Back in the day .. there was Murphy's ... Hills, Kmart and now Roses! This store reminds me of the…read moregood old days.. discounted department store...not as overwhelming and large as Walmart. I love to walk around and browse.. good deals and no doubt unique items. This store offers discounted pricing on so many items. .. clothing, purses, under garments, kitchen and bath, pet food, home decor etc. I love the seasonal items and rug selection is pretty great ! I picked up a 2018 calendar for a $1.00 and get compliments on it often. The cleaning supplies and candy aisle are great too! Always a fun visit to Rose's..look forward to it every time!!

He chatted me up to pass the time. Why one star, you ask? Well, the manager KATHY was totally rude to the cashier and I'm tired of her garbage attitude. There was another time I caught her being rude; I digress. So, she comes up to the register and he tells her the problem. She SNIPS AT HIM. " You don't have to have them, you can do it later LIKE I TOLD YOU BEFORE." She was totally unprofessional in front of customers and it made me uncomfortable. I feel that she tried to humiliate this young man, who is just starting to work and get out there. So what if she told him that before. She ought not share her dislike for his performance with customers. Totally inappropriate! And the way she said it was very, very condescending. I can't impress that enough! When I told her that wasn't right for her to include customers she said that she was "sorry" in the most passive agressive way she could muster. Just terrible. I commend the young man for his keeping his composure. As for KATHY, a while ago, she was talking bad about a co-worker up in the front of the store. I do not shop at Rose's that often, so I'm so sure if I have noticed her behavior, then others do too. Maybe they are scared to say something. I am not. I actually tried to call the store just after this happed,to get the number of a District Manager, but GUESS WHAT?? I KEPT GETTING HUNG UP ON! I CAN SHOW THE NUMBER OF TIMES I CALLED ON MY CALLER I.D.! HANG UP, AFTER HANG UP, AFTER HANG UP. THIS STORE AND HOW IT IS RUN NEED TO BE UNDER REVIEW.

The guy that owns this place is a liar. I was shopping on FB marketplace for a pet ramp or steps…read morefor my newly adopted rescue bulldog to use to get onto a very high bed. I messaged him on a Saturday for availability and measurements. He provided me with measurements that would work, and I told him I could pick it up the next day. He wasn't available and said he'd send me an invoice to pay and would hold it until Monday. To me, that meant I had until the end of the day Monday to pick it up. I got the sense it was some kind of store, but he never said so nor gave me a name or any hours of operation. Just an address. I drove just over an hour on Monday to get it, and the sign on the door said they were only open Thursday-Saturday. I messaged him, and he said I should have messaged him before coming. On Tuesday, he messaged me that he'd be there for 2 hrs, but I was on my way to work. He said he'd be there Wednesday as well and would message me when he got there. He never did so I waited until Thursday. This time, I did message before leaving so he knew I was coming. When I got there, he did not have the ramp set aside. It was still on the shelf. It had a sold sticker on it, but it was very small and on the side of the ramp where it could easily have been missed by an employee trying to sell it or a customer wanting to buy it. He had to search for it himself, and I didn't see it until he showed it to me. When I got the ramp home and set it up, it was way too small. He had told me the measurements were 42" in length and 32" in height. After measuring it, it was actually 37" in length and 20" in height. WAY off. So I messaged him yet again. He said that he "didn't know" and "based on the evidence, it appears a mistake has been made". He told me that there were no refund "papers" posted all over his store and if I hadn't stormed in rude and left rude I might have noticed. Not sure what he meant with that. Maybe he wanted to swap life stories while I was there. He kept trying to throw out excuses for the previous lack of communication but I wasn't biting. I had to get home and then to work. I'd already driven more than an hour each way twice, wasting time and gas. He offered me store credit, and said that next week he would check his warehouse for the correct ramp. I didn't need or want store credit. I needed a ramp or steps. Nor did I really want to wait another week, but I would have. However, after telling him that I did not need or want store credit and asking what the alternative was if he could not find the correct ramp, he told me that I should have brought a tape measure with me and if I didn't want store credit then there was nothing he could do for me and I should sell it on FB marketplace. He told me that I had shown up without an appointment and that I couldn't just show up and demand people to run on my time. Something I did not do, nor a business that he provided a name or hours for. He told me I should have brought my own tape measure with me and that this was FB marketplace. Why does a business need to post "no refund papers" all over the place if they're being honest about their products? Seems to me as if maybe they've had multiple issues with this kind of thing. I would humbly take my losses if this had been my mistake, but he sent me misinformation. I personally sell on Marketplace all the time and I am always very honest about what I am selling. I told him he was showing poor customer service for a business. He disagreed and said that he would not be checking his inventory or getting in any more dog ramps and that I should save my gas. This guy is the rude one. I would think two, three, and four times over before trusting him or buying anything from his store.
