    Store Aisle

I am trying to get the house more organized and decided to start with my toiletries, makeup and haircare items. Noticed Dollar Tree had super cute and functional storage bins online and set out to find them. First store didn't have the color I wanted and when I searched online this was the next closest location. Although the photos online were scary, I was on a mission to get those bins so I could finish organizing this weekend and headed over. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to a clean and well organized store with friendly employees. I didn't find the bins and asked an employee for assistance. He was nice enough to walk with me to the aisle and verify they were out of stock. Even though they didn't have what I was looking for, I appreciated the good customer service and clean store.

I thought maybe the store had fallen behind on stocking; however, after reading the other reviews- it is clear that the store is always a junk pit. Gross. Smelled like wet dog too! Sad because all the other Dollar Trees I've visited were really nice.

GROSSSS!!! I didn't want to write this review, but I just left this store and feel it would be a disservice to fellow shopper if I don't write it. This place is disgusting! And, it is consistently disgusting no matter when you go there. At first, I thought I had dropped by on an off day, but after going back several times I see they just DON'T care. Each time I've gone back to this location with high hopes that things have improved. NOT IN THE LEAST!! The floors are absolutely filthy, the shelves have product thrown about onto them, and half of the shelves are completely bare. The selection of products seems inferior to other Dollar Trees I have been to, and the shelves seem to be under stocked all of the time. I can not figure out how this location stays open, but I see folks walking around in there shopping as if they don't deserve a decent store to shop in. I would agree with the reviewer whom stated that customers let their toddlers run around, as if they were on the playground. They open items and play around with the stock. Crazy!

The store is closed by the health department. I went by today. It's usually pretty nasty there, like other reviews have shown

The store has been closed for almost a month by the health department. The other reviews are true. It was nasty.

Had to stand on carts to view cards. Aisle were full of stock and carts. I have never seen a store this unorganized.

I thought the reviews were exaggerated. I was wrong. Everything was true. This store look worse than the mall before it closes after black Friday. Im sure they are breaking all kinds of hazards by having the aisles filled with boxes of stock and carts. You can barely reach the shelves. The floor is FILTHY. The ground looks like it has not been swept or mopped since they first opened. It looks like a store that is about to liquidate. This store is either poorly managed or filled with lazy employees. They perhaps need an overnight team for about a week to really get the store organized and cleaned properly. A review mentioned it looking like a 3rd world country. But I have been to a few and never one as disgusting as this store.

This place is straight out of a Third World country. More stuff in boxes on the floor than out of boxes shelves are empty staff is no help.

I have been watching Langley Park change stores, transform and grow over the past few decades…read more There are lots of wonderful little gems in the area. This store is in a strip mall with a giant white monster (Metro's purple line construction). There are two main categories in the store: scrubs & trendy clothes. There are all sorts of cute tops, leggings and dresses. They even have "real" sizes for those of us who are not a size two. I have found wonderful outfits for me & my mom. You can find a top for $5.99 that would be $30 somewhere else. There are wonderful finds throughout the store. You may have to hunt for them, but it is worth it. You can follow the store on facebook for coupons. Bonus points for the clearance bin at the store entrance.

While shopping my son and bf get a lil playful but nothing serious I barely even noticed until I hear a lady who works by the dressing room area SCREAMING at my family "NO RUNNING, NO PLAYING" very aggressively and RUDE! My bf apologizes and they stop. The lady continued to speak on it with someone she was on the phone with. It was very uncomfortable and disrespectful and hard to continue shopping. Few minutes later I assume another employee, catches my boyfriend's attention to see if he is interested on buying shoes.... Now I kid you not, the lady tells the other employee "NO! Him no!" that was my last straw! My bf is African American, I'm Hispanic. I understood everything that lady was talking because she knew my bf would not understand so she felt it was okay to say whatever she wanted. I finally asked to speak with a manager, only an assistant manager was there I explained what happened and how it seems that lady has a problem with us. It looked like she really showed no care because we never even got an apology, only that she was gonna speak with her. So we decided to leave and just go somewhere else. I recommend Scrubs and Beyond.

So, apparently I've been "sleeping" on Aldi all these many years. I have passed by this location…read moremany times, but it never dawned on me to stop in and check out the store. But a friend recently told me that Aldi is selling an inexpensive dupe of the very popular social media darling known as the "Always Pan" -- so I ran to my local Aldi to check it out. I am very impressed with this store. It is bright, clean, and seems to be well organized and well stocked. Now admittedly, I did not shop for any groceries or consumable items (as I'm partial to Trader Joe's, Mom's Organic, and Whole Foods) but the aisles of food products looked clean and respectable. I only went down the "Deal Days" aisle that's full of household items of all kinds (think cookware, greeting cards, exercise equipment, decorative baskets, etc.) and bought the items I wanted. I have gone to this store twice now -- once for myself, and once to pick up more pans for friends once they realized this store still had some in stock. Each time, I thought the lines were long (since only 2 lanes were open at a time), but the cashiers (were are all super nice and friendly) were always very efficient. So you didn't have to wait as long as you thought you would in the end. There are so many things to like about this store! It seems to cater to more of a budget or low-income shopper. But everything is offered in a clean, professional, and dignified manner -- which is all to rare to see in businesses that serve mainly black and brown people. All the shoppers conducted themselves appropriately (unlike the absolute foolishness you see in Walmart and places like that). And I really like the professionalism of the staff. And I also liked the parking lot, which was nice and wide and easy to maneuver in. Maybe one day I'll come back and check out their actual food offerings. But as far as the experience of getting in and out while grabbing some great Aldi household products -- I'm a fan! 5 star experience for sure. P.S. One tip that most of you may know if you're not an Aldi novice like me -- shopping carts are not free. You must use a case quarter to unlock the cart for your use. You get the quarter back (I'm told...as I didn't have a quarter on me since I don't carry cash) when you return the cart at the end. I think that's a great idea and wish more businesses (like Walmart) would do that so that carts weren't left willy-nilly all over the place!

ALDI - This is exactly the kind of thing I like but they screwed it up by using a Hatch Chili purée seasoning instead of pieces of Hatch Chili's
