The price of $1.25 is still extremely reasonable and costs less than other stores' prices. Categories of products include holiday and party decorations, plasticware, food, school and office supplies, health and beauty products, toys, and cleaning products. For several years, I have been visiting this location to stock up on mostly hygiene products (e.g., hand soap, hair conditioner, and toothbrushes) and cleaning products (e.g., bleach and dish soap). I feel happy that I find many products that are made in the U.S. and Canada and are high-quality name brands such as Arm & Hammer, Colgate, and Suave. In the checkout lines, I seldomly have to wait for long, and the cashiers are nice and competent. During my most recent visit, I went on a shopping spree, and I spent a total of $29.

I saw fans, heaters, books, rugs, foods and beverages, dish detergents, air fryers, pet toys, clothing, hair shampoos and conditioners, home decor, mattresses, vacuums, office supplies, and many other types of products. I had expected lower prices. I thought that the prices were average and not steeply discounted. Nonetheless, I chose a package of three name-brand scissors for $6, and my husband chose a package of candies for about $4. At the checkout, the cashier greeted us, accurately rang up our purchase, thanked us, and told us to have a good day.

He bought me some DG Stomach Relief which is comparable to Pepto Bismo. After I used some I noticed the exploration date was at the end of October 2019. I received the package in November. It had already expired. He sent me two bags of Clover Valley buttered popcorn. I looked at the exploration date and that had expired in the middle of August 2019. I called the 800 number listed on their products. They use a third party service to receive the calls. Of course the operators were outsourced from a different country. I am still waiting for a response from Dollar General. Two days later I looked at the package of string cheese that was sent to me. Of course. It had expired in the middle of September. I was angry at this store and the company of having its staff doing a terrible job of checking date codes routinely. This certainly makes me never want to shop at any of the stores. If you do shop in the store, do yourself a favor and check date codes on all food and medication products.
