Customer service is great! I really like this Dollar Tree. There's a lot of variety of things that you can get here.

I felt like coming here was a mistake as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. The parking lot should have been an indicator as to the state of the store. Bumpy might be best to describe what it was like to be in here, and an apt way to describe the parking lot. I honestly just came in here to grab some snacks and maybe some items to help complete my apartment coming together. But what I can remember most about this place was there there was total chaos on the shelves. Some areas were just completely missing stock and some was just so disjointed. It was hard to find an item that you wanted, but to separate a like item halfway down the aisle really didn't make for a fun/fast shopping experience. The lines were long at the register, and it felt like you were bothering those that were working. But I can understand a bit, being stuck at the register while the store was a chaotic mess probably doesn't bode well with your mindset. read more

I want to go get some school supplies for my kids and I was getting ready to check out and my little daughter that's only two got a Chapstick and she just looked at it and put it back and one of the other worker that was right next to her, told her through her ear saying that the little girl touched the Chapstick and put it on her mouth when the Chapstick was close so the other Worker that supposed say that she was the manager went to go check and she opened it herself. it was not even open. The paper came off when she opened it. She told us she was very rude about it saying that look your daughter open this that's very nasty and I just said well you don't gotta be so rude about It And she was very disrespectful when we got to pay she kept throwing our stuff when we were trying to put it in a bag. She kept throwing at it and they got to the point that when we were leaving, she got a deodorant and she threw it at the desk saying that come get your thing so we went to go grab it and we were like why are you going to be so rude about it? Is this how you treat your customers and I was with all my kids and she even threatened me to come hit me if I didn't leave the store. I don't recommend this. My kids were very scared. she doesn't even seem like she's a worker there because she doesn't treat people with respect I went to the store for many years. I've been there for 12 years and never had this type of experience. I see managers have been kind, but this time this manager was very rude and disrespectful. So if dollar tree isn't one of your favorite stores... you just not be going to the right one. While all dollar trees are not created equal, this is a pretty good one. This location has all the Arizona flavors my heart could desire. I got a couple of mucho mangos in case you were wondering. I came in looking for things to help comprise nature/hiking themed gift bags. I was able to find most of what I was looking for, gift bags, trail mix, and thank you cards. I even was able to get a bunch of "yes" night time facial masks that I'm pretty sure would cost three times as much in Ulta or Sephora. Some of the isles looked a little sparse in certain areas but maybe it's because I went at night and some items just hadn't been restocked yet. Some parts of the isle also looked a little disheveled. Overall, this is a pretty solid dollar tree and likely going to have the things you're looking for a bargain on. It's also going to have some cool things you're not looking for but get anyways because it's only a dollar! Happy shopping! read more

So many things went wrong with this DT! I went for a bday car and money to put into the card. I walked out with 5 types of candy, car air fresheners, and bottles of self labeled PH balanced 1 liter water. This always happens to me at the DT. I ultimately go into baller mode and buy random things that I may or may not need, but it's just a dollar. The store was a little awkward. I go to many dollar trees and as far as setup is concerned this one was really off putting. Nothing was where I expected it to be and on top of everything the lines were god awful. I've noticed this becoming a trend at DT. They don't ever open enough lanes and I always find myself contemplating leaving everything in the aisle, basket, or cart and just walking out. To add insult to injury I got $50 cash back for my road trip to Philadelphia that night and they said " we don't have any cash in this register!" Come on....you've got to be kidding me. So they had to call a manager and the manager had to go to the safe in the office. When she came out she still didn't have my money. It took about twenty minutes and finally 4 tens and 2 fives emerged! I wanted twenties, but at this point I was missing the Birthday party at Bowlero and just wanted to get back to the festivities. Hateeeee to do this but Dollar Tree, you slay me! Things have gone reallyyyyyyyy downhill at the Kenilworth Dollar Tree. So much so that I felt compelled to update my previous 4-star review to a 2-star! The once spotless store is now a disheveled mess :-/ Boxes of items to be restocked on the shelves litter the floors, which I guess is to blame for the nearly empty displays in many aisles. And it's not because the place is understaffed -- it's because I don't think the employees here give a darn! What also makes no sense to me (though I've noticed this at other DTs in the area) is that on a busy day, they'll only have 1-2 cashiers working. I've never seen THREE open registers here. Ever. I hope they get their act together. read more

