Manager Mike Called the police on a innocent Black woman: This morning around 9:10 a.m., I went into the Dollar Tree at 1121 Larpenteur Ave W, Roseville, MN 55113. I was on FaceTime with a friend and placed her on hold as I walked to the cashier to show the backpack I brought with me. I clearly explained that I had it for donations to Jamaica, and the cashier acknowledged and verbally agreed that it was okay. To be sure there was no confusion, I repeated myself three times and received clear confirmation each time. I then walked around the store in good spirits--talking with other customers and staff, browsing the aisles to find the right items to pack. I didn't have a purse or anything else with me, just the backpack. Around 9:30 a.m., I was unexpectedly approached by the police and told to leave because I was allegedly trespassing. No information or explanation was provided to me on why this report was made. Situations like this raise questions about customer rights and how policies are applied. Under Minnesota trespassing law (Minn. Stat. § 609.605), a person commits trespass only if they enter or remain on property without consent or after being told to leave. In this case, I entered with explicit staff consent--confirmed multiple times--and complied immediately when asked to leave. This kind of incident can create a harmful and confusing experience for community members acting in good faith, especially when trying to do something positive like organizing donations. I'll be tagging Dollar Tree (Roseville, MN - 1121 Larpenteur Ave W, Store #3036) to bring awareness to what happened and hopefully encourage a review of how situations like this are handled. Stopped in to exchange three items I had bought. The cashier had a line so I continued on to just past the last register where I saw a fellow stocking. I asked him if I could do an exchange? Should I go grab the new items? I came back up with my new purchases and asked him if I should go get in line? He offered to do my transaction @ the last register. Probably the smallest Dollar Tree I have ever been to - I am used to more modern mammoth locations. However, this location has narrow isles and the shelves were pretty well stocked. We came looking for inexpensive Halloween decorations as well as things for trick or treating. We were able to find some odds and ends that we needed so it was a successful trip - we got a big bag of stuff for under $20. read more

I went shopping at the Dollar tree in Roseville I am 64 years old I work for the county I asked for the key for the bathroom I went in there to try to go and the door was locked and I could not get it unlocked and I was getting my stuff in the store and I returned the key up front and then looking for my cart couldn't find it so they put it somewhere I grabbed a new cart this black lady that works there asked me if I had the key or what I did with it I told her that I gave it back it's up front on the register she continued to say why did you shit all over our floor and all over our toilet and smear it I said excuse me what are you talking about I couldn't even get in the bathroom and I said there was another lady that went in behind me and she said no one else could go in there because you had the key well if I had the key how did she get in there to see this and I continue to tell her the door was locked and I could not get in and I said why don't you go look on your video and she continued to say I don't have to because I know you did it you shit all over our floor and all over our toilet she continued to slander me in the store in front of customers I am so humiliated I would never in a million years do that I'm the one that cleans up behind people and get so disgusted because of the Walmart bathrooms are so bad and for someone accuse me of something like that and she just continued on to accuse me of this is anybody else had problems with this this is like the second incident that's been at this store that I have seen besides them accusing people of stealing give me your review thank you read more

Ho-hum another Dollar Tree and it's not too far away from another Tree and is a little bigger and a lot less business it seems. At least it's in the same order as the others in the chain so we can head to the aisle that's of interest. I found out that if one store is out of a product line then this store is too. Dollar Trees have some bargain finds like brand name dish detergent instead of just made for discount off brands that are mostly water. Scotch brand scrub pads aren't such a deal. If it's a dollar here for one, it's a 3 pack at Menards for $1.99. When I was very young the old timers used to say.."..and that's how they get ya." read more

Worst dollar tree I have ever been in. Very dirty, messy and the staff were not nice. In fact I was in line waiting to check out and another employee was just hanging around doing not much but talking. But when a black couple got in line she opened her register and offered to help them. Not the next person in line. I have been to this store before and it has not changed. I made purchases and needed a receipt for reimbursement. The cashier refused to give me a receipt and when I asked the manager for one I was screamed at and told to take my business somewhere else while the cashier snickered. This is illegal. No wonder this company is losing business. read more

