I've been shopping at this store for over 10 years, and this time the new cashier, Jeremias (a new employee), was very rude because I left my shopping basket next to the register, and he refused to wrap a glass item I bought. It's a shame that an employee with so little motivation and such a bad attitude is damaging the image of a business that has been operating for years. Employees like that should look for another job after harming the company; if he doesn't like his job, he should give someone else the opportunity. This is an average size Dollar Tree. It was well stocked. A tad messy in areas but as far as Dollar stores go, it was organized. The store was a buzz. The parking lot pretty full. You'll find a spot but it might not be as close to the door as you'd like. The cashier was robotic. Not a problem. Prefer robotic (kind of like self check-out) to bad attitude. I have always been a fan of Dollar Tree. Since my time in college over a decade ago. They do not lure you in with claims of being a dollar store to only find out that once you are in the store, only certain items are a dollar. Dollar Tree is the real deal. EVERYTHING is a dollar! I decided to write a review on Dollar Tree for this particular location because of the pleasant and serene experience I had while visiting on July 4th. Considering the day, you would think that this location would have been packed with people scurrying around for items, but it was actually quite peaceful. The place had customers but everyone was minding their own. The store itself is pretty big, with enough space between each aisle to allow more than one customer to be lingering around browsing each aisle's items. It is clean and you can tell the staff makes sure to keep it consistently organized. Their inventory is also very robust, with plenty of items ranging from kitchen utensils, party decorations, bath products and lots of summer gear! What a great little Dollar store -- a TRUE dollar store, so go ahead and splurge without feeling guilt, it won't kill your wallet. There is parking galore, the store is spacious, has tons of party and holiday decorations, and on my visit, there were hardly any people, so no long lines or squeezing through narrow aisles while getting hit in the back of the ankle by a cart-pushing zombie. The store is somewhat hidden, so it makes you feel as if you have discovered a secret treasure in a somewhat abandoned strip mall, now that the Intracoastal movie theater, which was one of its main attractions, is gone. The question is, do you want to share the secret with others? Their snack aisle is pretty impressive, as other dollar stores I have been to don't seem to carry as many snack options (if you like cookies, there are at least 5 or 6 flavors/options, or even fig newtons). I also found a wider selection of cleaning products than at my usual store and decided to stock up. Car supplies, batteries, light bulbs, sunglasses, toys...you can find it all here. I believe their brands are better than the ones at my usual store, as they have Suave products too, and a generic version of Axe shower gel, which I have never seen at my usual store. Speaking of my usual store, I always drove to the Dollar Bills (another dollar store brand) whenever I was anywhere near Pinecrest or Kendall, because I knew everything there was $1 (even if it was somewhat inconvenient for me), but now that I know about this location, I will probably make this my dollar store of choice whenever I am up in this area, which is often, because of Wal-Mart, Aventura's AMC theater, or the many dining options. Like a junkie craving another fix, I will need to try to exercise some self-control as I walked out having spent $20 when my intention was to only spend about $5! So I came in to buy some seasonal items and when I was done I asked for my receipt. acording them I pressed that I didn't want the receipt. I tried to explain to the lady at the register that I didn't mean to press that button I didn't notice that it asked me yes or no so I asked her if she could print me out a receipt and because she didn't speak any English it was difficult for her to understand what I was saying so I just asked her to just return all the items then she told me she couldn't except the items as a return I asked why and she told me that it was against policy she told me to read the policy right next to the credit card machine and on the credit card machine it's stated clearly we except all items on opened so I told her that she's wrong that the policy says she can except the items to be returned she went back-and-forth with me until she asked me if I wanted to call her manager and I told her yes to call her manager and if I would've not said to call her manager I would've ended up with items that I at the end of the whole thing I didn't really want anymore Long story short, after speaking to the manager I got my money back and won't be going back I really didn't apprehensive attitude read more

