I really like this store. BUT something has changed. Shelves are empty, lack of stock, lots of things moved around. Today we were all walking around looking for where items are. Very strange. It was well stocked, knew where items were and now it's like half filled and empty and very strange. No garbage bags, toiletries are very unappealing. What happened there. Was one of my regular to go places. Several other customers were saying same thing. We were all wondering what's wrong.????? This particular Dollar Tree is not one to be missed. It is very clean, well organized and the staff are willing to be of assistance. Various selections and assortments for the holiday and overall household needs. This store is massive as well. Plenty of items to pick from. So far, I've been to maybe 4 dollar trees in Las Vegas. This one was the first one that I've visited and continues to be my favorite. They are fully stocked and organized with the new arrivals. The other stores close off entire aisles because they need to put out the new inventory but they can't because they are under staffed. This location even had 2 cashiers! It is a dollar store so expectations aren't very high and one of the 2 electronic doors only opened enough for me to squeeze in. I had to walk around to the farther door to leave with my large shopping haul. read more

Dede was the best!! Was helpful & knowledgeable on inventory. Seemed to be checking isles for cleanliness. :) Store was very clean & well kept. Dede was so friendly. I really enjoyed how quick & easy the transaction was Short & sweet! Usually stores will rush you out because they're closing. I came in 20 mins to close. But i didn't feel rushed or stalked the entire time. I was casually browsing for some ice cream & made me purchase. It's always nice to pop in for a quick gander as there's not a dollar tree near me. When I tell you this is one of the few Dollar Trees in the LasVegas that has it all...it is. Especially in the wooden project department. I was making a gift for my graduate. I got everything I needed: candies, wooden crates, paint, fake flowers and pool noodles but the store was fully stocked. They don't have any bags. How are you? What are you supposed to do with your products after you purchase them? They didn't even think that it's worth opening up a box of trash bags and make it convenient on their customers spending money... no they think it's easier just to put signs up and say we don't have any bags. We're not there just put up a sign that says we don't have any problem solving skills I mean seriously you're a store that sells small trash bags little 1 gallon trash bags. This is a really good store to go to when you want to save some money. When ever I am buying something for a party or a celebration this is my go to store. Think about it? When you buy something for a party it is just for a short time that you will be using what you paid for, why would you spend extra when you do not need to. This store always has a lot of items and if you do not have a lot of money you can really make someone's day by doing something special for them. The prices are really thrifty here. The money you will save buying something here you can then take someone out for a nice meal. This place even has food , refrigerated and frozen food. This place has lots of candy too, this place is really great if you are planning on going to the movies or just having friends over to watch a movie, you will be the hit of the party with all the goodies you can buy cheap here. read more

Well I love the dollar store just as much as the next person, but I can do WITHOUT attitudes! My hubby and I needed to pick up a few things from the dollar store, I don't really have a favorite store, I like to switch around. I suggested we go to the store on West Lake Mead because it's not too far and is usually pretty clean and stocked, I'm the type of shopper that doesn't want to hold people up, I noticed my cart was filling up quickly. I looked up front, oh great! One checkout and it's not moving too fast. Other shoppers were heading to the checkout and a line began to form. I told hubby let's just look around some more as I don't want to hold the line up. I kept checking and noticed 2 people in line and no one else heading that way. I kept hoping no one would get in line behind me because I truly do feel bad when the next person has to wait while the cashier slowly (sometimes ) rings everything up. Well, as I knew would happen a line began to form behind me. We hadn't started unloading our cart yet when I noticed another employee close by. This employee clearly saw the long line but continued to stock and stack products. She looked like a manager to me, but I can't verify that. Anyway, I went over to her as she was trying to avoid eye contact with the cashiers area and said "excuse me, I have a lot of stuff and the line is growing, do you think you could call for another cashier?" She looks at me and rolls her eyes and storms away. I say to her "I'm just asking you a question". WOW, I'm thinking excuse me! She then goes to open up a lane and just says "next" - not calling me over first. I did end up first in her line and what a pleasure she was. She purposely turned her badge over so I couldn't see her name and then rang up my order with an attitude. No thank you afterwards - have a good night with a snarl. You know who needs to be treated like this in some cheap variety store? If you hate your job and the public that much why don't you just get a job where you can work from home and spread your attitude there! Why are employees allowed to act like this and treat their customers poorly? I won't be going to this particular store anymore and I will spread the word to all my friends. I went there for cleaning supplies and there were two separate items (dish soap and a spray disinfectant) that were already opened and leaked all over me and the floor. There is always a line. The people working the register are some of the slowest I've ever seen. On one of my visits, I picked up an empty water bottle from the parking lot that was next to my car. I hate to see litter and was trying to help. However, I noticed the water bottle had gunk all over it so I really didn't want it in my car, and I dropped it back out the window. A man came and picked up the water bottle and threw it IN MY FACE. I couldn't believe it. I called the store when I got home and asked to speak to a manager about the situation. The man said that he was the one who threw the plastic bottle at me, and he is the manager, and hung up on me. The manager of this store is clearly unhinged and has no issue assaulting young women. If that's the type of place you'd like to support then go ahead, but in my opinion there's no redeemable qualities about this store that would entice me to come back. read more

