The kind cashier phoned another Dollar General to see if they had any in stock for me. I am always just taken aback how everyone who works here goes out of their way for the customers. The staff is great. The owner....ok. For a customer who is in there all the time, you would expect a more friendly approach. While very professional, most of the time she gives a cold reception as if she doesn't need my business. Oh and she seems annoyed when you use your Hallmark coupons and makes up reasons why you can't use them. Other stores honor them-no problem! I have noticed this behavior with other customers as well. I know Hallmarks are a dime a dozen but this one is quite convenient. However, I think I'll start spending my money where it's appreciated!

It's a half hour from where I live in NJ and I've got two Hallmark type stores much nearer and I only go to Lynne's and stock up when I do. Hallmark coupons are only okay to use on specific merchandise. You should call Hallmark if you want to complain about how you can use them. Lynne is probably only following their dictates. Further, she offers a tremendous deal with ornaments that you can't get at any other Hallmark I know of. Buy 6, the next one is free. She certainly should not take a hit with accepting a coupon when she's offering free merchandise like that. You seriously do her a dishonor. This is a great shop.

I made an online order with extra payment for delivery, and although the customer service over the…read morephone with this location was smooth, the female associate I confirmed my sofa pickup, poached me to use the delivery company they work with, T&M Trucking, and these people completely screwed me over. T&M female customer service was completely inaccurate. I explicitly told her it's 3rd floor but steps on each flight is just a couple steps. She quoted me $100 for delivery 12/31. This unprofessional guy showed up with his daughter or something, told us we needed to pay $140+ because of the stairs. We only had $100 cash, and told him the lady told me $100. He called the lady for her to tell me what she thought our conversation was... as if to solidify that was correct? He acted all tough and so ghetto and we didn't want any problems so my husband told him he'd need to go to ATM after. This guy and this little girl hoists the sofa up, and then tells us they can't fit the couch in. I told my husband to make sure they try the most optimal angle. and I over hear him on the phone telling my husband that he already knows what I am saying and he knows better. He then hurries my husband and tell him it's NYE and he's not even supposed to be working and he has a long drive. How is that our problem that you decided to work and drive long on NYE? He told us he'd leave the couch outside for $100 flat or he can take it back to the store but still pay him the $140+. He insinuated he's doing us a favor and that he's losing out. And my husband rightfully told him that isn't the case because he's getting $140+ while we don't get any services rendered/no couch. He was very aggressive towards my husband. My husband told him he needs to go to ATM, and the guy told him he will follow him to the bank with his truck because he doesn't know what stunt my husband would pull on him. A week later, I come back home, and we bought the same couch from a different Big Lot's location... guess what? We were able to maneuver the couch inside the home ourselves, just with logic, physics, and common sense. This was the most unprofessional ghetto conversation we've ever had from any servicing or trucking company.
