This has to be the poorest and most filthy Dollar Tree in the region. Seriously it's appalling: the floors are unsanitary the merchandise is out of order and worst of all the staff are just plain bored or something This is definitely a store to AVOID at all costs. Good place for getting house hold item and essentials for a dollar although i went in there cuz everywhere else ran out of essential with this coronavirus outbreak. The parking is extremely big since its inside a plaza which also contains lots of other stores too. Staff ate friendly check out is fast and professional. They also have a bottle of hand sanitizer at the cashier you can have a pump if yoi want. Definitly a good place read more

I have been to dollar tree stores in Montgomery County and Washington DC and I've been shopping at dollar tree stores for over 20 years this is the most dirtiest store that I have ever seen the bathroom has no paper towels and the sink had no soap. I am trying to get the house more organized and decided to start with my toiletries, makeup and haircare items. Noticed Dollar Tree had super cute and functional storage bins online and set out to find them. First store didn't have the color I wanted and when I searched online this was the next closest location. Although the photos online were scary, I was on a mission to get those bins so I could finish organizing this weekend and headed over. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to a clean and well organized store with friendly employees. I didn't find the bins and asked an employee for assistance. He was nice enough to walk with me to the aisle and verify they were out of stock. This location has lots of items. There is a decent food/frozen section. I love the "awesome" brand cleaning supplies. They work just as well as expensive brand names. The employees are cheerful and nice. I visit during the day. A friend who used to work here was robbed in the parking lot. read more

GROSSSS!!! I didn't want to write this review, but I just left this store and feel it would be a disservice to fellow shopper if I don't write it. This place is disgusting! And, it is consistently disgusting no matter when you go there. At first, I thought I had dropped by on an off day, but after going back several times I see they just DON'T care. Each time I've gone back to this location with high hopes that things have improved. NOT IN THE LEAST!! The floors are absolutely filthy, the shelves have product thrown about onto them, and half of the shelves are completely bare. The selection of products seems inferior to other Dollar Trees I have been to, and the shelves seem to be under stocked all of the time. I can not figure out how this location stays open, but I see folks walking around in there shopping as if they don't deserve a decent store to shop in. I would agree with the reviewer whom stated that customers let their toddlers run around, as if they were on the playground. They open items and play around with the stock. Crazy! read more

I thought the reviews were exaggerated. I was wrong. Everything was true. This store look worse than the mall before it closes after black Friday. Im sure they are breaking all kinds of hazards by having the aisles filled with boxes of stock and carts. You can barely reach the shelves. The floor is FILTHY. The ground looks like it has not been swept or mopped since they first opened. It looks like a store that is about to liquidate. This store is either poorly managed or filled with lazy employees. They perhaps need an overnight team for about a week to really get the store organized and cleaned properly. A review mentioned it looking like a 3rd world country. Ok, the reviews a pretty close to true that the store is always a bit messy and the lines are always long. However, I have only ever seen two employees working at any given time. There is no way with in reason two peep can clean the isles, check people out and stalk the shelves quickly. They do the best they can to keep the lines moving. As for the store being a mess, maybe if customers respected the property more and didn't let their kids run around like it's Disney land, the store would stay more presentable. I swear I wish I could give this store a negative 1!!! I do not blame the staff!!! Mainly because there's rarely any in the store. Two to three at MOST. DT took over from a previous dollar type discount store and did NOTHING inside the store!! Nothing is new, updated or CLEAN. DT just slapped their sign out front. The store is ALWAYS a dirty mess! Boxes and trash everywhere. Empty shelves. The floors are obviously never moped. I feel so bad for the 2-3 employees there because they can't keep up! This place is a disgrace and it's the way it is because it's in a Latino/ black neighborhood. A day after I went to the University Blvd, Hyattsville MD location I went to one on Georgia Ave in silver spring MD and it was the exact opposite. This Dollar Tree should be SHUT DOWN & REOPENED WITH NEW MANAGERS.! So idk who the manager is but last time i was in there store was decent but registers broke down, stood in line for 20mims before they started using they brains because I said "can we open another reguster: , then after 10mins a girl came up and helped. Today walking in I thought " are they open?". Up on walking in lights look dim, boxes, merchandise, and just everything on the shelves were on the floors. Everything misplaced, shelves damn bear empty, two bottles of body wash left, only part of the store that was near was the candy aisle , because the women who was fixing actually looked liked she wanted to fix the store. The employees were just loud and ghetto, clearly see you need hekp, but so busy being loud nd talking too each other, not paying the few wondering customers no mind. I finally got in line, I had to ask the cashier "why does the store look like this?" He says with female attitude "like what!?" I said "is there no manager?" He says "yeah" I said "oh just wondering because I never seen a store in America look like this..." he says as he rolling his eyes low key "like what?" And I said "a mess", he then clearly us offended as if his birth certificate says Dollar Tree smh, fake rude polite slides my bag to me, and smmoved to the next customer. I have been to various dollar type of stores since I was a teenager because my late adoptive mother use to sometimes take some of my siblings and I to get some essentials from the Dollar store in town (I admit I just forgot if it was Dollar General or something else, but they are pretty similar). As with other people online via this forum I have also been to various type of dollar stores (I remember a dollar store in Orlando, Florida (it was either around 2009 or 2010)that had a produce section for fruits in addition to some groceries). This Dollar Tree in Hyattsville, Maryland has some non-perishable food, some frozen food, cleaning supplies, beauty supplies, candy, and other type of knick knack items that a person could use for essentials. On my recent trip I purchased some Black Forest Juicy Oozers Wild Gummy Bears, a package of Hershey's Chocolate pudding, a package of pepperoni, good &plenty candy (my husband's pick), some 14 ounce of Spahaus teatree mint hair conditioner. Overall, the order was only five dollars and 18 cents, with the cashier being both cordial and quick with my order (the machine I was using allowed 10 dollars cash back). read more
