The wine selection is solid, and the overall quality of products is consistently excellent. I do almost all of my grocery shopping here and have a great experience every single time. The store is super clean, bright, and well organized, with a welcoming ambiance that fits right into the Highland Park vibe. Even when it's packed, the checkout lanes move as fast as humanly possible, and the staff are always friendly, upbeat, and genuinely fun to talk to -- they really represent the community well. The prices are completely unmatched. Truly the lowest and best I can find anywhere. Anyone saying otherwise just does not understand how the economy works, LOL. I do miss the self-checkout (especially when I'm just grabbing a couple of items and there's only one cashier), and I wish it stayed a bit better stocked at times -- but even with that, this store is still top-tier. They usually have an entire cooler full of "just about to expire" lunch meat that has become a fixture in the store. Other locals in the area always joke about the nearly expired lunch meat deals they are always running when the word 'Fresh' is in the name. The cashier's are hit and miss. There are a few that are very pleasant and helpful, but most of the kids working here are just waiting for the opportunity to drop a gallon of milk on your loaf of bread. Also, on numerous occasions I have seen management berate their employees in the middle of the aisles in front of customers, very unprofessional. I usually end up shopping here because either I'm too tired to go anywhere else or I'm afraid I'll end up at Meijer and drift out of the food side and into the merchandise and come home with new board games, pillow cases, a kleenex box holder, a kitten calendar, and no food.

My only complaint is that the yams were very very stringy. Because i stayed 30 minutes from the location I could not drive back right away. As it sounds, CBC is for businesses so they're selling everything from commercial appliances (I was eyeing that meat slicer) to halloween candy. They also had some different variety pack options. I was surprised to see that they did have a fridge and frozen section - with some familiar items but also giant TUBS of Nestle Toll House cookie dough. It was fairly quiet and very clean. I mostly saw Costco employees who were picking and packing shipping orders on giant cards. So, no food court, no clothing, no books or alcohol, but megaaa bulk everything else! Love it.