This location is absolutely North Miami Beach's best kept secret. I come here when I need a few household items but don't feel like shelling out the $100 minimum I end up spending when I go to Target. First off, it's well organized, clean, and the employees are friendly. There is a line sometimes, but the manager will usually open a new register if there is. The clientele is usually retired folks, people shopping for party goods, college students, young professionals. I've seen adults with children at this location but not often. Secondly, Dollar Tree has some of those odds and ends you need at home (lightbulbs, batteries, paper towels, bottled water, a bottle brush, ziplock type bags) and most of those items it does not matter if they are brand name or generic. Some of the items are not the same quality (perhaps their dishwasher detergent doesn't clean as well as your favorite name brand, so you just have to be aware) but you can take a chance on it (hey everything is only .99!) or just make a note of what things you're willing to cut corners on. For me, batteries and lightbulbs are something I need to keep stock of at home but I hate paying a lot of money for them. Why spend twice as much at Target for essentially the same items? So I come here. There are a few areas that are simply the bargain-hunter/smart shopper's jackpot. This place is absolutely a goldmine for party supplies. They have a lot of birthday, children's, wedding, baby shower and bridal shower themed gift bags, plastic utensils, paper plates and napkins, banners, etc. In addition they have some general "party" type items that you can find a use for- solid colored partyware, wrapping paper, tissue paper, crinkle paper to stuff gift bags. They have a small section of kids' goody bag type toys. They have a small card section but they are pretty cheesy/dated looking. Use the money you saved here to get a nice Hallmark card! They have a small food selection. Never fear- the stock is rotated often and have current expiration dates. You won't be able to stock a full pantry here but they have some items that can supplement your usual grocery shopping such as dried beans, pasta, bags of rice. Boxed sides such as Tuna Helper, Chicken Helper, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes. Generic brand spices, Domino sugar, powdered coffee creamer, honey. Small selection of juices, powdered punch/lemonade mix. They even have hard shell corn tostadas as well as flour tortillas. There are some odds and ends once in awhile and some generic offerings such as powdered gravy, cookies and crackers. There is an entire aisle of chips/snacks (pretzels, potato chips, beef jerky, popcorn) and candy (lots of "Movie Theater" sized packages). I definitely stock up on bottled water- 99 cents for 6 bottles of Crystal Geyser (they sell it in flats too). Another secret is the holiday offerings. Right now they have a TON of Easter items- all sorts of candies, chocolate bunnies, little toys to put into Easter baskets, silk flowers, serving trays shaped like Easter Eggs, egg coloring kits....they have it all. I've been here around other holidays such as Chrismas, New Year's, Valentine's. Gone are the days where these bargain stores sold expired candy, stale chocolates and last year's "Happy New Year's" hats. These stores have gotten smarter- they buy goods that aren't selling or are a surplus from other convenience, drugstores and supermarkets. Honestly the candies that they are selling right now are the same that you find at Target or Walgreens and at .99, they taste even better! I bought a lot of wrapping/bows here around the holidays for gifts- saved a ton, and they looked just as nice as wrapping from other stores. My second treasure trove is the cleaning supplies section. They carry it all- glass cleaner, Comet, toilet bowl cleaner, air freshener, tub/tile cleaner, kitchen cleaner, "pine sol", floor cleaners. This place saved me a fortune when I was moving into a new place and needed supplies but was still smarting from paying the hefty deposit! They don't have the greatest paper supplies (toilet paper, paper towels) but if you're in a pinch they will do. The section that is pretty weak (I've been to other Dollar Tree and 99 Cent Only stores) is the beauty, personal care, first aid sections. Most if not all of the brands of soaps, shampoos, etc are generic (no hidden bargains here). They have a tiny baby care section of creams and care items but again those are generics and don't appear to be the same quality as other brands, so parents may steer clear of those. On a sidenote, I got a baby bottle brush that works wonders on my wine glasses, so don't overlook all of them! I simply love grabbing a basket, walking up and down each aisle and finding random things I didn't know I needed (extension cords, plain white candles, a pizza pan). I usually get a basket full of stuff, and when you go to the checkout you positively feel like a millionaire! read more

The first time I took my gf here, she complained that there weren't prices on everything. Silly girlfriend!! After I stopped laughing, she explained that a lot of $1 stores advertise being a $1 but some of the nicer items cost more. Well, this isn't that type of $1 store. Dollar Tree is the cream of the crop and this particular location is excellent. It's always clean and any time the register line starts to build up, they are quick to open a new register. Well such a different perspective today. We went to the store at around 3 pm to get couple things and honestly not a problem until we got the cashiers. Of course just one open and a line of 5+ people. In front of me some lady older that 55 years old for sure asking very kindly if someone spoke Spanish at what the cashier a girl in her rely twenties replied in a very rude manner "no, no one speaks Spanish here", something absolutely not true cause someone in the store helped me earlier and spoke some spanish. I knew the older lady who was also disabled as well cause she had a hearing thing, needed some help so my mom told her that I could help her translating. She only wanted to know how some of the things that she was purchasing worked. The cashier was extremely rude, not patience at all. The lady was slow and I totally understand she was older but this cashier was the rudest person with her. Listen: if you don't like your job then QUIT! But stop being miserable and making everyone else around you miserable. There's nothing better than shopping and we get this amazing experience at this amazing store all ruined because the employees that you hire hate their jobs. Please provide them with some hospitality and customer service skills, is not just about putting numbers on a register and handing out a receipt is about making us feel the expedience of the dollar tree! read more

This is one of the smaller stores I've been to (no frozen food/ large grocery isle). This store focuses more on house hold/ party/ seasonal items. They are limited in their stationery/ arts & crafts/ beauty department. However, they always have the hard to find items -- you just need to be there at the right time. They stock-up towards the middle of the week, so I recommend going towards the end of your week for fully stocked & organized shelves. I also find that customer service is better at night. read more
