lots of men's clothing, so I didn't think I'd spend much more time here. But as I walked around (very oddly set up) I noticed cleaning items, women's socks, office supplies, men's underwear for 99 cents, I mean: WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED IN LIFE?! I ended up finding some cute Elsa and Anna socks (for me!) and some readers. That was a good find, I suppose, but not too sure if I'll be back. Maybe? I suppose their merchandise may turn over like a 99 cent store, so maybe in a lucky day you could get a really good deal. All in all, HUGE store with a WIDE variety of items. I guess check it out, if for the experience of it all!

I absolutely love the store. I would go down to the Bay Area all of the time and stopping at Daiso…read morewas always a must. I went on opening day to the Daiso in Santa Maria. It is just like any of the other Daiso stores have been to. The prices are extremely affordable. They have so many unique items for sale. Everyone refers to die so as the Japanese dollar store. Everything ranges in price from $1.75 to I believe $15. They have pricing guides up and down the aisles to teach you how to identify the price of items. They offer a variety of Merchan nose from plushy's, school supplies, and stationary to snacks, cold beverages, and household supplies, and a little bit of everything in between. The aisles are a bit narrow, but I feel when the hype dies down and not so many people are in and out of the store it won't be an issue. On opening day, the line to check out was very long, but it also moved at a great pace. The employees were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about where things were located in the store. I definitely enjoyed my first trip and I will be back for many more.

I came by the next day to try to exchange them and was told by the manager that their store policy is not to provide any exchanges or refunds. I asked where this is advertised and she told me it's on my receipt - ofc the customer only sees that after they paid. To add insult to injury, manager advised me that I should have asked for my items to be wrapped in paper. Not sure how this is my responsibility. I am spreading the word that this is their customer service policy. I personally vouch to never shop at Daiso again. The cheap junk isn't worth the hassle.

The aisles are narrow and frequently packed with boxes both empty and full. It feels as though there are never enough people working and those who do have their hands full of customers who couldn't care less about the store or what their children do when in the store. Packages are opened, sodas half drunk and left on shelves, stuff thrown everywhere, kids playing ball in the aisles. Really? Where are their parents? It should not be the total responsibility of the staff to control unruly youngsters. Perhaps a rule of thumb"nobody under the age of 18 admitted without a parent" should be applied. Very sad.
