Though the last time I was there I had a less than desirable experience. While I was looking around I saw a cup of pens that had a plastic lid and while there was plenty available, like 10+, all of the lids were broken. This wasn't the only product that had multiple broken on the shelf and they were scattered across the shelves too. When I went to check out, I saw they only had self service check outs, which I prefer because I like avoiding the social situation as an individual with social anxiety, but there was an employee that was doing it all for you and working with like 3 customers at once. She'd take items out of your hand forcefully to scan it even though you were in the process, and overall it was really rude. At the very end, the screen asked me if I wanted a printed or emailed receipt, then it gave me an option to pick the amount of stars to rate the cleanliness of the store. I picked two stars. I don't think it was very clean to have broken plastic shards around a store that often has children in it. It's not glass, but it can absolutely be a safety hazard. The woman saw me press two star and she started yelling "NO YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HIT FULL STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE." I kindly explained to her that it wasn't about customer service, it asked for store cleanliness and she insisted I was wrong. I told her I'd be happy to go online and answer whatever survey they have for customer service on the receipt and I tried looking for it. She replied in the most condescending tone "that was the survey you just answered incorrectly." I again explained it was asking for the cleanliness of the store and she insisted again I was wrong. This was only 7/16/25 at about 11:30am. Honestly, after that, I'll stick to the Lancaster store.

On a recent trip through the Palmdale area I realized I'd forgotten to pack my glasses; now this might not seem like a big deal, but I can't read texts or email or navigate using the GPS on my iphone without it and I was planning to be out of town for an entire weekend so it was going to become very inconvenient eventually. It's probably a little known fact, but you can pick up some pretty cute reading glasses here for only $.99. They work just as well as the ones that cost $10-$15 at a drug store but at a mere fraction of the cost. I picked up several pairs in case I lost one. The 99 Cent Only store also carries quite a few name brand candies and snacks such as Skittles, M&Ms, Spree, Hot Tamales, Lemonheads, Good & Plenty, Mike & Ike, Baby Ruth, Sugar Baby and more so it occurred to me I might need some road snacks. They also have a refrigerated case full of plastic bottles of cold soda. The same size bottle that will usually cost me $1.75 to buy cold at convenience stores. Pretty good deal, eh? This is also a great place to pick up toiletries such as shampoo, hand lotion, toothpaste, mouthwash, nearly anything you've forgotten to pack for your trip. Planning a party? You can find paper plates and cups, plastic forks, balloons, decorations, cards, gift bags, wrapping supplies, you name it. Pet supplies? Yep. Baby supplies? You betcha. The cleaning supplies section is well stocked with everything you need to clean everything in your house. Setting up your first apartment on your own or furnishing a dorm room? You can find real plates, bowls, dishes, silverware, kitchen gadgets and more. The 99 Cent Only store also carries food, canned, boxed, refrigerated, and even fresh produce. This store, however, had an entire section that was a first for me - a Gourmet & Organic Foods section. I kid you not. I even took a picture of it since I knew my friends would never believe me. So if you're trying to make your budget stretch just a little bit farther, try visiting the 99 Cent Only store and see what you can pick up on the cheap! On a side note, the people here are very friendly. I stopped to change the bulb on one of my headlights while I was in the parking lot and a gentleman in the car next to me came over and offered to help. Now, I'm an independent kind of gal and didn't actually need the help, but he offered so nicely who was I to refuse. Even the transient who walked up and asked for money did so ever so politely and maintained a respectful distance as he asked (you don't just walk right up on a single female alone in a parking lot) so I just had to give him some money. Friendly place, this parking lot.

I am impressed that the store is fully stocked. Just the setback is that they only have 2 registers. So the line was very long. The sales associate who rang me isapologetic and helpful though. WOrST costco i've been to EVER. It's almost comical as it was a chain reaction of bad things:…read more - major line to order food. First machine was stuck and broken. 2nd one didn't take my card (that i use everywhere). 3rd worked. - i then moved to the pick up lime for food. After 15 min of waiting, the line was closed and we had to merge int another one. When i finally got to the counter like 30 min in, they told me they didn't have cheese pizza. Jokes on me because i've been vegetarian 36 years.. so i had to wait for it (another 25 minutes!!!!!) but then i asked for water and the guy gave me a non cold bottle. I asked if they had cold, they didn't. He gave me a cup so i could get ice, which was nice.. i went to first soda machine for ice: NO ICE. I went to 2nd one: : NO ICE. I went to third one: NO ICE. Lol.. and 25 minutes in, I finally got my slice of cheese after Fighting them and reminding them!

I haven't been here for years, but I went last weekend, while we were in town. This is hands down…read moremy favorite B&BW location. The staff are helpful but not overbearing and actually know what scents are in each item. (I had someone at my now local B&BW tell me I "Could look it up on the website"). They also added a discount for me manually that had not popped up in my email and offered free plastic wrapping bags with bows if they were gifts. The manager of the store was also training a new employee and she was being very gracious and explaining how to deal with customers. This small location is top notch!
