The parking lot is huge. Donations can be dropped off in the rear of the store. The bad: The pricing-- Restore seems to try and charge retail price for each item regardless of condition. Restore will not "haggle" even if the item is damaged. This place would easily earn 4 or even 5 stars, but the pricing feels way out of line for their mission of building community and offering "prices well below retail". On a recent visit, there was a $10 Ikea chair tagged for $25 and several Walmart items with $1.00 tags still on them priced for 5 times as much.

It seemed like only half of the vendors were set up and prepared, and the weird buffet seemed very unorganized with not enough tables. I think for a little convention it did justice, however it was pretty much based around Star Wars and Star Trek. There are so many different types of Sci Fi shows/movies out there to explore. Anyway, I don't know if I'd honestly come back to this convention unless I know one of the voice actors. Again, I get it, it's not big like Otakon or Katsucon...however for a smaller convention, I'd expect it to still be just as diverse and probably MORE organized. Thankfully I got to get info from other conventions to check out.

I have met some really great guests and the con staff are great and very helpful. The dealers room is amazing with a very diverse product for sale. Then there's the auction room. I've picked up some cool stuff there. The workshops are all very interesting, entertaining, and educational on all levels. I drive 4 hours south to spend the whole weekend. We even stay till Monday morning so we don't miss anything. We then have a last night dinner at the restaurant. If your a Scifi/fantasy fan then your gonna love this con. There is also a great night life too. Karaoke Friday night, and then the dance on Saturday. Activities for kids, guests Q&A etc...

He then proceeded to give me a price which I felt was low almost 30% low. I did comparative search before I went there so I had some idea what they were worth. I mentioned that to the owner to which case he warned me about going on the Internet for pricing which was fine. At that point, he then starts yelling at me that I'm hiding out in the basement searching the Internet, which I then said thank you very much picked up my coins started to walk out. He was still ranting and raving at me then he noticed I was a volunteer firefighter. At that point, he accuse me of receiving my training for the fire department on the Internet. Just for the facts I have over 100 hours of certified training, not to mention all the calls I go on daytime/ nighttime in any kind of weather. Oh, by the way, I do this all is volunteer to help my neighbors and community out. I think the owner really needs to get some anger management classes. There was also two customers in his store at the time they both looked at me like they cannot believe what was happening.
