Opened in 1975, the Bargain Box is the oldest church mission thrift store in Naples, Florida…read more Almost 50 years strong, the store is run by volunteers from Naples United Church of Christ. Donated items are given to individuals and families in the community in need and profits are distributed through the church charities. To date they have donated more than $1 million to charities that provide human services locally and globally. They have also partnered with 30 local Collier County charities including Neighborhood Health Clinic, Healthcare Network of SW Florida, Meals of Hope, Baby Basics, Echo, Dental Outreach, Grace Place, Literacy Volunteers, and Habitat for Humanity. I was pleasantly surprised to see the store was much larger than I thought it would be from the outside. Several rooms are filled with gently used furniture, a ladies boutique with name brand and designer clothing, accessories, men's clothes, children's clothes, jewelry, art, holiday decorations, books, and more. Prices were great and I loved the selection of like new merchandise. The volunteers were so friendly. Furniture prices are negotiable and they were having an additional sale on select items. Hours are rather limited, they are only open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-3 so it makes it difficult to shop here if you have to work more traditional 9 to 5 weekday work hours. In any case I am glad that I finally got to stop in and support the great work that they do for this community.

You can't make this kind of incompetence up! LOL To make a long story short. The mgmt position my friend was interviewing for was already filled and had been for a few months. According to the lady who helped him in the store. What a horrible place Bealls is. I've heard countless stories about them posting fake job ads. It seems to be a common practice they use to get unwilling participants in the door to waste their time and hope they buy something they don't need. Why do you practice the art of deception? Why do you willingly waste people's time?

The other day I was shopping and a women next to me said she had been coming here for 12 years and she said the pricing is getting out of control. Very disappointing. I left the store and went to the Tamiami trail location by plant fitness. Items very similar to the other location had proper pricing for what it was. Thankfully, Family Dollar just down the road from me was open. It was obvious that I was not the only one that failed to follow through with their Thanksgiving duties.
