The owner was so kind to give me a discount on the sign, since it was on in her online sale the day before. I didn't even know! I was surprised and thankful for that small gesture. Two years ago I needed a small 4 or 5 drawer dresser, nothing fancy, to be used in my home workshop, for various tools, etc. I walked in and within 2 minutes found the very thing I was looking for, and for a price that was quite reasonable. After two years, I decided that the workshop needed a wider look, with more space for everything, and that the tools and other items I kept in the drawers, needed to be seen so I didn't have to hunt for something. So, I removed the things in the drawer, put the small dresser in my car, and took it back to Sweet Life Thrift. Carolyn Maginot is the owner, and was most gracious to accept the dresser to resell. The shop is small but has lots of rooms of men and womens' clothes, nicknacks, hats, and more, that would tickle anyone's fancy (small furniture pieces, jewelry, antiques, etc.. The parking lot is just up the corner on the right from East Main street and Hughes Rd. She has a sign up every day it is open. If you are curious if she has what you might be looking for, the shop phone number is 530-802-5288. Supporting our small businesses and meeting the owners is good for Grass Valley. The prices at Sweet Life are as competitive and even cheaper than GoodWill. Give it a try and I don't think you will be disappointed.
