The Dollar Tree is not really this anyone - as most of us know they are priced at $1.25 and above. At times pricing isn't clear, but the store has a price scanner so that you can avoid surprises at their register. My latest favorites that keep me coming back - greeting cards and bags, beauty knock-offs such as facial serums and toners, and flavored or energy drinks. The store is currently stocking up on Christmas decorations. Over the weekend several people were emptying boxes to restock the shelves. Other than boxes waiting to be emptied, I'm impressed the shelves are organized. Years ago products would've been a mess and littering the floor. Friendly, fast service today. Plenty of parking in this shared shopping center. read more

We stopped in here at Dollar tree my daughter wanted to buy a few items. Store was not clean to be honest at boxes everywhere but you know I guess they need to do some stocking on their shelves so I'm not gonna hold that against them for dollar dollar 25 so can't go wrong with that service was fine. I just had to give a review for this Dollar Tree location because of Jeremy Moxley (spelling may be off) but this young man was so nice. He asked "Did you find everything you were looking for?" Then, he wished us a blessed day as we left. You don't see good customer service anymore like this at all. I left the store and then had to walk back in and tell the manager I appreciated that small act of kindness. It may not seem like a lot but nowadays it's a big deal. Good job to Corey who works there too for walking an old ladies items out to her car. I'm impressed!! read more

I stopped in at this Dollar Tree for a small item that I needed for a craft project and was shocked and surprised at the condition of the store and attitude of the employees. I used to visit a Dollar Tree in another town before moving to Louisville and it was nothing like what I saw in this Dollar Tree. As I approached the store, one of the few employees was standing by the front door smoking. When I opened the door to the store, I was hit in the face with a terrible smell. The floors were dirty and the aisles were strewn with dropped merchandise and debris. The shelves are not well stocked, and many items are in a jumbled mess. I couldn't wait to get the item that I needed and get out! The employees were apathetic, and for lack of a better word, disheveled. I will not be returning to this store. read more

This store has undergone the biggest metamorphosis of any business establishment during the COVID crisis. The store features larger isles and a new tile floor. Walls are freshly painted and the store is now actually neat, clean and orderly. Boxes no longer block the isles making it a slalom to traverse. There are new personnel on board with a very friendly and helping attitude. They observe COVID protocol wearing masks and having patrons observe the 6' social distancing rule at checkouts. Employees manning the registers are behind large plexiglass barriers. Shelves are neatly stocked and one can find some real bargains on everyday use items. I recently bought rubber-lined placemats to line the interior shelves of our refrigerator for you guessed; 1$. Dollar Tree also features a pre-mixed vinegar cleaning/disinfectant solution and baking soda specifically formulated for cleaning purposes. Definitely a place to stop in weekly before making a major grocery / household supply run. It's great to see a business actually thrive during this pandemic in our Middletown neighborhood. I absolutely love the Dollar Tree! I mean, you'll get what you're shopping for... $1 items. Don't come in expecting the highest quality of everything, but they do have a nice selection and I particularly love this store for party supplies and small decorations for themed parties. This location always has a wide selection of items, especially for holidays. They tend to have more here than at some of the other locations I have visited. I will say this location can be a bit unorganized, and the service isn't always the fasted or friendliest, but I can usually find what I'm looking for here. And, when is it not great to purchase everything you need - even for a large party - for under $50, or sometimes even under $20! read more

Unfortunately this isn't a place I will likely return to, unless somehow there is no other option. Considering the price of goods here, I had already scaled my expectations down. Still, you expect certain things from a business you patronize. The store has always been pretty dirty based on my experience. In the past, it didn't bother me as much, because my expectations were realistic. That being said, this location is in Middletown, so I expect a baseline of standards. In my experience, they have fallen short by a large margin. Sill, that's not my issue here. We recently visited to buy balloons for a baby shower. When we arrived, there were two employees smoking in front of the store. Not a good look, but it didn't ruin my visit. We walked in and there was one employee working at a cash register, and nobody else in sight. We walked to the balloon section and stood behind some other customers waiting for help. The man at the register yelled out toward the door, saying he needed one of them to come in and help with balloons. One of the ladies, visibly quite irritated, came back behind the balloon desk. "Do you know what you want?", the lady asked. The customers I'm front of us quickly said exactly what they needed. The lady behind the counter then very rudely told them that they should have called ahead so they would be ready, but clearly implying that she didn't want to do this. It wasn't anywhere close to a courteous, "oh by the way". That was all I needed. My wife and I left, and went to Party Paradise, a local business, where we had a great experience. Before I start, I know it's a Dollar Tree, so I wouldn't expect anything different. I was standing in line 6+ feet away from the register waiting to check out doing my part (as COVID-19 is in full swing). The back of one of the cashiers register was near where I was waiting and she walks out, turns towards me, and coughs & coughs into the air without even covering her mouth and then goes back to scanning the customers items. Even the people behind me said "gross" and made a face. I mean what in the world? I won't be returning to this location because clearly they aren't taking simple precautions. Just had such a bad experience at Middletown, Ky Dollar Tree it was almost funny. Bought 3 stoage items and a bottle of Ajax çleaning spray. Checked out, put my bag in car and drove around corner. I smelled a disinfecting smell and saw the passenger fron seat was soaked. The top of the ajax spray bottle was off and everthing was wet. Ruined w my wallet and all the paper in it, soaked leather seats and more. the stirage items were ok because they were glass. I had a bag in car from another purchase so I removed purchase and put thedollar tree bag in that and tied shut. Go back to Middletown, Ky store and explained to cashier the mess in my car and no I dont want another one because the whole lot might be defective. She called a manager, a young person named Tim. He was rude from the start, told me I could not get my $1.06 back and I should have put the top on tighter. ?????? I didnt budge. The entire customer base in the store watched a 2 minute exchange. Only when I asked his name and corporate number did he give me my money back. If I was just returning something I didnt like I would understand the "you can only exchange, no refund" rule. We drove 25 minutes to get to the dollar tree and they wouldn't let us in even though it was two hours before their closing time. She wouldn't even let us in but there were multiple people coming out of the store in more people shopping. Worst customer service and worst people ever. So angry!!! read more

Terrible store!!!! I normally love visiting all the stores in the USA but this one takes the cake on poor customer service, negative managers and unfriendly atmosphere ! I have a Servicedog and without fail they always attack me for having one, they are highly ignorant of the laws regarding service animals and I actually told one of the managers to call the police because she was threatening me and Kiki my Servicedog!!! read more
