Selection was good. Lots of household cleaning products and basics; but I enjoyed the cosmetics and seasonal items. Sadly, service was rude. You can get up to $50 cash for $1.25 service fee - but they gave me a $50 bill. When I asked them to test it with the counterfeit marker, suddenly no-one spoke English. Hadn't ever been to this dollar tree before, but we were in the neighborhood and we needed a couple things. This store was set up a bit different from the others we usually shop at... that is, the stock of certain items was in a completely different location than we were used to. So that meant we had to walk around a bit more. That's not a bad thing -- who doesn't need a bit more exercise these days?! We needed a couple greeting cards -- and they have $1 ones (of course) but also 2 cards for a dollar here. That's one of the reasons we shop these stores. As usual, however, we always find at least a couple other things to buy that we don't really need but.., you know how that goes. This store was also different in that most of the front of it is covered -- that is there aren't large glass display window in front. I don't know if that's just the building design or the neighborhood. There were a couple rummies sitting on the sidewalk out front. Luckily, they were just resting and not panhandling or bothering anyone. The parking lot was quite full out front. But we waited and lucked out finding a spot. read more

Stock is consistently low . Twice 3 weeks I have walked out of the store leaving a full cart. I cash open. You need extra help at the cash . Stop wasting my time and every else's . The stuff I and others left still has to be put away . That's one less person available. read more

A cashier named Ada was so awful to me. I love Dollar Tree, it's my number one go to but I will never return to this location. On May 6, 2024, 10:48 am, I purchased 30 items. The majority were glass home decor items. The cashier, Ada, started slamming as many as possible in bags. I asked her if she could put less in a bag because I was afraid they were going to be scratched or broken. Many were frosted, colored glass which scrapes off. She didn't even acknowledge what I said and continued what she was doing. I didn't say anything else because she was being so dismissive and hateful. Once I paid, I asked if I could have some extra bags so I could wrap the items. She yelled at me and said One moment!, in Spanish, and started doing it herself. All the while she was spewing something in Spanish which I perceived as absolute complaining and derogatory things about me. I was so appalled and shocked that this even happened. I was shaking and embarrassed. I was so happy to find the items I wanted and then was treated so badly. Never again Ada. I'm sorry you are so miserable that you cannot even perform your job. read more

Christina, young black lady with glasses( I'm posting a description hoping management reads this) was my cashier. She aggued with me about inserting my card, because I only asked her did she get everything. She repeated "I TOLD YOU TO INSERT THE CARD!" I was going to let this go, but when I said I didn't hear you the first time, she replied, " It's not my fault you're hard of hearing" Little does she know...I only have one eardrum. I really am hard of hearing. Christina is a rude, insensitive cashier who should not be representing Dollar Tree. This happened 4/22/2019 about 12:45pm. I will be back at that store. I've been going there since 2015. Hopefully Christina will be gone. read more

I love dollar store, but unfortunately the customer service at this store not as good as it should be . They do get a lot of elderly people but they don't have patience with them. I had to see the way an employee was getting frustrated explaining something to a customer , she couldn't understand and this employee was so frustrated that rolled her eyes on her , told her to wait and told her coworker (loud enough that everyone heard) that she couldn't anymore with this customer , that she was want to damn to understand her . This Dollar Tree is supermarket style, offering food stuffs as well as the usual DT goods. Parking can be a little tight, but it's to be expected for this area. Need a few cashiers at the register, but hey...we're only paying $1 right? read more

I went to The Dollar Tree at 917 Hallandale Bch Blvd., Hallandale, Fl 33009 and was treated with hostility all because I asked an employee a simple question about a purchase. She didn't respond so I asked her in Spanish if she spoke English. She still did not give a response, so I simply stated to myself, how can you get a job in a country and don't speak the language. Then out of the blue some chick who was transgender jumped all over me and ask that I leave the store. We live in America and have a right to free speech. It wasn't anything derogatory that I said to the non-English speaking person. I asked her a simple question she didn't respond, so therefore any comment that I made after that was to myself and there was no reason for anyone outside of the conversation to interject. If they didn't hire so many illegals at that store, then she wouldn't have been so sensitive to my conversation with someone else. There was no reason for the other person to even have been involved because I wasn't even speaking to that person. read more

Today was the worse day at this location with a cashier name "georgette " who decided to take the costumer in back of us that was in line not one but two with out asking us if it's ok , it could have been fine with us! But she didn't like that we mention it to her and been loud and apparently her boyfriend standing next to her which jumps in the conversation and saying this is American that they can and do what ever the hell they want, they really try to pick up fights using other customer as witnesses who doesn't want any part of it , this woman "cashier" should not be working in public with costumer or in any costumer service areas . read more

I'm here quite a bit it's usually.pretty easy and quick to get in and out shelves are always stocked and organized ... for the most part.

While clean and otherwise organized, management can work a little harder. The day before a holiday 2 out of 4 registers were open. Only after asking the cashier to call someone else did THREE employees walk out of the office. Of course one was a trainee and they decided it was a good idea 1) to train her during a rush... AND 2) to blame a customer for holding up a line! read more