Horrible customer service, cashier Janelle not only yelled and screamed at me walked away from the register and when I called back refused to let me talk to a manger and insisted I tell her who I was and why I was calling because her life depended on it? This store is rapidly going from bad to worse! From entering the front door, you can tell it lacks some much needed supervision. The shelves are empty or a mess; there are carts lining the aisles so that you can hardly maneuver through the store. I resorted to ordering online and having my items sent to the store. That proved to be the wrong thing to do because the "manager" had no idea what he was doing. A package had been delivered for me; I was told to simply go in & show identification & pick up my package. He located my package, but insisted I stand (on a broken leg) for 25+ minutes, while he stared at the cash register as if it would tell him what he should do. Realizing I had paid for my items when ordering, I became frustrated & asked if I could leave. The manager then told me I had to sign another charge slip! When I refused, he told me to go to another store! I realize these are all franchises, but this one is giving the Dollar Tree company a very bad name! I hope they look into it soon! read more

I love Dollar Tree stores - all of them, anywhere. But this one . . . is awesome. It's bigger, cleaner and more organized than most other locations of Dollar Tree. I stopped in there for a couple cheap cloths to clean with and was blown away! I mean, it's a dollar store - so standards are low - but this one is really good. They have a huge selection of gift wrap, bows, bags and cards; cleaning and sponges; plastic wrap, tin foil, etc. Stop by and check it out. read more

This is the most disgusting Dollar Tree I've ever been in. It needs to be completely remodeled. It smells like fish, the carpets are threadbare and stained, and there's stock laying everywhere and blocking aisles (which is an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen for equal denial of service to those using mobility devices). I'm not sure if Dollar Tree's are all corporate owned or franchised or what, but this one needs a complete overhaul. It's shocking how poor the conditions are. read more

This store is all-around scummy and I'm glad, after yesterday, that I will never again give them my money. It wasn't the first time, in my experience, that they got busy, opened a new check lane, and let the first uncivilized customer - who could get there fastest - be checked out before those of us who'd been waiting in line longer. It's poor customer service on the cashier's part but especially the managers'. Also, there's always freight lining the aisles and blocking merchandise, at all times of day. I announced to the offenders that they are all rude, and left my basket of cheap crap sitting there in the check out lane. Good riddance. read more

I went into the Dollar Tree this morning!!! Was the worst store every !! Looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, trash on the floor, shelves were a mess, stains on the carpet where something had been spilled. In this critical time of Covid or anytime this is so wrong in so many ways. I would think if this was my business I would want to know and take action right away!!!! read more

I went to this store with my two young boys to purchase balloons for a deceased persons balloon release yesterday in Roseville and Janelle was extremely rude. I asked her for 6 white balloons and she said that they are the dollar store and don't have a helium tank- I have always purchased my balloons from this store- when I told why I needed them she rolled her eyes and walked over to the helium tank. I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me and another employee came and helped me. I asked this employee for the manager and she informed me that It was Janelle- at that point Janelle raised her voice and told me that I had no idea how bad her day was and caused a scene in front of customers, employees and my sons who were in shock. I just hope that Ralph Bells family and friends were treated better when purchasing balloons since this was a nearby Dollar Tree to the site where the balloon release was read more

Horrible service! If I could rate no stars I would. Please stay away..I was trying to buy things for Christmas DIY projects and as I wanted to check out, I went to an aisle that the light was on and no one was there. I start to unload and the lady 3 aisle down yelled "if you want me to help you, you need to come over here" in massive attitude. I'm pretty patient but that attitude for a worker I didn't need. I replied back " oh I didn't know because your light wasn't on" and she started giving more attitude so I just left my cart and walked out. read more

I have been to several Dollar Tree Stores and this by far the best. Clean, bright and big. The staff are helpful and friendly.
