My total came up to a bit less than $50. After paying instead of just handing me the receipt, she asked me if I wanted it. I don't like carrying around unnecessary stuff so I just said "no thank u" without thinking too hard about it. To my surprise the phone charge cord I purchased which is right upfront by the registers DOES NOT WORK, so I called to explain it wasn't working & to ask if they could EXCHANGE it for me (still in it's packaging) and she very impolitely started talking over me and said without the receipt they couldn't even do an exchange. I told her it's still in the package and everything she continued to talk over me just saying "NO", "NO", "NO"... Finally I had enough of the rudeness and just hung up. I will NEVER IN MY LIFE SPEND ANOTHER DIME IN THAT ESTABLISHMENT SINCE THEY CANNOT RESPECT & HONOR THE CUSTOMERS WHO KEEP THEM IN BUSINESS! Absolutely ghetto and ridiculous!!

She did not smile and in fact seemed annoyed that there were customers lining up to pay. It was awkward and I honestly just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. - Items were not labeled with correct pricing, for example, I found a birthday card and a bag from the shelves that said one dollar per item, but when I paid for them, each of them cost $2 apiece. It still has its CVS and pizza hut food stand along with the Starbucks which others have lost. But the space is so limited that where others have a section it has just part of a row. Service has always been friendly and fast. I drive past here most evenings after work, but still go to others on my days off. Too nice of a neighborhood for a sucky Target. If it was for my COVID booster appointment, I would have not come.

I am writing to report a concerning incident that occurred at the Aldi location on Middlebelt Road…read morenear I-96 in Livonia earlier today. After completing my purchases through a cashier (not the self-checkout), I returned to my car in the parking lot. Shortly afterward, the store manager approached my vehicle and took a photograph of both me and my license plate without explanation or consent. This action was unexpected and made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. I then went back into the store to ask for an explanation. The manager informed me that I had been mistaken for someone else and that I was "the wrong person." While I understand that errors can happen, the way this situation was handled--particularly photographing me in the parking lot--was inappropriate and distressing. I would like clarification on Aldi's policies regarding photographing customers, as well as reassurance that this type of incident will be addressed to prevent it from happening to others.

The line is always down the aisle. Aldi is supposed to open more lines if there are more than 2 people in line. Never happens. Manager was working the register and is a complete asshole. Very passive aggressive. Even when you nicely ask him questions. I asked why this location only has 2 lines open with the line all the way to the back of the store. All he says is " Why do think? It's Christmas. I informed him that every time I visit this store it's like this. I asked him why he don't hire more people and how much Aldi pays because my nephews are looking for jobs. He said they only hire via internships. I told him I wasn't shopping at this location again because you have to wait so long in line. His response was 'I'm sure we will survive'. And they will. But if enough people stop shopping there, he'll be out of a job. He was not nice in this conversation, very passive aggressive. I'm sure this is why this location don't have enough employees. Just this brief interaction with this manager (cashier) and I knew I would quit if he was my boss. A complete jerk. Go to any Aldi but this one. Worst experience every time.
