The concept of the store is everything costs $5 or less. At least it used to be. Something I noticed through the years is that they are offering more and more items over $5, especially tech, more elaborate holiday decorations, and room decor. They now have a room in the back of the store where some of the items are as high as $25. Their inventory is mainly marketed to kids and teens. Expect to see a lot of nods to pop culture. If you have a young person in your life then you are probably well acquainted with this discount chain. Departments include seasonal decorations, tech, work out, play, beauty, and snacks. You can't beat their $5 t-shirts and I always find myself drawn to the snack aisle. When my daughter was younger I would shop for inexpensive birthday party presents, stocking stuffers, and cheap room decor. They keep the prices low and their inventory changed from week to week. I've dropped off bags a few times and I've found some nice crystal vases while looking around. They really care for the poor in the area as they have a food bank on Friday's. They give free bread at the thrift shop on Saturday. Then they have a service on Sunday where they have a meal together and invite the homeless to join them.
