They had a plethora of whole and ground spices, fruits and vegetable that were in season, honey, Amish made items and so forth. This market is run by Amish women who were some of the nicest people I have ever met. The one thing that stuck out to me was how well stocked their baking section was. They had sheets of fondant, specialty sugars, cake decorations, icing..... that arent even carried by big grocery stores in Chicago. I would have had to order them from online. However, this store is a baker's dream. The prices are very fair and even cheaper than I expected. Maranatha market is a quaint country store that I would recommend to anyone in the area. I am so glad that the hotel staff recommended this place to me. The drive to the store was beautiful and the store staff were very welcoming. Recommendation- Buy the frozen pies! They are made by a Mennonite woman with a certified kitchen. I tried the Dutch Apple Pie and it was AMAZING!!!!!! The crust was to die for and the filling was perfect- not cloying, not too sweet, nor was it too heavy on spices. I feasted on that Apple Pie. They had other varieties of pies- Regular apple pies, berry pies and so on. This holiday season keep them in your freezer and stick them straight into the oven for an hour. Perfect for guests. If you live in the area, this is a nice place to frequent and support local small businesses. If you are a visitor to the area like I was, Maranatha Market is a must visit .

She said I had to buy $100 worth to get the gift card. When I got home I checked & the offer said I needed to purchase $50 of items to get the gift card. It's a bit of a mix between a hardware, farm, and sporting goods store, primarily, although they do also sell soft goods. In particular, I like the sporting goods area. I was looking for a certain item and was beyond impressed with the comprehensiveness of the hunting and fishing supplies and how reasonably priced. If I lived closer, I'd be here a lot since some of the items are far cheaper than I can get them where I live. In the sections of the store in which I did spend time, I noticed a sizeable amount of "made in america" items. Maybe it's only the sections of the store I was in, or maybe it's part of their buying process, but it was still nice to see those options. There was always an employee available when I had a question, and the checkout was as speedy as it could be. During several visits, I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes as nearly all the checkout lanes were open. If you need something quickly, something practical, and something with a lower price tag, stop here.

It's literally disgusting it's all burnt and soggy!! This is very unacceptable!!

Also, for a disabled person, the pharmacy and personal cares items are good, although they do tend to run out of distilled water for CPAP machines. The recent remerchandising of the store does mean longer shopping trips due to having to search for everything, but with familiarity, that will improve. A major complaint is bagged produce. Bags of potatoes, onions, apples, etc. always seem to have at least one rotten item in the bag. It's not a problem with individual produce items, but those are also more expensive.
