This happened not long ago, that the woman working in the jewelry and accessory dept. was absolutely hacking so loudly it was startling. She coughed for a really long time and was not covering her mouth. I immediately left that area and just went to check out. I very quietly told the woman ringing me up that the coughing employee sounds really sick. The woman started almost berating me in a loud tone, that the employee has asthma and she would never come in to work sick. Ok, but how would anyone know that she's not sick and actually has asthma? Also, she's still spreading germs by coughing without covering her mouth. The cashier kept going on and on aggressively that I just walked out. I appreciate people sticking up for their team members, but this is a completely different circumstance.

World Market is such a beautiful store. I personally wouldn't invest in a couch from World Market because it's typically very expensive, and you can find similar items at other retailers. But they have unique accent chairs and small attractive furniture items. My favorite thing to get here, in addition to the chocolate, are the Christmas ornaments. They are so, so beautiful, and so unique. There is so much detail in each one. Now that it's after Christmas, they are all 50% off, making each one around $2.50 - $4.00. If you have a World Market in your area, I'd encourage you go and check them out. While some items are more expensive, the unique items, hard to find items and the nostalgic items are what it's worth stopping for.

We read the fine print regarding which items were excluded but since the aisle was disorganized, we weren't sure if it was truly part of the sale. I think they should keep all items that were on this particular sale promotion in one spot so it's easy to find; items not part of the sale should be separated. Yesterday I sold 1,000 Cleveland Indian cards to a guy in Salem, Ohio. I packed them both in a Post Office Flat Rate Box and I was surprised at how GD heavy those boxes were, so I decided to reinforce them both with some strapping tape I wrapped around the boxes in both directions. That greatly depleted what was left on the roll of tape. Which explains why we walked into this brand new Dollar General store in hopes of getting some new strapping tape at a decent price. Silly me ! A roll of that reinforced strapping tape was five and a half bucks.... at a Dollar Store! We saw similar sticker shock while walking through the grocery aisle and saw a normal sized jar of mayonnaise with a $5 price tag on it. The store is brand new, in excellent condition, with the usual array of grocery items, refrigerated and frozen foods, toys, games, household items, health and beauty aids, etc. We passed on the packing tape but did walk out with a few birthday cards and a bar of orange flavored dark chocolate. Watch your pricing carefully here, because the "Dollar Store" label can be misleading.
