The price of $1.25 is still extremely reasonable and costs less than other stores' prices. Categories of products include holiday and party decorations, plasticware, food, school and office supplies, health and beauty products, toys, and cleaning products. For several years, I have been visiting this location to stock up on mostly hygiene products (e.g., hand soap, hair conditioner, and toothbrushes) and cleaning products (e.g., bleach and dish soap). I feel happy that I find many products that are made in the U.S. and Canada and are high-quality name brands such as Arm & Hammer, Colgate, and Suave. In the checkout lines, I seldomly have to wait for long, and the cashiers are nice and competent. During my most recent visit, I went on a shopping spree, and I spent a total of $29.

I had expected lower prices. I thought that the prices were average and not steeply discounted. Nonetheless, I chose a package of three name-brand scissors for $6, and my husband chose a package of candies for about $4. At the checkout, the cashier greeted us, accurately rang up our purchase, thanked us, and told us to have a good day.

I called the 800 number listed on their products. They use a third party service to receive the calls. Of course the operators were outsourced from a different country. I am still waiting for a response from Dollar General. Two days later I looked at the package of string cheese that was sent to me. Of course. It had expired in the middle of September. I was angry at this store and the company of having its staff doing a terrible job of checking date codes routinely. This certainly makes me never want to shop at any of the stores. If you do shop in the store, do yourself a favor and check date codes on all food and medication products.

I noticed that the shelves were stocked pretty well, but sometimes merchandise was on the floors in the aisles. Products were often name-brand, such as General Mills, Arm and Hammer, Tidy Cats, Maybelline, and Crest. Prices were fairly low, and I picked several quality products to buy. The customer service was very good. When I was standing near the cash registers, an employee noticed me, and he offered to open another register for me. He politely greeted me, accurately rang up my purchase, and thanked me and wished me a good day.
