We found items in the $2 bins for products we use and pay way more for when we order on Amazon. So I did grab those given the discount. The other bins are just hard to explore. Things are in shipping boxes or brown boxes without clear packaging on what the item is. They do have the Amazon sticker so you could scan that to find out but it's going to take time. Staff was friendly and answered our questions. They did have queen mattresses for $300 also.

You definitely HAVE to open boxes to inspect things because often it'll be something disgusting, broken, or missing pieces. Sundays there's pretty much nothing left. When it was $6 on Sunday it was worth a look but they just went back up to $8 for Sunday which is a big fat no. LOL. I find a ton of good stuff on Sunday at my other bin store and they are still $6. Saturdays are better there too at $10. Not sure I'll go back to hotbins again. The staff are not very friendly and sometimes a bit rude for no reason. They are very pleasant to their Spanish speaking friends or regulars but will just coldly stare at you if not and be short. Kind of feels like they don't want you there tbh.

We were able to buy the dryer with great discount. Apart from it, Hotbins is a great store to visit and buy different merchandise. This is antiquing and vintage shopping at its finest, with a combination of many local merchants selling their goods in different stalls throughout the large space. Because there are many merchants represented here, the pricing can be extraordinarily inexpensive in some stalls while a bit overpriced in others. But overall, the pricing is pretty fair. I love looking through each stall and finding little treasures you just can't find anywhere else. On this trip, I found what I was looking for - a milk glass pedestal bowl - but it was a little overpriced compared to the previous thrift shop I had seen it at, so I passed on it. But my favorite time to shop at the Mercantile is just before the holidays. They always have such lovely and unique gifts for my family and friends (and myself). The staff at the cash register are always so friendly and pleasant. And they make the experience even more delightful.
