This is my second visit to this aldi. One good thing I like with aldi is depositing quarter dollar to use the cart. This makes the customers to leave it back in cart stand. Produce section is small and I couldn't find all I needed. I got good deals on assume kitchen and home needs. Good selection of snacks don't expect the brands usually look for. Frozen pizza is good deal I think 2.99 pound cake is cheaper than what I just to get in Meijer or Kroger. As I went during the shop closing time I wrapped the shopping quickly. read more

I am writing to report a concerning incident that occurred at the Aldi location on Middlebelt Road near I-96 in Livonia earlier today. After completing my purchases through a cashier (not the self-checkout), I returned to my car in the parking lot. Shortly afterward, the store manager approached my vehicle and took a photograph of both me and my license plate without explanation or consent. This action was unexpected and made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. I then went back into the store to ask for an explanation. The manager informed me that I had been mistaken for someone else and that I was "the wrong person." While I understand that errors can happen, the way this situation was handled--particularly photographing me in the parking lot--was inappropriate and distressing. I would like clarification on Aldi's policies regarding photographing customers, as well as reassurance that this type of incident will be addressed to prevent it from happening to others. read more

I love Aldi. This Aldi located in Redford, MI, is horrible. Christmas Eve. Crowded store. Only 2 lines are open. Every time I go only lines 3 and 5 are open. Every Time. The line is always down the aisle. Aldi is supposed to open more lines if there are more than 2 people in line. Never happens. Manager was working the register and is a complete asshole. Very passive aggressive. Even when you nicely ask him questions. I asked why this location only has 2 lines open with the line all the way to the back of the store. All he says is " Why do think? It's Christmas. I informed him that every time I visit this store it's like this. I asked him why he don't hire more people and how much Aldi pays because my nephews are looking for jobs. He said they only hire via internships. I told him I wasn't shopping at this location again because you have to wait so long in line. His response was 'I'm sure we will survive'. And they will. But if enough people stop shopping there, he'll be out of a job. He was not nice in this conversation, very passive aggressive. I'm sure this is why this location don't have enough employees. Just this brief interaction with this manager (cashier) and I knew I would quit if he was my boss. A complete jerk. Go to any Aldi but this one. Worst experience every time. read more

I absolutely love Aldi for affordable food options! I prepare fresh food either every day or every other day and Aldi always has the best products for a great price. My most recent experience is with fresh cherries! They are so good! I recommend this location is always clean with good staff to assist! read more

My very first impression when walking into this Aldi store was thar the store was pretty messy. I was kinda disappointed to see many of the shelves not fully stocked. Furthermore, items were kinda everywhere and all over the place, making it a little bit difficult for customers to look for and find certain items. But with all that said, I do truly enjoy the products that Aldi offers, though. The products sold here are mostly those sold and distributed exclusively by Aldi, making the store a little bit more unique compared to other chain grocery stores such as Meijer or Kroger. I tend to focus on and buy those exclusive items when I'm shopping at Aldi. My absolute favorite from Aldi is the Simply Nature vanilla chip chewy granola bars. They are so good for breakfast or snacking. The Baker's Treat mini muffin variety was also pretty awesome - I really like the banana ones. The pricing seems to be a little lower at Aldi compared to other chain grocery stores, but I'm not too sure. Even though this Aldi doesn't provide me with an an ideal shipping experience, I will most likely still visit this store and shop here because I just really like Aldi products. read more

Great prices, good selection of products. However, the weight of my rating lies with the produce section. There was a case of broccoli that was clearly picked through, one package was ripped open with the contents on the bottom of the case, and every single head of broccoli left had mold on it. I set aside a head of broccoli that was actually covered in mold. The presence of mold on the broccoli doesn't only contaminate the case of broccoli, it contaminates ALL SURROUNDING PRODUCE!!!!! This was a very disgusting discovery that displays lack of food safety understanding and application and laziness. Stop stacking new produce on top of the old produce. read more

I recently discovered Aldi, and like many of their products. A couple things I'd like to see, but have never seen: 1) BOXED non-refrigerated) plant-based milk, e.g. almond, soy, oat. 2) PECANS. Aldi is amazing!! I have started going to this location over the summer. The prices are unbeatable!! Other grocery stores prices seem to be going up. Its unreal the cost of some items now. I am always super satisfied with the selection they have and the prices. I have switched and I am going to continue to come here. I have had Awful experiences at other grocery stores recently with expired food or things going bad before the date listed. Once on my most recent shopping trip I found that I really didn't like this dip I purchased. I took it back and they were able to exchange it for something else for me. Other grocery stores aren't even doing exchanges or refunds or anything right now so I am glad they are able to accommodate their customers at a time like this. Also these workers are some of the nicest you will find. Need an item? Just ask. Most of the time they will walk you to it. Not just point in a direction. They are super helpful and nice. They don't have any self check outs so they do all the work for u, you just have to bag yourself. Also they allow reusable grocery bags which alot of places are not allowing right now.. Their staff moves fast thorough the check out line so you aren't standing there for 25 mins waiting. Love Aldi for groceries! read more

Have you been to Aldi lately? I used to go for only select items, needing only my small recyable shopping bag. Now, O have to use a cart!! You have to deposit a quarter to get a cart which puts people off - but hey! Keeps their carts in order and not sliding all over the parking lot into your car. Thue are increasingly improved their product offerings. This store is in Redford, but the others are the same. Now carry really nice aged cheddars, goat cheese, swiss, at reasonable prices not the $6 plus per pound that is charged elsewhere. And now have organic produce! And I love their frozen fruit for smoothies. Te greek yogurt comes in great flavors like pomegranate, blood orange, pear. Eggs are Michigan eggs, no growth hormones. I now buy more here than Trader Joe's ( same ownership), but still need to do wine runs to Trader Joe's. Check out Aldi's and remember to take bags with you! read more

You would think a nice remodel of your favorite store would be a pleasant experience... But this store seems to have gone downhill ever since then... This used to be my favorite aldi location... Now, they never seem to have anything they advertise for the week stocked... They never have basics in stock, or maybe they just don't put them on the shelves... and if you ask, you seem to be bothering them with your inquiries...I still love the aldi stores as a whole, but this location, in particular, needs to return to their former glory. read more

Love Aldi. This location is not too busy and has all the usuals. Usually save about $40 every time we shop here.

I like this place. Shelves are well stocked. Employees are ok. Not super friendly, but in no way mean or rude. Just meh. The security guards do more texting and chatting up women than doing any sort of security. I still go back and the prices are good. read more

Wife and I made our first visit to this Aldi today, and we were really impressed! From when you first pull into the parking lot, plenty of room and the store has a clean look outside. It had a nice open atmosphere inside, more spacious aisles, better lighting compared to others we have shopped. Customers and our cashier were polite and the overall atmosphere, brightness and cleanliness was better than the one on Telegraph and the one on Wayne Rd. in Westland. read more
