If there is something you want, e.g. fine food or finer clothes, then what you need may be within walking distance in downtown Wausau.

The staff was nice, but very unorganized. We stopped in to find a swimsuit for my 11 yr old. They had just unloaded a bunch of suits, but they were put out all over the place. We had trouble finding what we were looking for. Even when I asked for help, the employee didn't know where to begin to help, so we settled on a suit that wasn't her first choice, but at least the size was right!

They have these courtesy phones where you can page someone to come to the department to help you. Associates are expected to respond and show up in less than one minute (if I understand correctly). That always has been the case for me. It was no exception yesterday or today when I went to Target to buy a new cell phone and switch (from Tracfone) to Consumer Cellular. They did not have the phone that I wanted in Wausau so Alex called the Stevens Point store and made arrangements for me to go there & pick it up. Today I got the phone and Alex set it up for me. The only glitches were minor and he handled them very well. The main one has to do with the way Tracfone handles accounts when a person wants to keep their phone number. If Alex happens to see this he can show this to his boss when it comes time for a performance evaluation! Thank you Alex!

I asked her if she would get me a copy of Sam's Club bylaws as being a business member, I know that when I originally signed up or each year when I renew, there has never been any mention of having to be digital. She just told me to get them myself. Then when I got to the checkout, there was a very unprofessional 8 1/2 x 11 paper taped to the post that said "check or cash only". I mentioned that I have a business membership & that I have always paid with a credit card for tax purposes. She said I need to go to self checkout. I told her that I didn't care for self checkout as it makes me feel like they want my money but not have to deal with me. She just looked at me & wouldn't start checking me out so i said "I will pay with cash". when she had me all checked out, I just shoved my credit card into the terminal & it was accepted. she never said another word to me but had a very red face, she was upset!!!. To think of all the money I have spent there only to be treated like an animal, I will never go back. the road trip to Appleton to Cosco & Woodman's will be a relaxing trip knowing that I do not have to go back to Sam's Club. It carries a selection of clothing and accessories that seem to have something for most styles. It's not a low-end store by any means, but for the type of store it is, coupled with being a local shop, Isaac's is a must visit even if it's only to browse. The handbags, from Bagallini were a surprise, though. It's hard to find that brand outside a travel-oriented store. Somewhere along the way, the knowledgeable employees managed to direct me to the reason I actually stopped in: the Crabtree & Evelyn and Thymes fragrance lines. Surprisingly, they not only carried a full line, they also had the newer ones. There were some of the discontinued ones on clearance. That's always nice.