Well I have regained my love for The Dollar Store. My first impression was very well organized and fully stocked shelves. Second was that I did not have to walk over a trashed floor. Seriously neat and tidy. Thirdly the employees are very personable. Friendly smiles and a pleasant posture is a must for me. It doesn't matter if I'm spending 1$ or 1000$. A Dollar Tree that's a mile from my school?! This could be bad news for my pocketbook. Everyone knows how teachers are constantly spending their own money on classroom materials. At least now I can get more bang for the buck. One dollar to be exact, because everything's a dollar at Dollar Tree! 180 stickers. One dollar. 64 wooden clothespins. One dollar. Foam board. In general I love Dollar Tree, who doesn't like to most for their money. However, the management in this store is exceptional. When I enter the store, it is always neat (no random items on the floor) and clean. I also noticed that this store has a lot of special items that other Dollar Trees don't have. Although I enjoy the variety and bargains offered at Dollar Tree this location as well as the Annapolis Road location are filthy. The floors are in need of a good power washing to remove the gum and tar. In addition, while standing in the long lines you can see all the merchandise that has fallen under the display racks and product shelves. For a store that sells food you think they would and should do better. read more

I just discovered this location last week and am sad I've been missing out. It's a hop, skip and jump from home and work, but here I've been trekking up to Greenbelt and even Laurel to get my Dollar Tree fix. Never again! This location has great parking and is conveniently located a few doors down from a post office. There's also an Advance Auto parts and a restaurant in the same plaza. The location is right of 201/Kenilworth so it's fairly accessible. Inside, it's well-stocked and organized. They could do a bit more to keep the aisles cleared while restocking, but it wasn't horrible. The aisles were about as wide as I've seen at any other Dollar Tree so it wasn't bothersome. The staff were friendly, but it didn't seem like there were a ton there when I went during my lunch hour. In either case, it wasn't very busy either. This will definitely be my go-to location from now on. read more

It seems like back-to-school season has wiped out most the DT's out, and because I was looking for specific item, I was going to all of them in the area. I drove 20 min tonight to go to the Hyattsville,MD location, only to find that they closed almost an hour early! I called them for the parking lot just to make sure it wasn't a misunderstanding, and they confirmed that they were closed. I watched over and over as people stood confused at the locked doors, looking for a sign or explanation. I worked retail when I was younger and know that closing early is a no no, I wonder if anyone in charge knows of this. read more

I asked the cashier how much a table mat was since they have 50% off and their flower seeds are 30 cents she refused to check price and stated this is the dollar store with an attitude she questioned if i wantes each item i had on the belt because i didnt want to get place mat she was a middle ages hispanic woman whom was very rude. I just had the worst experience at this Dollar Tree. For starters, the store is a mess. There was an employee walking around, on the phone, wearing a denim jacket, as if to be pretending that she did not work there. And, Vontria, the so-called Sales Associate, rudely snatched my basket, flung my stuff around and acted as if it was standard operating procedures. She was so rude that it prompted me to ask if she was having a bad day, in which she replied, "no", but clearly there was something wrong with her, if she thought that it was exceptable to act in that manner. I could have gotten rude in return, but karma took the wheel, because I handed her a $20 bill and she mistakenly entered $2 and had no clue as to how to proceed... lol. But long story short, do not shop at the Dollar Tree, unless you want poor service, with a side of attitude from Vontria. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever had and I work in retail. To much attitude in this store. I walk into the store at 8:49pm and the doors were locked. The manager comes to open the door and she's stated "the store is closed." I told her" Ma'am, your store is not closed. It says you close at 9pm on the door." So with attitude she lets me in the store. The store closes at 9pm but at 8:50pm they were making an announce over the intercom saying that every customer in the store needed to come to the register because they we're now closed. I quickly yelled through the store "YOU ARE NOT CLOSED!!" Lol other customers laughed. I still don't understand why you would close a store to the public 10 minutes before your actual closing time. I have to think these people are being paid to write good reviews. Horrible horrible horrible customer service!!! I believe a business needs to not treat their customers like idiots to get their money. This business doesn't take that approach and has six employees working the store but only one cashier with a line of 15 people. Do yourself a favor and skip going here because they'll just treat you like you're garbage. read more
