This behavior made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, to the point that we decided to leave without completing our shopping. If she was worried we were stealing she could at least be less obvious about it. I hope management addresses this situation so that all customers are treated with respect and made to feel welcome in the future.

No. They do it to convenience you. I have experienced it. Further, I had an armload of stuff yesterday. A staff member kindly brought me a basket b/c she saw it was a bit of too much to carry. On my most recent trip, I purchased the peach rings with tajin, mango chili taffy, fat free coffee flavoring, supplements, and home decor. I noticed that the aisles were really cramped especially walking through with a cart; it will not fit two carts so if there is another person in the aisle, there might be a cart accident lol. Cashiers has been pretty friendly so far. This is the closest HG to me so I'll be frequenting it.

Somewhere in size between The Strand and a local bookstore, this is a well-stocked Big Box full of books, vinyl, and gifts. There's no coffee bar in this location as was in the prior store, but you're in West Farms Mall and won't have trouble finding a hot or cold beverage nearby. Being in the mall there's higher traffic than the prior location but it's pleasant all the same being able to get out and touch pages instead of waiting for Amazon boxes or hoping they don't disappear. There's a chance you can what you need same day but if not, the B & N webpage might have a local alternative (or just pre-order). A few familiar faces from the previous location are here, as are friendly new faces. Rewards discounts are free to sign up for and keep us returning. Prices are not much above Amazon, if at all. The store's clean, and it's good to have books back in the mall.

That is always my favorite "excuse" for picking up a stack of books I have been eyeing. They also have a very large section of toys and puzzles next to the cafe area.