One of the biggest and cleanest DT's I've ever seen! I wasn't impressed with the selection even though they had all the basics. The frozen food selection was OK, and I almost bought the mini Cinnabon package. I was hoping they would have better stuff since it wasn't busy, and this would be a convenient place to drop in for some bottled water without waiting too long. The greeting card section was good, and those are always a deal, some were even 2/$1! They had quite a bunch of decor for July 4th, and it seemed like nice stuff. The party section is pretty big, and I would recommend checking here first before you look for that stuff on amazon. The office supplies section is another good one, with many different sized bubble envelopes available. I'm sure the selection rotates often, so I'll return and give the food sections another look. read more

I could not believe the large variety of greetings cards, I bought 4. I've been to this location twice since it opened. Both times it's had several customers at any given time making it a rather quiet shopping experience. There are many brand name food and toiletry items and just a few days ago I became aware that Dollar Tree accepts manufacturer's coupons! All this time I was missing out! Check their website for the coupon policy. The staff is minimal. The store is well organized and clean. I've seen no more than two staff members in the store; a cashier and a "manager" (appeared to be in charge). The one time I've used the restroom it was well stocked and clean. Now that I know they accept coupons, I will be planning more trips to this store. I usually find more items I need/want at other 'dollar stores' but Dollar Tree gets five stars because it accepts coupons! read more

A five star review for a Dollar Tree? Bet your sweet bipee! There are certain things I think of when I got to any dollar type store. We all have our list of stuff. The stock in this store was similar to other stores but where it stood out was merchandising and cleanliness. I bet I have been in 100 similar stores in several different states and this was by far the cleanest, most organized and best stocked of all. I did not see one single item out of place. There were no empty shelves shelves or sold-out items. The checkout experience was great. This store has been decent before but I went today and while the store was clean and products in stock the customer service that I received was not enjoyable. Gayle checked me out and she was unpleasant, rude to other customers that came up in line after me and was aggressive when bagging my items. I thought she might break some of my glass items due to how aggressive she was and roughly putting them down. The customer service alone makes me iffy on wanting to go back to this location. read more

Listen good. I shop at DT 4 times a week all over the west side at 4 primary stores. This is the newest location on the west side. Nice looking store - well laid out and clean. I lke your product selection and prefer your store over 99 cent....... HOWEVER...... These stores - including THIS ONE TODAY keep their customers WAITING in idiotic long lines while there is ONE cashier on and NO OTHER STAFF IN THE WHOLE BLDG! Which is a joke....while the MNGR of the day HIDES in the back - IGNORING the customers and their wasted time as the single line STRETCHES into the damn isle!!! I waited for 8 minutes today with 4 in front of me while 7 more piled up behind me and still NO ONE CAME to relieve the guy on cash - so THEN I said "ARE YOU THE ONLY STAFF MEMBER IN THIS DAMN BLDG!??? " he then picked up the phone and called the hiding mgm OUT of the back to which I asked "WAS SHE HIDING???!!!" does she not SEE the damn line here or does she simply NOT CARE?!!! You see DT - now listen closely here - I am like a watchdog for stores on the west side that consistently don't give a damn about their customers time or day and leave them standing in longer and longer lines - everyone clapped and laughed while I ridiculed your cashier for not knowing to call BEFORE I RASIED MY VOICE - you see - his eyes are working!!! This tells me - that maybe your mgmt. TELLS the staff NOT to call them out to help the lines - which of course is reason to boycott and close this location as fast as it has opened!! Now - this is your heads up - as I will be in there every week and monitoring this idiotic behavior of allowing the customers to wait without regard and reporting it. I suggest you tell your 10.00 mgmt. to institute this policy right away. Dollar Tree is one of my favorite places to shop. I mean who doesn't love a good dollar store considering the 99 cent store now is 99 cents and up and Dollar Tree is still a dollar store. They have great selections of food and necessaries along with a couple other categories I love going in for their party stuff and some other cleaning stuff and some of their frozen things I personally stay away from the toys and like Nick nack isles stationary is hit-or-miss but it's a great store for DIY projects. Worst customer service ever! Today December 23 @ around 5pm, I was waiting in line on Cashier 3 and wasn't sure if the register was open. I asked the cashier (female) that was behind the register and instead of just answering me directly, she looked at her coworker across from her, pointed to the light, rolled her eyes and said, "Well the light is on, isn't it?"--without ever addressing me directly! I don't know what her issue was because I was never rude toward her; I was merely making sure that she's not already off-shift (as was my previous experience with grocery stores). I asked nicely and I'm sure if their CCTV cameras are working, they would have caught her nasty reaction on tape. This is unacceptable esp. during the holidays. This is the first Dollar Tree I've ever been to where I was treated like crap. Rest assured I will not come back here again and tell my friends and family in the Summerlin area to do the same. This review is solely based on Marcy at the cash register. She is perhaps the laziest employee I have ever came across. I always bring my own grocery bags. I do my best to be less wasteful. However, Marcy always insists on using dollar tree's plastic bags even at my own behest. I have to strictly instruct her every time to use the plastic bags that I brought. She comes up with so many excuses every time. "oh it's not going to fit!" How would she know if she didn't even try?! Anyway, I end up packing it myself anyways because she says she's not "organized" enough to do it. Like there's really any difference from the plastic bags she uses with the cloth bags I bring. I seriously do not know what she has against my grocery bags. It's like she gets a commission or even a quota for using as much plastic bags as she can in one day. I'm not one to make such a big deal out of this but it just so happens every time I come in the store it's becoming a nuisance.
