WinCo Foods - Perfect for lunch!

No, wait-- Oh, WinCo Corporate suits in your ivory tower…read more(probably munching on gourmet artisanal pizzas delivered from some hipster joint), congratulations on yet another brilliant decision that's sure to "streamline" things right into oblivion. I rolled in this weekend, hyped for my ritual football pizza haul--custom-loaded beauties exactly how I like 'em, with that killer garlic sauce and maybe a cult-classic Hawaiian for good measure. What do I get? Mild shock? Try full-blown betrayal. The entire pizza section? Demolished. Custom orders? Gone. Those awesome grinder sandwiches? Vanished like they never existed. Now it's just sad, pre-made frozen hockey pucks thawed out by two employees whose thrilling job is... pulling boxes from the freezer and slapping 'em in the oven. No unbaked take-home option anymore--because why give customers choices when you can force-feed us mediocrity? Zero customization, zero flavor, toppings so mysterious I couldn't tell if it was pepperoni or cardboard. And that excellent garlic sauce? Axed. Hawaiian? Eradicated, like it personally offended the boardroom. This tastes like the kind of "pizza" you'd approve in a shiny office meeting while ignoring every employee and customer screaming otherwise. You didn't ask us what we wanted--you McDonald 's-ified one of the last true gems in your stores. Shame on you, WinCo execs. You've turned a great deal into a total waste of money and time. I'll be taking my football feasts (and the rest of my grocery budget) elsewhere. Enjoy those cost savings while your deli slowly dies. What a wild, terrible, customer-hating change. Do better--or at least pretend to listen.

Located right off the 71 FWY and close to the 60 FWY also. Big parking lot…read more WinCo is an employee-stock-ownership grocery store that is open 24 hrs with a deli & bakery. I find everything I need here. Good meat selection. I like that they have ready-packed food items at the deli such as salads, sandwiches, mash/chicken bowls, pizza, and so much more. Perfect lunch items. They also have good specials on Rotisserie or Fried Chicken. Prices are affordable. You can use your debit card at checkout, but not credit cards FYI. The store is big, clean, organized, and fully stocked with fresh products. Employees that I've encountered are friendly and helpful. I've always had a good shopping experience at WinCo stores.

Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store

My wife and I were taking the backroads from Chino Hills back to Los Angeles when we stumbled…read moreacross the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store. This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

A great place if you need fresh fruits and vegetables. Today, we went for their Tomatozania Plant…read moreSale. We were interest in seeing what they had in store, since we've never stopped by before. We parks on the grass field and walked towards the vendors first. We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.
